Did Artest's Twitter feed criticize Lakers Coach Phil Jackson?

Fabforum Update: Artest acknowledges Tweets are from him.

The Twitter feed for Lakers forward Ron Artest criticized Coach Phil Jackson with a series of dispatches late Thursday night, though Artest's brother claimed it was hacked.

The messages, or "Tweets," began at 9 p.m. with the unedited statement that, "Finally Phil Jackson didn't mention me in media before talking me Now I can build on game 2. Hopefully he talks to me before the media."

Then came the second dispatch, an hour later: “Ever since phil mention things about me in media before coming to me first I was weird. So every pray he can somehow close his yapper and now say AMEN.”

The third post, an hour after the second one, said that: “Its just something that I have to get use to. He is a different stlye coach. Just bad timing during playoffs and midseason for me!!

“I think right now the team is improving so we just need to keep building or moving ahead or forward. Locking down etc....”

Artest's brother, Daniel, wrote on his own Twitter account a couple of hours later that, “Whoever hacked [Artest’s] twit page is foul.”

Jackson had been praising Artest's defense throughout the playoffs but said publicly last week that he wanted the Lakers' forward to reduce his number of three-point attempts and pass the ball more often.

Artest is shooting a dismal seven for 42 (16.7%) from three-point range in eight playoff games. The Lakers lead the Utah Jazz, 2-0, in a best-of-seven series that continues Saturday in Utah.

Artest's brother had another interesting post on Twitter at about 6 a.m. Friday.

It took issue with the fact that Kobe Bryant was selected to the NBA's All-Defensive first team while Artest did not make first or second team, finishing 13th overall in the voting.

"I'm just gonna be honest real quick. Don't trip LA fans," Daniel Artest wrote on a series of unedited Tweets. "I mean. Ron was bought to LA to take pressure off Kobe. To guard the best scorers right. But Kobe makes 1st team.

"But all and all. I hope Ron takes this personally. I really do. He needs to D up with a chip on his shoulder for real. If the players voted we'd all know the real deal. Ron got snubbed."

The 30 NBA head coaches voted for All-Defensive team.
