>>>On paper the Lakers are the better team,

That's debatable.

Boston has 3 guaranteed 1st ballot hall of famers, and two others who might get there (Sheed and Rondo). Lakers have only one guaranteed HOF (Kobe), with a likely second (Gasol) and a possible third (Bynum).

The media keep fawning over Boston's bench being deeper and more talented than the Lakers bench, but I see that as about a draw.

If you compare the top 2 players, the Lakers are better.

If you compare the top 4 players, the Celtics are better.

If you compare the whole team, it's pretty even on paper.

Boston Bruins lost a series that the led 3-0 this year.

Tomorrow night, the Celtics will fall from their 3-2 perch to lose as well.

Sales of hard liquor and guns will be up in Boston on Friday.

Good evening (here) Blog Fam :)

I came in just to read... and before I pick up a song to underline my blessed state of mind, just let me state again that NOTHING YET HAS BEEN DONE, but EVERYTHING THAT WE ASK FOR WILL SURELY BE.

I have zero doubts (and I have zero doubts not out from Celtics discouraging odds, contrariwise, I think they are the toughest competitors for us especially in a Game 7: but I give MY GUYS, OUR GUYS, more props than them and anyone else. I'm the kind of fan who never plays others down, not because I am nice or anything... because I'm PROUD in my team actually) and I have so much zero doubts I LITERALYput my money on a win (in a form of a pair of airplane tickets).

I wanna just point out a little scene on the bench at minute 1.35 around before game was ended: after cameras showed Kevin Garnett talking on the celts bench to Rasheed Wallace (ALERT: he discovered and picked up rightly the one that can be a nightmare for us in Game 7, along an Allen back in shooting form... so NEVER let any of those two get into rolling mode Lakers. NEVER...) they moved on the Lakers bench side.

Drew, no matter his knee, was sweetly talking and being taken by a quieted Derek Fisher, with Lamar on the other side also smiling. Not one of those "too relaxed" smiles, not one of those complacent scenes that make me worry. I read in that the good vibe of a confident Drew about being there on Thursday (which will be a LOT for us. Drew has being a key in this match up, EVEN injuried).
Aside Drew, on the other side from Derek, Ron Ron was intentively LISTENING to Kobe, who stopped to watch the game with his killer focused eyes only to relate with Ron.
Why?
Because NO other better than Ron will be our Key to Figueroa.

Just like Garnett understood the pivotal crazy to be turned plus factor for the Celts,Kobe always knew Ron is ours.

I loved the way he was dedicating his time OPENLY to Ron.

Ron had a gret gae yesterday.

Celtics will again leave him free to shot (they have to leave one of our five free, it's natural, and that will be of course Ron) and Kobe was probably telling him how much will depend on his mindset on Thursday.

FIRST: DEFENSE.
SECOND: Be there in presence on BOTH sides, no dirty, but strong game always out;.
THIRD: charge and load the shooting hand.

It's massive to have Kobe backing you.

Ron will feel pressure, but if he does like this past night, we're all up and rolling.

Kobe had finally his teammates man-ning up.
I bet he was satisfied because finally they understood ALL.

But he knows the real battle has yet to start.

In his words and his gestures to explain things to Ron, I saw really the best signal that no one is satisfied.

No one is because we have got nothing to celebrate.

YET.

Game 7 is a game where Celts will have their all-in game.
They will punch hard and shoothard from start. They're not made of sand, and they're not easy to pass through.
But they will be defeated if we will do again this:

Be a TEAM (guided by the blinding light of the one and only, the incommensurable Kobe Bean);

Be the best we can in each player, no missing call up, no ghosts on the floor, only WARRIORS enarmoured of enormous skills, which we are;

Be that kind of Defensive Wall that is always able to Spin out a beautiful, unpredictable, completely skilled up Offense.

BOARD, REBOUND, RUN, BLEED, SWEAT AND CONQUER.

That's it.

I have no doubts this is OURS.

NO one.

moment about Spain loss. Spain lost in football because they have a wonderfully talented middle field but, just like always in their history, they have NO scoring forwards (scoring forwards CONSISTENTLY). I had bet actually on a Switzerland win. I just got home 675€. Which is great, considering one of those airplane tickets cost me 1765€ ;) I need South Africa to win today to get in balance ;) LOL...)

Song for celebration, this one:

(phred, that's probably my favourite Green Day song actually ;))

Hugs Fam :) :) :)

I hope you fall asleep in Game 7 as well (*LOL) Just playing with you...I promise to be on the live chat although I would rather give undevided attention on this most important game this season. Lakers winning another ring, everything will be alright. Posted by: Jeanette | June 16, 2010 at 10:31 AM
Lol, Hey Hey Jeanette, what can I say. Well there's a 1st time for everything.
But you can bet I will be wide awake for Game 7 and probably stay awake thru the next day too. lol! WE GOT THIS JEANETTE!!
MAMBA24

I AM DOWN AND CAN'T SEEM TO PICK MYSELF UP TODAY..

I must have drank three qtr of Jack Daniel and I have a huge hand over. I concede and this is my last post, no more. I hate my celtics they truly have let me down.

bye bye and lakers are the best of the two, as much as I hate to admit..

One thing I can just about guarantee is that Rasheed Wallace will get a tech in Game 7. Now that any suspension will carry over to next season, I guarantee it. When he does, I hope the Lakers hit the tech free throw. It could help win the game.

