Cool...where's my glasses?

Instead of just appearing, they should put those 3 D on Laker games. 3 D means defense, defense, defense. I think that message will be louder than just wearing 3 D glasses. Currently, it is 3 S represents soft, softer and softest, that's promotions for toilet paper. LMAO!

Why does Fisher almost get a free pass. 3 of 21 in his last 3 games, that is below PATHETIC !!!!!!!!!!!!!

ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!

@Magia32 – I listen to almost all of the musical selections…and will watch the video also of some of them.

@MagicPhil – Funky indeed.

@Zaira – the Cornells – good throwback.

@Edwin – nice selection

@mclyne – you just amped up the “ramble” a couple of notches.

@NewMexicoLL – nice gesture to remember the Barnes family on what has to be a difficult day.

Hey all: what is going on here. One takes some time to celebrate and be "thankful" and all heck breaks loose.

Seriously, stats are fine but they are stats. In them, one can always find something good as well as the opposite - for example Hollinger.

Any search engine can be very informative as well. And it's great we can find out who does what for any worthwhile charity. But do we really have to fight over it? I agreed with Rick F. that it would have been nice to see AB17 out doing something in public with his other teamates. But 5 days later - do we still have to argue over it to the extent we are? Come on folks.

Let's fight over real injustice - like the 1976 Summer Olympics, USA women's swim team. If you don't know about it, google search that one. You can't even find a video anywhere of the 4x100m freestyle relay which is probably one of the top 10 greatest US Olympic history moments.

Oh right, this is a Lakers blog!

Cheers - PLG

Fisher gets no pass from me, but at the same time, I can't do anything about him starting. So I just roll with the punches, or should I say my wiener dog Leebo, rolls with the punches.

@Mamba
please add me to the Barnes' Bus

We will keep you and your family in our prayers this week, Matt.

Compaining that Fish is still starting and playing a lot of minutes is like complaining that the sky is blue in Southern Cali for 330 out of 365 days a year. It's just not going to change very often, or anytime soon.

BTW - you might want to check your dates and sources for Matt Barnes' Mom's death - think it happened when he was with Warriors........

People are afraid to let go of things. It's like the guy down the street with the old Volvo. He bought it for its reliability and despite the fact that it is older and broken down, he still remembers it for what it used to be. On the rare times it starts right up when he turns the key, he thinks back to the past and says to himself "see, it's still got it" while the neighbors just shake their heads and worry about how a clunker in their neighbor's driveway affects their home value.

Too bad they appear as 2D cardboard cut-outs in games lately...

maybe it's time for pau and lamar - the whole team for that matter - to put the extracurricular activities on hold. we hear a lot of complaining about minutes. perhaps a little more responsible rest is in order. yeah, i know. i hear that they have the L.A. lifestyle being treated like movie stars and rock stars but these guys are atheletes. that means they have to diet, work out, rest, play games and get more rest. that's why they get the big bucks so they don't have to worry about money while they're living the athlete's lifestye! they are paid to stay in shape and the majority of it entails getting adequate rest. you will have all the time to play, party and do irresponsible things after you retire from a relatively short career - say 10-15 years. it's not like you have to put in a min of 20-25 years to collect a pension or something. ah, whatever.

Hey everyone,

How's it going? Before the Indy game, Mark passed along the kind congrats and words from several readers in regards to my recent post about my wife and I expecting our first child -- a daughter destined to be a Lakers fan! I just wanted to take a quick moment and say thank you. It's obviously a very exciting time in our lives and it means a lot knowing others are excited for us.

Again, just wanted to express my gratitude. Hope everyone is well and enjoying this season (the four losses aside).

AK

@frmkt
I totally agree! These guys feel like they can sleepwalk through the regular season and turn it on when the playoffs come.

What about having respect for the game? What about having respect for the fans? What about having repsect for themselves?

True, it won't change. But that doesn't mean it shouldn't.

mclyne,

I agree, but basically they've been able to do that the last three seasons and that's the name of that tune.

hobbit - I try to always be honest and also to 'fess up to my errors, blunders & mistakes. I really think this whole Bynum thing is a non-issue though. Some people believe what they heard the first time around. Others believe the 2nd. Add in PJ's spinning Zen mind games, and I really feel like none of us can really know the true story. All we can do is wait and see what happens, hope for the best and have patience. Really - what else can we do when the only alternative seems to be ripping each other's throats out? That said, I hope the kid comes back healthier than ever and strikes fear into the hearts of every single team out there. I'm sure we can all agree to that!

Andrew Kamentzky in da house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Barnes story is way old, too:

'Toine Walker is making a come back bid...anyone want to see Antione Walker in a purple and gold uni?

@JAMF - The power has shifted back to your delicate hands, lady, USE IT WISELY. Also, sanity is a commodity that can be derailed by passion.

This cannot be said enough. Derek Fisher is the heart and soul of this Laker team. Derek Fisher does get a free pass to have a bad game or two because we all know what he does when it's clutch time. Derek Fisher has balls of steel, he's the toughest Laker mentally and physically, he's the strongest PG in the league. Nobody can say a damn thing to Fisher because he's an assassin on the basketball court.

