Kobe Bryant to appear in Facebook game

58364896Forget waiting outside the Lakers locker room, blowing your life savings on courtside seats at Staples Center or hoping you just happen to run into him somewhere in Los Angeles. The best way for fans to get their hands on Kobe Bryant signed memorabilia apparently entails navigating Facebook sometime in the near future.

Bryant will be the focus of a new social game from Endemol USA and 6Waves, a concept North America 6Waves General Manager Jim Ying says hasn't completely ironed out but will feature Bryant having a significant role in the creative development process.

Said Bryant in a statement: "I'm excited to partner with Endemol USA and 6Waves to bring unprecedented entertainment to gaming fans worldwide."

Ying said some possibilities include integrating Bryant's Endemol-produced online video series, "Dream Makers," and Bryant's Basketball Academy. But nothing official has been set, including when Bryant, Endemol USA and 6Waves will have a definitive concept for the game. This much is clear: The game will feature players having the chance to win Kobe-autographed merchandise and tickets to a Lakers game, among other prizes.

"We're still figuring out the details," Ying said. "It's an opportuntiy for him to get engaged with fans on Facebook. Given the popularity of all these social games, it's great to work with celebrities who already have millions of fans on Facebook. We're still figuring out what the main idea will be. But Kobe is excited about the opportunity to be a part of this."

Great time for AB17 to get some rest and maybe not even play on Tuesday. At the same time, we shouldn't overlook Tuesday's game at all. I'd like to see Barnes stay with the Lake Show even if it means giving him some of Sasha's old money next season. I have to admit I'm rooting for Dallas tonight.

Colorado loves our World Champion Lakers!

Ricky,
>>>Hey bro, I have arguments, for example

I don't care. (lol)

Ohhh, now THAT"S funny!! LMAO!

Yess!

Hugo Boss sighting! Awesome that more fans are coming through the blog to say "what's up".

Cali
How's the UK treating you?

@EDWIN... I’ve been reading but have been too busy with work and the holidays to post much. Been loving watching the Lakers crush the Eastern Conference D-league teams. Drew still looks like he is glued to the court. And what is the deal with Mamba? I must have missed some posts. And is there also some kind of issue with Utz? What is going on here. We need both guys back.
.............................

@JAMIE... Meant to respond to your excellent post about what we should expect from Drew. I take a more positive view obviously and think Drew will be 100% by the end of the year. This is his training camp and he obviously is extremely rusty having not played at all during the summer. Just his presence changes everything so much, however, and I like that Phil is bringing him along slowly. He should be back enough to help us win on Christmas day.
..............................

TOM

Hugo Boss -

UK was treating me well - learned a lot at LSE, with more to come. Still need to do all the tourist stuff, as I haven't had much time to wander around the country/city.

How are things for you and yours in the CO?

@Tom: I'm here. Ouchhhhhh tried to "comically" dig at one of my posts last week by bringing up my daughter's lead poisoning episode. After getting checked by other Blog members, he kept on going and going. He also made a derogatory comment about Lew's deceased mother , along with other derogatory/harassing comments/actions as well.

I archived all the comments about my daughter and was gonna send them to MM. But, instead, he banned him before I got the chance to send anything.

Cali
CO is great. We're going to LA in March and maybe catch a live game. Happy holidays to you.

Laker Tom, as happy as I am to see Bynum back and starting to contribute, and as much as I want to beat the Heat on Christmas Day, I must say I think it would be a mistake to play Bynum significant minutes that day. It's exactly the kind of game that could set him back or even take him down with a serious aggravation of his injury. Bodies will be flying in all directions in that game, and Drew doesn't do flying bodies very well.

The game is of less importance to us than it will be to the Heat. Bottom line: we shouldn't risk serious injury to Bynum (and the season) just to beat the Heat in this game.

Caliphilosopher,

What are you doing in the United Kingdom?

In my tours of Europe, I've never visited the British Isles, much to my regret.

