Bodog gives Ron Artest 10-1 odds to win 'Dancing With the Stars'

Ron Artest

There are plenty of ways to throw your money down the drain. You can continue investing in the stock market. You can suddenly decide that right now is the best time to sell your house. You can bet on Ron Artest winning "Dancing With the Stars."

As mentioned by Pro Basketball Talk's Kurt Helin, Bodog.com tabs Artest with 10-1 odds to win in the show beginning Sept. 18, putting him at equal billing with actor David Arquette. Considering Arquette often showed up to Laker games last season obnoxiously drunk and horribly dressed, it's not exactly a compliment. Then again, we're talking about Artest, who performed in a series of standup comedy shows where he just made fun of himself the whole time.

Artest clearly knows he doesn't have a shot against "Leverage's" Elisabetta Canalis (4-1), "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy's" Carson Kressley (4-1) and "The Hills'" Kristin Cavallari (5-1). He admitted, after all, last month that he can't dance. But for the sake of cancer research and making compulsive gamblers think they can cash in on Artest's success, he's surely vested in advancing. Until, of course, he trips in the opening round.
