Fan gets Kobe Bryant's face tattooed on his leg
In a sign that the NBA lockout has made us all crazy, one Laker fan apparently thought it was a great idea to get Kobe Bryant's face tattooed on his leg.
There's no use analyzing the thought process behind this, other than perhaps that it might be in direct response to another fan last week getting LeBron James' face tatted up on his leg, including the giant head band. Suddenly, the body art featured on Dennis Rodman, Birdman and Matt Barnes appears pretty tame.
Also, the Bryant image the fan chose as body art is questionable. The tattoo features Bryant in a reflective pose with his hand resting on his chin as if he's deep in thought. I understand Bryant has adopted some of Phil Jackson's philosophies in exercising restraint and staying even-keeled during adversity. Wouldn't the defining image of Bryant, however, always be of him jutting his jaw and glaring straight ahead. Or perhaps a tat of Bryant chewing on his jersey. But no. Here we get Bryant appearing to imitate a Buddhist monk.
Either way, what might look cool and richly detailed now will look like a blob of ink 10 to 15 years from now.