If Bynum can't play, Kobe should volunteer to start at center. He could pull a repeat of Magic 1980.

Mamba,

It appears I have 2 seats on the "GAME 7 - THE BIG PAYBACK - AND A RING THAT'S A FACT – ONE MORE WIN TO BE ETERNAL -BANDWAGON"

Seat 15 and seat 57 and in the interest of fairness, I'd like to ask the Laker Cru permission to fill the seat with a Boston Troll !!! After said Troll witnesses how we do it out West, pull the Bandwagon over, kick off Trollboy and throw warm beer at him as he scurries off into the gutter :)

"Fat lady didn't sing. Christina Aguilara did. And she killed it!!!! No women that look like her in Boston."

22-

Doesnt ECJ live in Boston? Be nice!!!

LTILF-

Check you out posting and posting. Had not seen many of your inaccurate posts since game 3. I know, I know you were very busy this past weekend trying to figure out how to stop the oil spill.

Roflmao! Oh Jesus don't hurt the lil fella. haha! I'll put another Laker fan in 57. Thanks!

What would have really made me laugh is if Jordan Farmar had gotten down on all fours and barked at KG after he dunked on him.

Shannon Brown

Anyone who says he is a good player loses all credibility with me. He just needs to work with a great like Magic? He had two great dunks, one that was drawn up for him and the other hand fed by Kobe who could of took it himself. What about those two plays make him a keeper? If he opts out who cares? If he doesn't then good, he's only worth $2mil.

@Zaira, Hey Zaira! I have no doubts either. Sorry about your Soccer Team. So the Lakers will win a Ring Thursday to make up for it.
Mamba24

Spain is not my Soccer (FOOTBALL!!! FOOTBALL!!!) team Larry ;)
Italy is.

Even though I hate half of the team there and I completely despise our idiot coach...

FIFA world Cup is a world feast to me. I love to see all games. I'm really really into that and to me, the best gotta win.

Italy is not.
But I will support my Country no matter what. ;)

After the deluge there may come, I will cheer those who play better. As simple as that. And no, Spain so far is nothing of that at all either ;)

Hugs dear :)

OOPs! In that case maybe you'll get to celebrate 2 championships despite your idiot coach. Lol! Take care Zaira

WE ALL KNOW HOW VEHEMENTLY RASHEED WALLACE PROTESTS EVERY SINGLE FOUL CALLS ….. And then replays show clear fouls committed by him.

And the irony is that he continues to jump up and down and makes faces in protest. He reminds me of an American idol wanna Bees who despite of not being able to sing insist they can sing. Rasheed suffers from same syndrome

ricky eres subnormal perdido, no haces mas que conseguir q la gente coja mania a pau, ademas tu ingles es deprimente

>>>He was in the "Shaq era" and now he are in "Gasol era".

Which shows how ignorant you are to the difference between Shaq and Gasol.

Shaq averaged 38 points and 17 rebounds per game in the 2000 finals.
Shaq averaged 33 points and 16 rebounds per game in the 2001 finals.
Shaq averaged 36 points and 12 rebounds per game in the 2002 finals.

Shaq NEVER had a game with less than 28 points or 10 rebounds in the finals in the Lakers championship years with him.

Pau falls below those minimums frequently. In fact, he's NEVER had a single 28 point game in the finals for the Lakers.

That's right. Shaq's WORST finals game for the Lakers' Championship runs was better than Pau's BEST finals game in a Lakers' Championship run.

Pau is a good player, but he will NEVER EVER measure up to Shaq.

Not even close.

>>>I know you were very busy this past weekend trying to figure out how to stop
>>>the oil spill.

More properly, a data spill at the company I work for. But thanks for your concern 131. I've been here, it's just hard to see my 10 or 12 posts when there are 500 posts by Celtic trolls flooding the blog.

LTILF-

I am not surprised. You need to have intelligence and logic to even think about the oil spill, forget about even solving it.

When you have neither, I am sure all you can do is repost and post more crap.

Although Id like to take credit for this post ... I cant. I was not from me.

LongTimeLakerFan:

They say respect and enjoy the ones that are there for you now, so why bother talking about Shaq in the past when Pau is the man today? Think about it!!

@FARSIDE....

and so does perkins n allen n garnett....u see where this is going??what's also interesting is that neither wallace nor perkins picked ut t's..the refs are quite aware of possible suspensions(they gave kobe 1 tho) Karma is a b tho sinse perk goes down with a(season ending injury?).............

Not that it is relevant, but I heard this on Sports Talk Radio today...

Line of the day:

"If the Cavaliers don't resign LeBron, they will quickly turn into the Expos..."

ROFLMFAO

I wonder how many Laker greats will be there tomorrow night...not to pressure anyone, just a 'gentle' reminder of the history of this franchise....Logo, Magic, Coop, BScott, the Captain, AC Green, Foxy, Big Game James, Norm Nixon...not to mention Stu Lantz, Jack, Madge Hearn....

ALL THE CRAZINESS, THE LAST SECOND GW'S, THE INJURIES, THE RUNS, THE WINS/LOSSES ....ends up with ONE game at Staples for the NBA title and another B2B....awesome!!

LET'S GO, LAKERS....no letdown, play the full 48 and get the job done!!!
