Wow - trevor is on fire...guess it would be sweet kharma from him to light up the lakers and knock them out in the first round. just seems like the hornets want it more than the lakers. again, how an undermanned, undersized team is keeping up with the lakers is beyond me.
much credit goes to the hornets for playing their arses off!!! can't say that for the disappointing lakers squad.
terrible terrible.
Congrats to the bulls for knowing how to close out a series against a weaker opponent.
That's it. The TV is off. I can no longer stand to watch this team self-destruct. It's time for the Buss family to clean house and start rebuilding for a next year. The bench, in particular, hasn't cut it season the early weeks of the season and, except for Odom, they should all go.
who cares? I doubt that the Lakers will win the championship this year. They're not going to sweep this playoffs like they did last year. They are an okay team, but only Kobe is doing the work, and it will only be Kobe who saves them. All he needs is someone to back him up or take the lead and then he finishs it off. The other players are just....there.
What ankle injury? Those were monster dunks Kobe! The Lakers played the last 3 quarters like they cared! And when they play like that, no one can beat them in a 7 game series. This one is over. I have said from the beginning Lakers in 6. 3 down, 13 to go for # 17. Go Lakers!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, God - were you off answering the prayers of someone else tonight? It looks like you weren't paying attention to this game. I would have thought, of all people, that you, God, would have some faith in your Lakers. Dave, and Soapy - have you ever watched a Laker game before? Too bad you missed the part of the game that band-wagoners love, but bail when things are just warming up. Home Skillet Biscuit - what do you have to say NOW?
I have been watching this team since 1963, and if you can't stand the heat, root for the Clippers and get what you deserve. The Lakers have played in more than half of all the NBA Finals EVER! As fans, you guys act like the Lakers that you complain about. You're always up when they win, but even before the game is over, you just give up. Man, the Lakers are the best team in the league, and Kobe is Superman. That man has faith in himself and his team, and even excruciating pain can't stop The Black Mamba. It took a while for him to warm up, but he showed everyone what a champion is made out of.
Lakers in six, like I said on Sunday.
Keep the faith, and I guess they were right in the sixties - God is dead!
OK - I guess they didn't like my last comment, so how about this. You guys are cry babies and not true fans.
The Lakers in six, like I said on Sunday.
Kobe is The Man, and believes. You ought to pay attention to him.
Keep the faith, the Lakers have been in more than half of all the NBA Finals EVER - it's not by accident. Don't give up in the second quarter, it's a four quarter game, and a seven game series.
What's up moderator? The negative comments are OK, and factual rebuttals are not? That doesn't seem balanced. These are comments about the game, right?
>>>>That's it. The TV is off. waaahhhhh waaahhhhhh waaahhhhhh
Seriously? You turned off the TV while it was still in the first half of the game? You have that little faith in your team that you think they can't come back from a weak first quarter?
I'm guessing you didn't have the stomach to even turn on the TV for game 6 and 7 of the finals last year. After Boston beat the Lakers soundly in game 5, I'm sure you were ready to just surrender.
Well, you can always watch the replays of these games later in the summer when ESPN is re-capping the Lakers route to their threepeat

Are you a Laker fan at all, DaveW?? If yes, why would you want your team to lose??
Why would it be karma if Trevor beats the Lakers?? Because they called his bluff and did not give him the 10-mil/yr pay he was demanding??
Disappointing Lakers squad?? They did know how to pull out a win in the end, didn't they??
Yes, they may be disappointing for you because they won, and its a inconsolable loss for a Laker hater like you. In that scenario, yes they are disappointing, but guess what - we LOVE if its that kind of disappointment.
Is the chat on???

It is abundantly clear from his play (or lack thereof) that Kobe's injury is serious, which makes his refusal to have an MRI indefensible.

@God, what are you talking about? Kobe turned back the clock ten years with a pair of statement dunks on his "bad ankle" in this game!

Huh? What playoffs were you watching?
In the playoffs that I was watching, the Lakers lost two games to 8th seeded Oklahoma City, two games to Phoenix, and 3 games to Boston.
I'd hardly call that "sweeping" through anything.

Soapy Cooper....
Maybe just hold your horses son....
Relax before you jump ship.
Dave W....You must have been sleeping during the Houston and Thunder series ...Or maybe had a little to much to drink.
Its like children have been given a computer and stayed up way past their bed time.
