Caught in the Web: Advancing the Lakers-Nets game

December 12, 2010 |  6:45 am

Farmar_300 Wish I had time to put something more comprehensive together for you Lakerholics, but it's been a long Saturday. I am looking forward to seeing how former UCLA star and Lakers reserve Jordan Farmar responds against his former team.

Also, with the early start, will Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom bring the energy needed to battle young New Jersey big man Brook Lopez? And can Kobe Bryant and Derek Fisher snap out of their shooting doldrums?

Here are a few selections to get things started this morning.

Game advances's Andy Kamenetzky takes a look at Farmar's first game against his former team.'s Billy Witz on how the Lakers are looking to end their offensive slump.

You guys probably know this, but has a nice game-day package.

The Star-Ledger's Colin Stephenson has a feature on Farmar's post-Lakers days, which include increased playing time as well as an increase in losses.

The Riverside Press-Enterprise's David Lassen takes a look at  Derek Fisher the player and Derek Fisher the player rep.

Former L.A. Times staffer Jonathan Abrams of the N.Y. Times has a big feature on Ron Artest, the Stopper.

The NY Daily News' Mitch Lawrence discusses how the five-year plan by new Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov is off to a rocky start.

The Star-Ledger's Colin Stephenson says Nets guard Devin Harris will be a game-time decision.

Hope you enjoyed at least some of the links. I'll chat with whomever in a few hours.