What do we play for? RINGS!!!

Lakers Today... Lakers Tomorrow... Lakers Forever.

GO LAKERS!!!!

CornerJ,

What I'm looking forward to is Ron Artest on LeCreep on Christmas Day.

What do we play for? RINGS!!!!

Lakers Today... Lakers Tomorrow... Lakers Forever.

GO LAKERS!!!

@utz - It's all water under the bridge...The important thing is...hopefully we get a Game Day Prayer tomorrow...I would also love to see a Mamba24 Roll Call...

These are game day traditions...and no matter what a few individuals say...Everyone else is very appreciative and looks forward to both of your game day roll calls and prayer...

We need everyone's positive synergy...Especially this Sat against the Cheats...Like going into battle...we need to make sure we have all our weapons...

Roll Call, Game Day Prayer, Positive winning synergy, our LA Lakers...How can we lose with that...

Lakers Dynasty - The Next Generation...

#17 Coming Up!!!

What Lew said!
Battle, weapons, game day prayer, roll call. That is all!

Hedo is a fan favorite. Also, they wanted to get rid of Vince the chokeartist.

I hope Bynum is OK. I am looking forward to the Lakers turning off the Heat!

The bench came in like the cavalry in the third. It was great to see at the end of a long trip.

What a surprose... I don't see a lot of Luke bashing... I thought he played really well. When he is on the floor, the triangle is cooking.

Bynum is great as a "B" Remind me why he needs to start again... So other teams can run by us? Because he makes more money? The triple threat of Kobe, Pau and Lamar has been working quite well. It is a tough desicion. If I were the coach (lol!), I would switch back and forth depending on who we play. I think we need Lamar in against the Heat no matter how Drew is feeling. They are young and like to run.

It was nice to see Kobe do a little "magic" for the fans. It is a show and he is a rock star.

Pau immediately started playing better knowing he doesn't have to be on the court for 45 minutes. I wasn't worried... ;-)

Ron hit more than half his shots for the third game in a row!

Match ups:
Pau and Ilgausgas - Advantage Lakers
Bosh and Lamar - Even (I am a Laker fan... ;-)
James and Ron - Advantage Heat
Arroyo/Chalmers and Fish/Blake - Advantage Lakers
Wade and Kobe - Advantage Lakers
Bench - Advantage Lakers
Coach - Advantage Lakers
Crowd - Advantage Lakers

I think the Lakers take this one at home.

I am a Lakerholic.

Jon K., ditto. I see that game as the ultimate test for Ron Ron. And I think he's going to really bring it to prove to everyone that this is why he was really brought to the Lakers. I love the guy (and originally didn't think I ever could). He quietly goes about his business defense-wise, and just ignores the slams he gets for his offense. I see him lying low in wait for this matchup. I think he's going to unleash his defensive beast and put an end to the "crab-walk" once and for all.

Crowd - Advantage Lakers

I think the Lakers take this one at home.

Don't forget about these guys

Refs - Advantage ?

If they let the game be physical, advantage Lakers. If not, advantage heat.

MM welcome back home, these's TROLL's are out of control. Dan your still the MAN any time you want to fill in.

These's Lakerholics are missing the flavor of this blog, MAMBA 24 bro needs to come home or I may have to leave.

The Heat got a BEATDOWN for the WORLD to WITNESS. Ho Ho Hooo.

CornerJ,

Here's the thing... Ron Artest may be the best defensive player in the game... now he gets to prove that reputation... on Christmas Day.

You guys would be surprised how many Kobe fans suddenly exist in Northeastern Ohio. These are the people who used to try to start fights with me for saying that Kobe was better than LeBron. Now they come up to me upon recognizing me and shout, "Kobe Bryant is the best!"

The Lakers need to beat the Hype on Christmas for the city of Cleveland... because the city of Cleveland couldn't do it themselves.

What do we play for? RINGS!!!

Lakers Today... Lakers Tomorrow... Lakers Forever.

