Is this why Pau Gasol wanted his touches? Halftime stat for Pau is missed 5-8 shots all near the basket and 3 rebounds...How is that working for you Pau? I guess getting your "touches" is making us a better. Halftime Score Raptors 58 Lakers 50..

I hope all you Kobe haters are satisfied with the balance and "playing within the flow of the offense". Kobe is passing MUCH more than he's shooting. Toronto went to a zone, and Pau is 3 for 8, Artest is 1 for 4, Farmar is 1 for 4, Shannon is 1 for 5, and Lamar is 0 for 2.
But the real problem in this game isn't the crappy shooting by most of Kobe's teammates. It's people not getting back on defense and people not covering the 3 point line. How many more times do I have to watch Pau not run back on defense while Bargnani runs the floor and gets a layup? How many more times do I have to see someone cheat off of Bargnani or Bellinelli and leave them wide wide wide open for 3?
I'll tell you this, if his teammates don't pick up BOTH their offense and defense in the 3rd, then you can expect to see Kobeball in the 4th or you can expect to see a double digit loss.

so ... it's half time. the Lakers are down by 8 and Kobe has 5 assists.
Is it his fault?

Not a goood sign. We gave up 58 points itbought we would come up with a better defense than this. I hope the win this game.

Another "in the flow of the offense" layup bricked by Pau.
I hope he'll shut his yap about not getting enough touches after this game.
And I hope Kobe gets enough touches to get the win.

Even if we win this game (w/c I doubt) the Lakers fans should be concerned. Against the Raptors in our homecourt, please! There's no fluidity in their offense, and the defense is mediocre. I miss Trevor Ariza. This Laker team will be out in the second round. They are an "eyesore" to watch.

just under 6 in the 4th
Pau 4-11
Artest 1-5
farmar 2-7
brown 2-9
Kobe 8-18 + 6 assists.
That Kobe is such a ball hog. [ sarcasm ]

Using the <24 second rule, Kobe is 6/10. Ridiculous!
Pau needs to shut up and play some hard ball.

Hey Pau complaining in the papers about Kobe and then missing 7-11 shots with 9 rebounds aint gonna cut it here buddy..Talk like that will send you right back to Memphis! You're a very good player but Kobe Bean Bryant is a SUPERSTAR of SUPERSTARS. Kobe stats..32 points 11-20 shots and the "game" winner...Word of advice for you PAU...Please keep your mouth SHUT, Rebound, and play Defense..That is all we need from you.

Got a WIN finally!!
Not a beautiful win, but at the end our score was higher than theirs, and thats' all what mattered!!
Now, two days of rest and lets get off to beat Suns!!

Thank God for Kobe. Thank God we were born on the same lifetime. He is simply amazing.
Nice Win! Stopping that 3 game skid was a must. A lot of improvement should be made on defense though, obviously. On offense, we don't have any problems as long as we have Kobe. Only Pau was concerned about offense- like he keeps on mentioning about the 'balance'.
Like Mamba said, Defense wins Championships.
I see KB24 wasn't too thrilled on that game winner, IMO, he wasn't pleased on how they played defense.
LAKERS ALL DAY!

FEARless,
I sure do hope Pau shuts up after todays game. PJ obviously benched him on purpose during the early part of the 4th.
Indeed, Pau needs to shut it up and play hard ball!

Bets not calling 2 fouls when Pau had his shorts almost pulled off then hacked on the arm and no foul. Yet Raps get to shoot 2 technicals. Those should be reviewed by league and at least drop the Techs. Send film.
Next PJ says last minute we needed to hold them down from scoring and he inserted Pau into game after Drew playing outstanding defense changing shot after shot.
First thing happens when Pau in Bragnoni(sp?)drives and
scores in paint and later Bosh scores 3 pointer with out defender on him. I am not calling out Pau as I would have Drew at the 5, Pau at the 4, and LO at the 3 in that situation. Drew and Pau could guard the paint and LO the perimeter.
But I'll take the win.

The tech is for complaining too loudly, which both Pau and the bench did. Whether they're justified in complaining or not, they did complain, and thus there will be no techs rescinded.
But yes, the refs did basically give Toronto 4 free points at the end of the 3rd, start of the 4th.
Thanks refs for trying to help the other team beat the Lakers. They need to get more of a chip on their shoulders.
