Lakers making tangible progress after 99-82 win over New York Knicks

December 30, 2011 | 12:30 am

Among the highlights of my breakdown on the Lakers' 99-82 victory on Thursday over the New York Knicks:

  • We've seen it happen repeatedly. But it's amazing to see Kobe Bryant remain as dominant as he is despite the various health concerns.
  • The Lakers are improving on defense by remaining more aware on where to rotate on weakside defense.
  • Considering the circumstances, the Lakers have maintained a determined attitude in fighting through adversity.
  • The Lakers also benefit from having their personnel playing clearly defined roles.
