Chat: Lakers vs. Raptors
Lakers Coach Phil Jackson on Toronto Raptors
--Highlights from Phil Jackson's pre-game press conference (in the audio file above)
--Jackson says Lakers forward Luke Walton will dress for tonight's game, but he said he doesn't know how many minutes he'll play. Jackson had originally said he needed a "hard practice" from Walton, but he said "they ran hard yesterday and I was satisfied he was okay when he came into work today."
---Jackson says Chris Bosh's departure to Miami leaves the Raptors "trying to establish an inside game." He expects center Andrea Bargnani to be Toronto's main scorer. Jackson says either Pau Gasol or Lamar Odom will match up with him depending on how the game goes.
--Jackson on the importance that starters get rest against sub-500 teams: "If a player has to extend himself in a game, it will affect them at a later date. Hopefully you can recover at some point at a subsequent time."
--Jackson gave the starters and Lakers forward Matt Barnes off Thursday because they all played more than 24 minutes in the team's 112-110 win Wednesday over Sacramento.

Mr. Odom has lost his free throw form. Last year he had developed a step-back just before taking the shot. Someone needs to remind him that it worked.
