Snake that is fantastic!!! Thank you brother!!!!

Yeah!!!
Now I can really get PSYCHED!

Cheers all! PLG

Wes,

Very sorry for the loss of your friend. God Bless you and yours and your friends family.

Feb has 9 away games, 7 of which are consecutive... gadzooks. Is that the Grammy Trip?

DBDH!

As of Now I will no longer refer to LeBron James as Princess Jimmy. Carry On!

east coast road trip is gonna be tuff .

looking foward to this season...Lakers all day

Wes,

For some moments in life there are no words. ~David Seltzer

Most of our road games will be in December and Feb. Kinda a nice break after having Feb and March as having long road games.

This also plays to an advantage to LA. Having a healthier team (because playing early rather than later when the toll of the season is more apperant) on the road and having the benefit of playing at home in the latter part of the season is good especially when the players are getting hit by the long NBA season and will enjoy more the confines of home. It's better off getting as much road games as early as possible to help with getting as good of an NBA record as we can get.

First is to gain home court advantage overall. If can secure that we can rest more of our players (however if the are healthy they will play just not as much considering they want to play unless injured).

Failing that then 2nd best overall record or at least Home Court Advantage in the WC. Home Court is a big advantage as was proved in 2010 Finals. Having said that the Lakers will need to win on the road regardless.

During the losses (like if any team can go 82-0 lol), prepare to see the Stanlies and the bandwagoners come and tell this team is doomed. It's only natural to have the masters of panic come out.

Every year you can chalk up a few losses to "schedule loses". Here's a look at some that could happen:

Dec 1-Houston 3 games in 4 nights/road
Dec 10-Chicago 3/4 nights/road
Dec 17-Philly 6 game of 7 road trip
Jan 5-Phoenix 3/4 nights/road
Jan 19-Dallas road game sandwiched btw OKC and Denver
Feb 13-Orlando 3/4 nights/road
Feb 14-Charlotte 4/5 nights...IT'S CHARLOTTE
Feb 23-Portland 2nd of back to back on road
Feb 27-OKC Road - payback from playoffs
Mar 10-Miami Road 3rd straight road...crazy hyped game
Mar 12-Dallas- 4th straight road...dog days of reg season
Mar 14-Orlando-first game back home after 6 of 7 on road
Apr 1-Utah-2nd of back to back/road

I'm predicting 8 or 9 of our losses will come from these games. But hey that would still give us a 73-9.

A gold and purple uniform will go up in the rafters of Staples Center tonight and we should all salute the honoree. Lisa Leslie's #9 Sparks uniform will be retired during halftime of tonight's game with Indiana.

http://es.pn/97FwwQ

Lisa has trained with my son, Adam, for years and has been one of his most fabulous friends and supporters. Lisa is an Olympic Gold Medal winner, three-time league MVP, and 2-time WNBA Finals MVP.

We don't pay attention to the Sparks here much, if ever, but Lisa is an outstanding champion and representative of Los Angeles.

