MM,
Fisher stinks on defense , granted when he plays center field and isn't guarding anyone he deflects a ball once in a while. But tons on times he roams around and the other team has a wide open 3 pointer. Or he doesn't stay in front of his man so someone else picks up his man and that guy passes and the other team gets a layup. Fisher is the biggest liability the Lakers yhave on defense and makes it very tough for the Lakers to play any type of lockdown defense. Even with there enormous height advantage. And his shooting is even doubly pathetic...considering how many open looks he gets and he is still only shooting in the 30's. He has a ridiculous amout of 1 for whatever games this week. If Phil would commit to Blake the Lakers would become a much better team. No even close !!!
Hey S Perkins, were you even watching this game or did you have your standard anti-Fisher spam comment written before this game even started? Fisher played GREAT tonight, stripping the ball from numerous Hornets, including getting a charge from Paul. Dude, give it up. You're only emphasizing what a one-trick pony you are on this blog.
Absolutely correct about DFish's defense tonight. He made Paul's life miserable by bodying up to him and not allowing him to run the pick and roll with impunity. Blake, on the other hand, had major problems with CP3 and was 0-3 from the floor. Blake has got to step up. Kobe played 43 mins. tonight. That can't continue.
Fish's ability showcased tonight is only a teaser for the playoffs(as if we don't know it yet). It's all about pacing for the long run, these VETS knows that.

Yes watched the whole game and yes Fish made some good plays tonight. Stripping the ball a few times and took a nice charge against Paul. But his so called great team defense was a joke...wandering around the court and leaving NO players open for numerous 3 pointers etc. Oh it is great to just notice the good things he does. But his slowness kills the Lakers and is probably not seen by fans like yourself who only notice what he brings and not all the times his pathetic slowness kills them. And he has gone (1 for )3 times in his last 5 games. They are getting next to nothing from him on offense. Contrary to popular thought be all the geniuses on here. Fisher does not rally run the offense. He makes an entry pass normaly to an open player. that is not running the offense !!!!
i agree that fisher left his man open esp for 3..if ur playing against san antonio, maimi or boston u cant leave them esp they have a lot of 3pts shooter...fisher one the problem of lakers his inability play defense and offense..did u watch agaianst spur his forcing all his shot thats why his bench in 4quarter...not pau is the problem of lakers its fisher his lucky that kobe and pau are in laker uniform...train brown to be a point guard or give blake a 20mins per game playing time...

If Fish and Artest could play defense like that for the rest of the season and playoffs, I'll feel a lot better about the Lakers chances.

VERY NICE INDEED if they play this way all throughout! Sadly, these players aren't young enough, they need to pace themselves for the long run.
I'm pretty sure though, they'll go all out in the playoffs!
LAKERS ALL DAY!!!
