Kobe Bryant performs a 360 dunk at his summer camp
With Laker fans on pins and needles over Kobe Bryant undergoing a derivation of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy on his right knee about a month ago in Germany, this will be a welcome sight to see.
In the Thursday session of his Kobe Basketball Academy at the University of California , Santa Barbara, Bryant performed his own version of Spudd Webb's legendary dunks, throwing the ball up and then throwing it down with a 360 slam. Even if Bryant has declined addressing his knee issues, that dunk in itself should at least ease some anxiety. (h/t to Ball Don't LIe's Dan Devine and Lakers Nation.
"Just left Kobes camp in Santa Barbara had a great time hanging w/the kids," tweeted Lakers forward Matt Barnes. "The Mamba looked good out there running & jumping like he was 22 again.. He's ready & the rest of us will be to."
With Laker fans anxious to hear whether Bryant will actually go on a barnstorming tour to China or even play with Turkey, clearly his competitive juices would stay the same regardless of where he's playing. After hearing a camper call himself the "White Mamba," Bryant questioned the camper's contention and challenged him to a game of one-on-one. "Mamba don't play that," Bryant retorted.
