Been kinda busy sorry. and yeah bad mistake on my part not to start Batum though Batum was a question mark on production since he was more or less more of a 3 point threat and 3 point specialists are a double edged sword because 3 point makes is definately worth it in points though misses hurt more than a regular miss.
Oh well I've made some bad decisions also in football (letting Mike Wallace go) but then again I'm 7-0 in football lol.
Mamba24- Late night, early morning it just doesn't matter. Man how do you think of THIS? A TRUE LAKERHOLIC, I know I can't top THAT, Off The Hook Again .
Nice win!
I'm at my gf's place, and i was up until 3am to know what was the final score. And now i'm going to work a little late -8 am- but that win is worth the price being paid. I don't know if i'll be able to produce anything today, but who cares!!

Successful first practice game considering how difficult it must have been for the players to focus after that emotional ring ceremony. Thank you sir! Yes sir! Lol!
Despite Kobe's hops and careful stretch, he managed to sneak in 22 pts and 7 assts. It was the BBB that saved the game, of course it refers to the bread and butter breakfast of Odom, Gasol and Artest, this time it is a different flavor of BBB (Brown, Blake and Barnes) it is bed & breakfast plus bagels in the 2nd unit. We are just warming up on the first game, don't we appreciate the winds of change in this season. I don't think the old guards: Farmar, Morrison and Powell could duplicate that feat. Our Lakers today is like an old car with new souped up engine, it is on a break in process and it would take a while before it could resume the competitive speed. Some players are still on Triangle 101 and get nervous when they've the ball; others are nursing injuries and on rehab state with alert mind but flesh is not willing to cooperate; and others are run by diesel fuel and it takes time to warm up. Because of their known longevity and reliability in a long season, they'll manage to manufacture W's out from a gutter and a glitzy game. It will take some more time before they could take their new remodeled car to Indianapolis 500.
Last night for the first time ever I was pulling for the C's but the experience was so repulsive that it will never be repeated. Uggghhhh, frickin Pierce and his mock-heroics. On to the better cause, the Lakers were fun to watch with the first or the second units, a huge difference from last year. Mamba24 how about a bandwagon for Downtown Shannon Brown. I know that Fred Brown owns the original moniker so this would be both a nod to Freddy's historic role for the Sonics and acknowledgement of Shannon's promise as a spark off the bench.

Well, JB was transfixed by the moment of joy and emotions, he didn't even say a word. However, Jeanie should have approached her aging Dad and did the hugging. Her position as an EVP doesn't count much when it comes to a recognition night of a proud Dad and the best owner of a franchise.
Goooood Morning Lakerland! I see our Mamba24 is up and raring to go too!
Great win last night. I love our new team with Blake, Barnes, Ratliff, and Character got some run!
Regarding yesterdays' Celtic/Heat game, I found myself in the odd position of rooting for the Celtics. DAMN, how does that happen!!?? I feel dirty.....LOL.
I see that yesterday one of our Blog heros Lewsters had the bus working at full tilt. I was listed on there as "The Justa Smooch Winner". LMAO! I wonder if that was referring to the 1000 post day when Mamba24 was working overtime to get us accross that magic 1000 post line. We all WANTED the honor of the virtual Justa smooch, but I think it may have been LROB that actually won it? I'm not sure. I will tell you though that if I were the winner, I would have remembered!
Have a great day Lakerland. I hope you all enjoy our year long coronation as we work our way through the NBA toward our inevitable crowning next June.

(09) LONGTIMELAKERFAN - THE ATTACK OF THE KILLER B'S !!!!!!!!! Blake, Barnes, and Brown set `em up and knocked `em down
(10) TOM DANIELS - And Brown stepped way up. Brown's improved outside shooting is a huge plus and will really affect Sasha's minutes. Next Shannon has to work on making plays in the open floor.
(11) BENJAMIN - Great stuff. Shannon looks like 08-09 again. It was the thumb people, the thumb. Very glad we kept him.
(12) ALAM007 - loved the effort from the bench tonight, especially the way Shannon played. He showed me he's not content with being a throw-in in that '09 trade. He definitely worked on his game this summer, and I hope he can keep up a similar effort throughout the entire season.
(13) LAKER TRUTH - Shannon Brown will be this year's version of Trevor Ariza.
(14) DWNTWNATTY - Shannon's shot release looks soooo improved. If he maintains his form, he could be one of our key assets this year.

Good morning to you Mamba! I am wonderful this morning. I must admit, that ring ceremony was really moving. It brought a tear to my eye, it was that special. I liked that each Team member introduced the next player. Bynum said some very nice things about Pau, Sasha said some nice things about Shannon, and so on. Artest, that guy just makes me smile. Then the moment that the banner was unfurled...fuggetaboutit.
Regarding the Shannon Brown bandwagon, please add me to the believers! I liked what I saw last night.

Whoowee here we go!

Trollman,
Well, JB was transfixed by the moment of joy and emotions, he didn't even say a word.

(07) PURPLE HEART - Shannon & Stevie were co-mvp's for the nite.
(08) EDWIN GUECO

Thanks Mamba! I couldn't get to it before it was removed from the site. But while following your link, I found this:

I put it here in case someone else wants to watch the ring ceremony.
It was a great win. 1 down, 64 to go. I figure we need to win around 65 games to get HCA throughout. Let's hope we can do it with everyone healthy after game 82.
