It took every Laker player, coach and FAN to get us through that slug fest.
Can't wait to do it again.
Love to all Blog Bros

Ron was the MVP of Game 7, no doubt. It was nice to see him win a Ring. I don't remember seeing them this emotional after winning a title, Pau was crying and hugging Drew, Ron jumping around, even Kobe seemed really choked up. Tough series.

Champions again!!! Celtics were tough, which makes this title the sweetest of all!!!
Now I want to say to all the Laker haters on this blog to shut up for a year. I'm speaking to:
DFish
Eric "Sleazy E" Wright
Mike Pansiente Teniente(wrong again and as usual)
Gunner(Don't make cameos on this blog anymore because you are irrelevant)
Nothing these guys say means anything on this blog and they're full of crap. That's all that kept running out of their mouths. Collectively and individually, you suck!!!
Props to all the true Lakers fans around the world!!! Purple and Gold forever!!!

Rag dolls don't grab 18 rebounds in a game like that. I thought that the refs let the game get completely out of hand in the first half. They didn't call any fouls. It was disgraceful.

The Lakers withstood a tremendous effort by the Celtics. They found a way to win. Props to each and every Laker. Ron was off the chain!!! Gasol was the hammer and not the nail. LO with some great moments and some tough board work. Sasha with 2 big free throws. Fish in the clutch after returning from injury. No wheelchair needed!!! Our All-World shooting guard with FIFTEEN REBOUNDS!!!
A great team effort. They overcame nerves, anxiety, history and the clutching, grabbing desparation of the Green slime.
Thank you, Los Angeles Lakers!!
In 1985 when the Lakers celebrated their championship in Boston Garden (the original hellhole) I thought that any future Laker victory in the Finals could never match that day.
I was wrong. This one is the SWEETEST of all!!
SWEET SIXTEEEEEEEN!!!!!!

The Priest believes in redemption and is soooo happy for Ron Ron who saved us tonight when Kobe et al were struggling. Because after each bad game people would say we should have kept Ariza. Ariza is a good player but Ron Ron played great defense on Pierce for 6 games. Ron Ron you are indeed a Laker and a 2010 world champion. Plus you are a hero in Laker lore for the put back layup against the Suns and your play offensively wise in game 6 and 7. Kobe congrats but I felt you struggled because you had everything bottled up inside and I know your stomach was in knots. If you did let out a primal scream to release those butterflies you would have played relaxed. But you found a way to win by hitting the fts, 15 rebounds and attacking the rim. Gastrong 18 rebounds is outstanding. Fisher you came through again. The 2010 world champs.

I thought that any future Laker victory in the Finals could never match that day.
I was wrong. This one is the SWEETEST of all!!
--- bronxlakerfan
First off, congrats b-l-f.
I'd be the first to say last night immediately becomes one of the Greatest Laker Wins Ever. Probably even the Second Greatest of Them All.
But 25 years later, Game 6 of the 1985 NBA Finals REMAINS the Greatest Win In Laker History. It stands alone and always will.
It was won by a team that had lost its last two Finals appearances, lost again to the Boston Celtics the year before, and was obliterated in the Memorial Day Massacre 5 games prior.
Under all those banners, in the Original Garden, against 4 HOFers, the most hostile crowd in all of sports at the time, and playing against 20 years of futility, they won the title. Finally beating the Boston Celtics. Showtime's true greatness came from that one win because they went on beat those same C's 2 summers later and repeated three summers after that.
Don't get me wrong. Last night's win was historic. Momentous. In so many different ways. LA repeated as champs for the 4th time in a generation (88, 01, 02, 10). Phil wins 5 titles as Lakers' coach. Kobe wins 5. And LA draws within 1 of the Celtics in the title count. Without that win, it may have taken LA years to overcome a 15-18 deficit.
BUT, as great as it was, it will never be the greatest.

Peace--83-79 = 3 of 5....
Believe me, I appreciate the historical significance of the victory in 1985. As a lifelong Lakers fan, I had suffered through too many losses at the hands of the Celtics. And, especially coming on the heels of a bitter defeat in 1984, the win in '85 was just magnificent.
Perhaps, it's because I feel an even stronger connection to today's Lakers that I place such import on the Lakers' 16th C'ship. Nowadays, with the League Pass and the 24/7 coverage of the NBA on the internet, I can follow the Lakers on a day to day basis. This blog is another compelling source of Laker information and communication with other like-minded Lakerholics. Following the team today is a lot easier than it was for me in 1985. Back then, I was lucky to see ten or fifteen Laker games a year on TV. Now, I haven't missed a Laker telecast in quite a while.
I guess that's why I feel the way I do about last night's victory. One thing I'm sure of, though, is that the victories in 1985 and 2010 will forever be equated with the excellence of the Los Angeles Lakers.
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE LAKERS AND ALL OF THEIR FANS AND TO MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS ON THE LA TIMES LAKERSBLOG!!!

To all the great Laker fans on this site... a HUGE -- HUGE!!! -- CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
Kobe is right, this one is clearly the sweetest (of the last 5)! Love what Ron-Ron did tonight. He was masterful. His defensive performance on Pierce was nothing short of a MASTERPIECE!!!
Artest is a lovely BEAST!
And I loved his enthusiasm and disarming honesty after the win! The guy is truly an original, even if a little crazy! I love his heart greatly and I LOVE THESE LAKERS!!!
A lot of other teams would have chocked this game away to a formidable opponent, specially after falling behind by 13 effing points in the 3rd quarter, but these Lakers, god bless them, not playing at their best, rolled up their sleeves and gutted it out and took the title fair and square!
***** I LOVE THESE LAKERS *****!!!!!
I love all of them, even Adam Morrison who always seemed to be focused on the game and cheering, even though he never played.
Way to go Lakers, 2010 WORLD CHAMPIONS!
HOW SWEET!!!!!!!
And, oh, yeah... BOSTON (and all their retarded fans) SUCK!!!!
As we celebrate, all Boston players and fans... GO CRY YOUR NASTY SELVES TO SLEEP!
Hahahahaha!
And, oh, yeah... Boston (and all their retarded fans) SUCK!!!!

Ragdoll ... WTH????
Well I'm not Spanish and I love Kobe but I feel that Pau should have received the MVP award. Solid throughout the playoffs save game 5. Took a real beating all 7 games and didn't complain just did what had to be done. Took over the 4th quarter and carried the team until Kobe got it together.
Kudos to the entire Laker team for coming thru when times were tough.
Ron Ron ... great
D Fish ... people need to get off him
Sasha ... great way to come thru in games 6 & 7
Laker bench great job!!!
AND RAGDOLL I LUV U :-)
I'm glad the Ragdoll came to our team.

Being a Spaniard does not means you have to like PG. But he's not a ragdoll, he's more of a classy son of a *** who gave it all in games 6 & 7. Not sure though if worth MVP but at least close to that. Probably Kobe deserves it more. All my respects to Celtics who fought to their last effort. It's been an honour to see them playing such an historical finals.
Congrats to all Lakers fans !
