Ron Artest excited to meet Celine Dion
There's really no use wondering why, but Ron Artest apparently has a fixation with Celine Dion.
In an interview with ESPN Magazine in which he interviewed himself, Artest revealed how he cried watching the movie "Titanic" because of Dion's heart-wrenching song, a sappy admission probably no one else shares. When he won the keys last year to Las Vegas for his work with mental health charities, Artest admittedly hoped he'd meet Dion there and discuss working on a song together. And when Artest attended a Dion concert over the weekend in Vegas, he apparently felt so excited meeting her backstage that he said via Twitter that his "nipples froze."
Even Lakers fans who expect Artest to say weird things have to pause on that one. But then again, consider the rest of Artest's Twitter exchanges:
"I’m at Celine dion concert! Backstage!! Wow!!! Me and my boys!! Wow!!! She said she love my Jimmy Kimmel show when I had my beard on!!!!!!!!
"Where are all my celine dion groupies!!! Tweet me!!! I'm a groupie!!!!" for all the times......!!!!"
Wow!!!!!!!!!!! She bout to sing TITANIC!!!!!! Wow!!!!! Stevie wonder came out!!!
"Celine made me and all my thug friends cry with the French song!!!! She cried !!! Wow!!!! She hugged me !! I got chills!!"
No word yet on whether Artest's hope to collaborate with Dion will ever happen. But if it does, Artest will surely be the first to tell us on his Twitter account. To which everyone else will go to great lengths to avoid hearing the song.