GO LAKERS!!!!

LEWSTRS - Roll call and prayers are not going to SAVE you, grab your knee's and hold on. It's going to get real ULGY.

GO HEAT

Jon K - I almost blew it...lol

Roll Call, Game Day Prayer, Positive winning synergy, our LA Lakers...How can we lose with that...

correction:

Roll Call, Game Day Prayer, Positive winning synergy, Jon K's lucky barstool, our LA Lakers...How can we lose with that...

Lakerholic- Your match-ups are WACK, It's going to be no contest.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=5939551

Brandon Jennings won't be avail tomorrow night. Should make it that much easier for the team so we can save some energy for X-Mas Day. It's not a must win game for the team because lets face it: we won't and can't be beat in a series.

just continue nursing your knee drew and then let it all hang out just as the rest of the team will do when the playoffs arrive. it would be nice to win the next 4 games: bucks, heat, spurs & hornets. it would be a nice statement and of course, the fans, coaching staff and ownership would LOVE it.

GO LAKERS & IN BUSS WE TRUST!! MITCH - OUR EOY

The Lakers need to beat the Hype on Christmas for the city of Cleveland... because the city of Cleveland couldn't do it themselves.

Lakers Today... Lakers Tomorrow... Lakers Forever.

GO LAKERS!!!!

Believe this, the Lakers can't do it either. But as 888 say's "It's only Practice" this game don't mean anything.

JUSTA HATER - I know you know nothing about Championships for you are obviously a LeChoke fan...

So I see you enjoyed your Christmas win last year...yep we got embarrassed...But not as embarrassed as LeBron quitting on his team against the Chowders...

And while LeBrick was planning to take his talents to South Beach...we were still playing and got #16 Bling...

As much as I want to win on Xmas day...It's only 1 of 82 games...

So we will do our Roll Call, prayer and enjoy Christmas and our annual Christmas game...

But being back to back champs...and seasoned fans...It's not the end of the world if we lose that game...

Remember he knows who's been naughty or nice...so be good for goodness sake...

Lakers Dynasty - The Next Generation...

#17 Coming Up!!!

Hey JUSTAHATER:

LeBron beat us last Christmas too. Please remind me how last season turned out despite that Christmas Day loss?

Christmas day will be Ron Ron's greatest defensive effort to date.
I see him causing LeCreep to shoot under 40% from the field.

Pau, L.O., and Bynum will post big numbers since the MEat are oh so weak in the middle.

As for the Magic, addition by subtraction, big time!
Lewis has been underacheiving since his team lost to us in the Finals.
Vince is waaaaay beyond washed up.
Hedo fits perfectly within the Magic's system.
J Rich is an excellent roll player who can create his own shot and drain the long ball.

One big problem for this trade is the loss of Gortat. Howard is the only decnet big they have now. Hopefully, for them, he can play 44-46 minutes a night. If not, they better suddenly turn into an excellent small ball team.

In the end, this trade is futile since Boston still has the experience, talent, and coaching to beat anyone in the East.

The Meat are still a year or two away from seriously contending. They can have all of the reg season records and accolades...

We'll settle for the RINGS and our secodn THREE PEAT!

@Caliphilosopher

I am currently a Senior Environment Artist in the video game industry. The last game I worked on that shipped for XBOX360 and PSs is called Red Dead Redemption. It's done pretty well since coming out in May of this year:

http://www.rockstargames.com/reddeadredemption/videos#/video:4681

mclyne- Ron Ron is a shell of himself, the old Ron Ron maybe. this guy is SLOW, can't JUMP, can't SHOOT and still don't know what's going on out on the court. Don't bet on Thriller to save you, your TOAST.

Jon K, he expected this situation coming for he was warned many times by others. They guy enjoyed merrily with his postings as his sense anger in your posts. Try to review also what u posted against Ouchhhh and put yourself in the shoes of Ouchhhhh, how would you respond to that post? I have explained this before to 888 that for every action there is an opposite reactions and when there are too many interspersing knots in a thread, it's hard to untangle them because we don't know where to start? Who is the prime mover and the reactionary poster?