I give Derek Fisher a free pass. He's earned his role as the starter a hundred times over. Steve Blake has done nothing to deserve starting over Fish. If Phil Jackson were to start Blake over Fisher, real basketball heads would have fits. In fact, I think Phil Jackson would rather quit than start Blake over Fisher. I sure would be one dissappointed Lakerfan if that were to happen.

Derek Fisher is a great basketball player and a Laker legend. He's still got plenty in the tank. He gets a free pass from me because he's cold as ice when it comes down to it. We know who will be there in the end, Mr. Dependable Derek Fisher.

Go Lakers!

Justa- I'm sorry to hear that you have made some "errors, blunders & mistakes." I personally can't relate, but it sounds frustrating. :)

We will make it through these dark times, but we have a long way to go:

M Geezy - wuttup! Nice to see you.

And no - I don't make errors, blunders OR mistakes. I was merely pointing to a hypothetical situation in order to make my point LOL!

I thought I told you: I thought I was wrong once, but I was wrong....

Jamie - my sanity isn't going anywhere. It left a long time ago, but I think it really likes where it's at now.

@Mamba24 - Please add me to the Barnes bandwagon. That is tragic news...Tattoo has grown on me...and I think he is a great fit with this team.

@yellowfever - nice to see you being the voice of reason...

@hobbit - I get it...you are really hung up on the South Africa vacation...I don't think it's a big deal...no need to having everyone on the Blog agreeing on this issue...we have our own opinions...you have made yours very clear...nothing wrong with that...

As far as our team...yeah we lost 2 in a row...wasn't the first time this season, won't be the last...No need to stress till the end of the season, and playoffs...

MY GOD!! This man is a Saint!!!! To willingly giive up the power without a coup!!! Bless you Jamie Sweet!! They will write ballads about you in the days to come!! This is just so touching!!! *sniff* *sniff*

But then it's easy to say this considering that...I, yes I mamba24 now have the power! And I aint giving it up! NO, No, NO! What you gonna do Mamba24? What you gonna do....THE DECISION...TO BE CONTINUED!!!!

FWIW: The BANDWAGON started for Matt Barnes' mom had most of us thinking that she had passed away a day or so ago. Regardless, my prayer still stands. I'm sure MB appreciates the fact that Laker Nation is still holding him up in prayer & well wishes. Losing a parent is rough. Many of us (myself included) can testify.

LEWSTRS,

I only listened to the first 2, but I'm going to guess Platoon?

Hello peeps...hope everyone had a wonderful thankgiving holiday!!!

@Manong Edwin - ITA with you...Defense, defense, defense...they've got to do a much better job defensively...maybe Gasol's minutes is catching up on him -he looks tired to me...I hope we get Bynum back soon (3wks?) I'm sure Gasol could use some rest...

KB was awesome last night...imagine him 100% healthy - I hope he'll get enough rest each game coz come playoff we need him to be 100% and the same goes for Bynum...

frmkt - I think Pau and Lamar had filmed this commercial well before the whole fatigue thing became an issue. Probably at the beginning of training camp. Can't really blame them for that

I'm really sorry if I misled any body about Matt Barnes Mother. I just read In Kevin Ding's column in the OC Reg. and Matt Barnes twittered that he lost his mom to cancer 3 yrs ago and he was remembering her, and all the other people who have lost someone to cancer. That's what I originally wrote and just sent a shout out that I was thinking of him. Again I'm sorry about!!!!!!But I'm still thinking of him.

GOD##@%$^&&!!! I wish you people would stop Blaming Del Harris for your problems!!! It's time you took responsibility!! This poor man has been blamed for the conflict in the middle east, The Mortage Crash, Bears and Stearns Collaspe, The greed of Bernie Madoff and it is just not fair. Now stop it! Sure he may have caused The mortage crash and Bears and sterns collaspe. But the rest of that stuff nawwwwwwww!

Again I'm sorry about!!!!!!But I'm still thinking of him. Posted by: NewMexicoLL | November 29, 2010 at 03:09 PM

My dear sorry for what? You have nothing to be sorry for! The fault is mine all mine and I take full responsibility for it. So...Once again folks Mamba24 has screwed up. And once again I offer an apology for this. Sincerely humbly and deeply I apologize for any hurt that may have been caused by this!

@Mamba and DBDH

I heard that Del Harris passed away this weekend. Oh wait, sorry, it was Leslie Nielson. I always get the two mixed up.

On a serious note, Leslie will be missed. I will always remember his excellent performances in "Airplane" and the Naked Gun films.

Congratulations AK for your first child. It was only yesterday when you were dating your wife who was a Rockets fan and you were asking the blog how would you watch the playoff with the Lakers? Very soon, you will be blessed by your first born which will give you sleepless night but worth it. You are now a bona fide DAD learn how to prepare milk with one hand and change diapers while blogging with BSPN. lol!
