Shaq to Celtics, Fisher to Lakers, I'll take the bigger heart with character.

@Mari. G., Take a look at my face book page and tell me what you think.

Is Fisher waiting for Lebron to sign so he can join him?
Posted by: Staples 24 | July 06, 2010 at 02:21 PM
Shaw already isn't getting his number retired in LA as long as the Buss family owns the team.
You can't call out the old man the way Shaq did (Pay me! [for being fat and lazy]), and expected to get rewarded by the greatest franchise in sports.
In fact, the way he's burned bridges everywhere he's been, he'd be lucky to get his Jersey retired at all.
Posted by: htj | July 06, 2010 at 02:26 PM
Not Shaw, shaq. Sorry Brian. You may get your Jersey retired as a coach here someday.
Posted by: htj | July 06, 2010 at 02:27 PM
Shaq? Jersey retired?
LMAO!!!! HAHAHAHAAAAA...

Do a sign and trade for Bosh, The whole bench
Posted by: willis | July 06, 2010 at 03:35 PM
Shaq's number?
They're going to print it on those little plastic thingeys with all the holes in them that they use in the urninals to keep them from getting plugged up.

If you want to get a grip on how irrelevant Shaq really is ... look at the commercials he gets hired to do. Like 'national major coporations!'
Yeah, right.
Maybe the could remake some of those Hertz commercials with OJ running through the terminals and use Shaq setting picks of suitcases.

NASH !! Lakers should go out and get Steve Nash who has 2 years left on his contract.
Posted by: Carlos | July 06, 2010 at 03:53 PM
Nash would be a great idea, just not sure how to work that trade. I would think that they would want to get younger and I don't see what we could give them. Perhaps Farmar and Sasha and Brown? Suggestions anyone?
Posted by: D(erek)J(eter) | July 06, 2010 at 03:57 PM
can anyone say tmac for 2 mil???
lol kupchuk got Ebanks in case luke waltons back contines?
ummm how about a better forward such as TMAC???
WOOT BRING FISH BACK BABYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted by: LAL818 | July 06, 2010 at 03:57 PM
Nash would never fit. Great player but he dominates the ball and dribbles in circles. Not a fit when you want Kobe and Pau as playmakers/first options.
Posted by: Tom Daniels | July 06, 2010 at 04:10 PM
Go get BOSH !!!! Trade Lamar, Walton for CB4....3peat is on the way !!!!!!
Posted by: RoN | July 06, 2010 at 04:11 PM
CELTICS LOOKING TO SIGN KWAME BROWN...
ROFLMAO. That would be perfect. Rondo can bounce balls off Kwame’s face all year long

Its official Bosh in a S & T to Miami
Posted by: Fatty | July 06, 2010 at 04:14 PM
Here's a crazy idea. Has anyone every thought of the possibility of Trading Pau for Bosh?
I mean think about it. Pau has never been able to do squat before he paired with Kobe. Bosh at least won some playoff games in his career. Bosh is also more athletic, younger, and puts up better numbers (granted on a team nowhere near as loaded as the Lakers). He's also never been referred to a soft. Pau seems a better fit for the triangle, but I never bought into that "better for the triangle" crap. If you're a baller, you're a baller regardless of the offense.
So how's that for a starting lineup: Kobe, PG by Committee, Bosh, Bynum, Artest.
I'm not in favor of it personally. I love what Pau brings, but I don't think he was a legit all-star this year in the first half of the season. He just got voted in by the apparent, "2nd best player on the team with the best record automatically gets an all-star bid," but it was a close call. Bosh was legit all around.
So do you do it? Pau for Bosh, straight up. I think Toronto might not wanna take on that kind of long term commitment in any case, but I think it's been mentioned in close quarters deep inside staples center as a what-if-scenario already.
I vote to not screw up chemistry for a long-term plan. The future is now for the Lakers so I don't seem them screwing up their core. Any deal involving taking luke off our hands, even if it includes Andrew, I say do it.

LTF:
Just curious here, I think I finally figured out why Kobe shoots before he passes, isn't his position a shooting guard, new to NBA here..
Curious here, you think with LBJ Lakers could win 8 titles all back to back, his team in Cleveland is not that good compared to Lakers
Posted by: CURIOUS GEORGE | July 06, 2010 at 04:23 PM
Raja Bell.
That is all.
DBDH!

Flaws and all, Pau is better than Bosh and Pau could still get better.
Any Kurt Thomas sightings?

Pau for Bosh nevha, Pau has much higher IQ, great passer, a great team player, a proven winner, can play 4&5 spots, adds an international flavor and a much better player than Bosh, no ifs ands butts.
What has Bosh done, beside make home video begging to be included in the all star game. So he should make another home video and beg Pau for a replica of the ring for posterity.
As bugs would say, what a marooon you are BOSH SMOSH

>>>Curious here, you think with LBJ Lakers could win 8 titles all back to back,

The only way LBJ could win 8 titles with the Lakers
would be if Kobe stayed.

Lakers definitely need an above 45% 3 pt. shooter that is a microwave off the bench not a charcoal stove! Mike Miller fits the bill if a trade can be made for him. Fish needs to be back as well and the bench needs a backup for Bynum. Mbenga/ Camby/Mcdyss would be decent options. To get Fish back we need PJ, MJ, MK, JB to find ways to cover the luxury tax with some kind of deferred compensation/player coach type alternative. If Miller can be obtained the need for a younger player on the bench is met with the draft pick-ups.
Substitute Kobe for LBJ(one for one & no other changes) and Cavs win title with all the shooters and defenders that James had!
Posted by: ross | July 06, 2010 at 06:20 PM
with farmar going and maybe shannon dont the lakers have more than 1.8$mil left in their MLE? new to this, but LEWSTRS do you have one more spot on the fishwagon?
Posted by: paulaker | July 07, 2010 at 03:07 AM
The Lakers need to improve at the point-guard position and the addition of Steve Blake is a good move. Now the focus is at the 2 spot to spell Kobe on the offensive and defensive-end. Raja Bell might be a better fit than TMac of AI. Bell can hit open shots plus he's a great defender. Having Kobe, Raja, and Ron (Blake also plays good defense) on the floor at the same time would give the Lakers the best perimiter defense in the league. Derek Fisher (De) has to stay he's a key member to the 6-core Laker players and their signature nickname "Ko P. DeLA-Ron". Here's the signature name breakdown:
Ko-Kobe
P.-Pau
De-Derek
L-Lamar
A-Andrew
Ron-Ron
(LA also is for Los Angeles)