WESJOENIXON - SORRY FOR THE LOSS OF YOUR BEST FRIEND OF 25 YEARS – BANDWAGON
To: CHUCK HEART, RIP BROTHER. (I don't know what this video is about, but the song is great): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YhmQTROY59M
*_________________________________________________________________________*
(01) LROB - Sorry to hear about your loss. Sympathy and prayers to and the family of your friend.
(02) MAMBA24 - Wes my brother, my prayers are with you and the Family of your Best Friend.
Stay strong my Brother & may God be with all of you .
(03) JUSTANOTHERMAMBAFAN - Wes - so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you.
(04) #4 -
(05) NEWMEXICOLAKERLIFER -
(06) LONGTIMELAKERLOVER - So sorry for your loss, Wes. I haven't lost a best friend, but I've lost a parent. When you lose someone so close to you it's a deep, heart wrenching loss. May you be filled with peace as you remember all the good times you had together. Missing them is part of the package and grief wells up at the weirdest times, but you will get through it. God bless you and I pray He binds up your heart and holds it close.
(07) EDWIN GUECO – Will say a prayer for your friend's soul Le WES.
(08) LAKERTOM – Condolences. One of life’s downsides is losing friends as you get older.
(09) HALOSANT – In most cases a best friend is considered closer than even a sibling, because you tend to be more open with them, sharing moments, secrets, desires & certain experiences that you hardly ever share with your own family members. So to lose one can be especially devestating. I can only imagine the feelings that you must be going through, and can only offer my deepest sympathy and condolences to you and your friend's family. You definitely have been blessed to have someone that you considered a "best" friend for such a long time and remembering all the shared moments and whatever bond you held should help you get though this. Be Strong and know that here you will always have friends.
(10) POINT FORWARD – Sorry to hear of your loss Wes.
(11) LEWSTRS - Wes - my condolences for your loss...his memory will live on...
(12) JOHNNYV - @Wes, Sorry about the loss of your friend. I lost a close friend 3 years ago and it floored me. He was like a big brother/mentor, best friend all rolled up in one.
At his funeral, I found out that there were a number of people that felt that same way about him. You could literally feel the "Gaze of the King" when speaking to him. I miss him terribly.
I feel for you Wes, glad to hear you had a treasured friend. As much as it hurts to lose them, it is what we must endure when we love.
(13) NOAH - Wes.. so sorry man. When my bf Dave Halley died, we played this a lot...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UyEvsH4_ySU
(14) DON’T BLAME DELL HARRIS - Wes - Carry on, bro. 25 years is a long time. Some of us don't even get 25 years of our own life, let alone a true friendship like the one you guys shared. Much respect...
(15) RICK FRIEDMAN - Good morning Wes, Sorry for the loss of your friend Chuck. Stay strong.
(16) MAGIC PHIL - I'm sorry to hear that wes lost his friend. Condolences, bro.

(18)LAKER LASS -
(19) JON K - I'm sorry about your friend. This must be a difficult time for you. It sucks that you have to go through this.
(20) L.M. - My condolences to Wes. sorry to hear such bad news.
(21) FATTY -
(22) utzworld THE ONCE AND FUTURE BANNER HOLDER 0-
(23) ART-FL LAKERS FAN - Wes,For some moments in life there are no words. ~David Seltzer
(24) EASTCOASTJESSIE -
(25) D(EREK) J(ETER) - Wes, Very sorry for the loss of your friend. God Bless you and yours and your friends family.

It is more balanced schedule regarding home and road games than last season.. there will be 27 home and 30 away games before the All Star break, then 14 home and 11 road games after. The Lakers had way more home games in the beginning of season that many games were almost lame. I like this year's schedule much better than last season. Go Lakers!!!

Wes: May the God of all comfort wrap His loving arms around you & the family of your dearly departed friend. May you allow the Lord Jesus to take you fully into the grief process. Cry every tear. Feel every ounce of pain and anguish. And when God's angels come to restore you, may you be left with loving memories of the friendship that you had. God bless you, brother.

Rick Friedman,

Nice of you to bring up Lisa Leslie. It's also nice to know that she's a class act. That kind of information always makes me happy.

What do we play for? RINGS!!!

Lakers Today... Lakers Tomorrow... Lakers Forever.

GO LAKERS!!!

Wes, So sorry about your friend, you will always have the memories. Mamba24.. Hope your having a great day and thanks for putting me on the Bandwagon's!!They are always nice to get ya going in the morning.

I think Lisa Leslie is also the first woman ever to dunk in an official match, didn't she? and one of the first womans to play on WNBA.

She deserves that.

Autoresponse:

Leslie, a 6'5" center, is the first player to dunk in a WNBA game. She was considered a pioneer and cornerstone of the league during her WNBA career.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lisa_Leslie

Liking the schedule...

Congrats to Lisa Leslie!!!

Wes:

All of us on this blog understand that our words of comfort here compare weakly to the grief you are experiencing. But do know that collectively, we this blog community in which you hold a special place salutes the life of your dear friend and extends our hearts and prayers to you, family and friends. May the God of all comfort console your heart at this time.

Mike

LeBron has obviously gone completely insane and I will not speak ill of the
mentally ill. Now should the miracles of modern medicine return him to the
just nasty, uncouth individual he use to be, he will again become Princess Jimmy.

Mamba24,

"LeBron has obviously gone completely insane"

Why just because he doesn't tip and he paid a rabbi who can't speak English somewhere before $100,000 and $999,999 to sit next to him in a meeting on a yacht?

Just because of that?

Huh?

Well?

What do we play for? RINGS!!!
