LEW
Congrats! You and I were schooled well on the concept of HEALTH by a blogger who I miss dearly. It is ALWAYS the first important factor to any shot at a championship.

LEWSTRS: Outstanding RCOTD, I wholeheartedly agree that the only thing that could derail this threepeat is injuries. For once, I would love Drew to stay healthy throughout the year/postseason - we will need him to exploit the meats weakness.

MM: This is hands-down the best blog I've been on, sports or non-sports. The amount of hard work that you put into it shows, and I know I speak for everyone when I say THANK YOU for all you do for us Laker fans!!!!

"I was just taking the opportunity to compliment Blitz for a statement that I thought was worth reposting. As many times as Blitz and I have gotten into it, I respect that he has never become obscene or profane and has always spoken up when others, even his sometime allies, have responded thusly.

======
I agree wholeheartedly that in a vacuum it was a post worth re-posting. It was the context in which it was posted that obviated the necessity of posting it at all. Calling out a public figure and voicing my opinion about him as a human being is entirely different than attacking someone in here with name calling. Sure, I could just say that Michael Jordan is arrogant, but that doesn't quite describe my feelings toward him both now and when he was a player. So I chose a well known and understood term that fell short of a profanity, yet drove home my point. While I was as in awe of him on the basketball court, I did not put him on a pedestal like most of the rest of the world did given his filandering, gambling habits and otherwise smug, holier than thou attitude that got a pass from everyone. It's funny, but while Kobe can act, sound and play "Just Like Mike," he doesn't get the same pass. Perhaps that bugs me a little bit. But I digress...
The point is that KB Blitz took a harmless comment that I made that wasn't a personal attack on him or even directed AT him and fooled even YOU into going along with his premise. Yes, in a vacuum I agree that bloggers shouldn't call each other names and use profanities on a public blog, but I did neither, so his post was entirely misplaced.

Oh, and I can't wait for tonight's game. Utah will be a nice yardstick for our team defense.

@888… My apologies. I did think you said that KB BLITZ was a horse’s ass, which of course he isn’t. Since you were referring to MJ, who is a horse’s ass, I agree 100%. And the 100 pt and Kobe top 10 comments were classless coming from a player of his stature, who would never have done as well as he did without the help of the refs and the Jordan Rules.
