NBA lockout: Lakers release 2011 preseason schedule

Lamar Odom

It was bad enough seeing NBA TV go over the 2011-2012 NBA schedule, delivering the news with a straight face as if the Lakers really will host the Oklahoma City Thunder Nov. 1 in their season opener.

Now this: The Lakers released their 2011 preseason schedule, listing games that likely no one will see. But for the sake of circling these dates on your calendar, hoping that action will magically accelerate the NBA front office and the players union to reach a collective bargaining agreement, below is the alleged schedule.

Oct. 9 - vs. Golden State Warriors at Fresno's Save Mart Center, 7 p.m.

Oct. 12 - vs. Atlanta Hawks at Ontario's Citizen Bank Arena, 7 p.m.

Oct. 15 - vs. Atlanta Hawks at Staples Center, 7 p.m.

Oct. 16 - vs. Utah Jazz at Staples Center, 7 p.m.

Oct. 19 - vs. Utah Jazz at Anaheim's Honda Center, 7 p.m.

Oct. 21 - vs. Sacramento Kings at Las Vegas' Thomas and Mack Center, 7 p.m.,

Oct. 25 - Clippers at San Diego's Valley View Casino Center, 7 p.m.

Oct. 27 - Clippers at Bakersfield's Rabobank Arena, 7 p.m.

For those who want to order tickets for likely nonexistent games, here's the link with all the information.