Going back to the past, we have Stephen, Tarugo, KL, Gunner how many more? You were able to blog Mike T and roll with his punches or keep up with DFish and this Erick of somewhere...you mean tell me that u just met an Ouchhhh at this time. I think Jon K we have been in there together in the past, he is just like one of your customers in the bar they come and go as they please but Jon K will be there to absorb their drunken stories.

Edwin

Too many of your posts involve lecturing others of how to conduct themselves in here. Just like you don't like it when I stand up to the Half-Empty Club, I don't like it that you try to dictate what is proper behavior and what is not. I will continue to counterpunch when I believe it's appropriate, whether or not it bothers you or others. I refuse to let REAL fans like LakerTom or CCX (just 2 examples) left out on an island against unwarranted, unprovoked attacks. Also, the repetitive trashing of Bynum, Fish, Luke, etc. is also ripe grounds for rebuttal, sometimes even excessive force short of name calling. I don't care whether or not people can't figure out who "started it." I'll take my chances of being the guy who committed the second foul when I think it's appropriate. From now on, please exclude me as your example. I honestly don't think you get me.

utzworld - THE BANNER HOLDER - My man I'm just talking about the Christmas Day game, Lakers are to tough beat in a seven game series, no doubt. But will see, Celtic's looking GOOD.

GO HEAT

What is this FACEBOOK you all speak of?

To Everyone *except* KobeMVP888,

my response: I'm curious. What is the penalty for being the second foul?

btw, I hope y'all appreciate that I don't take exception to not being considered
a REAL fan. Just trying to make this place safe for everyone.

Justanothermambafan, will you hold my hand as I start to hum "kumbaya" ?

[grin]

Justanothermambafan,

re: holding my hand. It's a great way to pass the percocet....

@JUSTA HATER
We all know Ron his struggling with his offense, but we don't need his offense to win- we have done it since he's come here.

As for his defense, please re-watch the Finals from last year and take notes on how he made life EXTEMELY difficult for Puala Pierce.

Justanothermambafan,

Hobbit -

Pretty hilarious! :-)

BTW - are your "issues" (as I believe you have referred to them) any better? I am curious, due to the fact that I think you said there were some hindrances on your ability to perform escrima (if "perform is the correct word).

LRob - been under the weather (something hit last night, then left my head feeling like a bass drum after John Bonham's been playing triplets on it all day), so not a lot of posting, but here's my musical selections for that:

As for Xmas Day, I'm kinda like the Lakers: "What? Do we HAVE to do this again this year?" I care more about the team gelling and everyone staying healthy. I do think the bench will come up big.

KobeMVP888,

Lecturing is one thing and suggestions for peaceful coexistence is another thing. This blog is for all not only lakerholic fans. You are a lawyer and you could distinguish a public figure and private individuals, therefore if someone have some issues against Luke, Drew, Fish etc that is their prerogative to raise it without any sense of guilt that they are afraid to express in a blog, they might violate your rules or the lakerholic policy. You're also guilty in being aggressive and personalizing in your debates against ouchhhh, kblitz, yelloriver, hobbit, lakertruth, 131, and others who are trying to raise a point against a Laker player. Why is there belligerence in communicating with these bloggers? Is it because you don't like their opinion? It is give and take world. Well, my point is attack their message not the messenger. Is there anything wrong in suggesting harmonious relationship? Can we all be friends in the blog not necessarily combatants

Another thing, is there such thing a Half Empty Glass or Half Full Glass as my friend LakerTom loves to raise? Do you really believe that a person of such label really exist? Or you can be both on different situations.

Hey, this is just a game, a basketball game, it is not the beginning and end of all thing. Take a chill we are all wonderful people who love the Lakers.

@63
EXCELLENT set!!!!

back at ya with these:
