Lakers fans expressed hope for Steve Blake during season finale against Clippers
Steve Blake picked a good game to drop his first career triple double. As the Lakers plodded through their regular-season finale, the Clippers ended a disappointing season with a double-digit victory over the Lakers. As everyone on the Lakers appeared more consumed with resting up and remaining healthy for the playoffs (sorry Sasha Vujacic), Blake put on a show that surely helped cement this off-season a four-year, $16-million deal with the Lakers.
The Lakers will introduce Blake Wednesday in a news conference where he'll offer answers to what he should provide as a backup guard for the defending champs. But readers of the Lakers blog had already imagined this scenario panning out as Blake finished with 23 points on eight-for-12 shooting, 11 assists and 10 rebounds against the Lakers.
