To some of y'all who have talked about locker room issues:

Now we see the meat of the problem:

Fisher said he wanted the guys to put all their petty issues aside and stop acting as if they were on the court only because they were being paid to be. This is supposed to be what they love do to, so let loose and go get it.

from ocregister.com

my take: Pau & Bynum. he's talking to you.

LakerTom,

before you start, yes Bynum had a good game. I would like to see him play
D-Howard this hard before I relax on him. Toronto's bigs are more outside
shooters vs. hard play around the rim. In my opinion, which doesn't count
for much. I didn't want to hear you say that I never give Bynum any props.

re: Pau. He's still playing soft. Nice numbers though.

i will borrow from LakerTom and his 82 bandwagon

we R 15-2 to 17-0 for the rest of the season. with 7 more buzzer beaters. PJ joked that Kobe has at least a dozen. :-)

Good morning everyone!

I couldn't see the last shot, but I did see when Bosh nailed that 3. I worry that we're getting bogged down somewhat with the length of the season; I don't think that Gasol would have left Bosh knowing that they needed a 3 to tie if the game was played last season.

I think we need to get our heads on straight, since there are teams that (collectively speaking) seem to want to win more than ours does (championship wise).

UGH...Ever hear or spoofing? Or just working in any office where there are multiple PC's and PC labs.

Posted by: MAMBA24 | March 10, 2010 at 08:46 AM

spoofing? like LakerTom typing from office and home? :-)

or

anyone can have a desk top, a laptop and maybe an iPhone and iPod? that is already 4 and it is becoming the norm. in the privacy of their home. no office needed but that will give some extra characters.

--------------------------

yes Justa and MM, ChicnStu had a good guess last night on the game chat. for like 5 minutes i voted in the poll that Toronto will win the game. courtesy of the Kensington roller-ball mouse i had the poll by myself at 93%. (this is my last time - i almost missed the jump ball at the beginning of the game)

i'm doing it because i protest the the sign up system of the Live Chat through other sites and also to easily prove that any POLL can be rigged. on other sites the POLL recognizes the the IP and one can not vote twice. LA Times needs improvements.

From the LA Times story today by Broderick Turner:

"To Odom, one way to stop that is to play defense, is to get rugged, is to win an ugly game.

Basically, Odom wants his team to stand up, to stand firm.

'Right now, we've got teams that are way too confident against us," Odom said. They are even doing that here.' "

-------------------------------------------------------

LO has the right idea. I want to see some people on the team get nasty, even if it means getting thrown out.

I'm up for Sasha getting into someone's grill and under their skin. Maybe even a strategic elbow or two from Bynum. Not that I want someone to get hurt; but just to send a message like a hard foul (but not as dirty as McHale's foul on Rambo in the finals in 86 [I think]).

Remember in that Miami Heat game a while back when Bynum got used by Shaq and then he demanded the ball back on the following offensive sequence, dunked, and then got all in Shaq's face?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nuzx7-PjwEo

We need that ferocity again. He was 17(!) when he stood up against Shaq! When will our team start to display that?

I know that if I was 6'9", and playing in the NBA, I'd probably get a few votes for being a dirty/feisty/scrappy/whatever-you-want-to-call-it player. I just wouldn't let people come into the Staples center and try to talk trash.

I really want our team to show that fire, that heart that we know that they have. They wouldn't have won last year if they didn't.

Nothing to be proud of, on that win over the Toronto Raptors. The way the Lakers are playing, they will be out in the second round of the play-offs. No fluidity in their offense and mediocre defense. I can't watch the whole game of any Lakers game except for that one when they played the lowly Pacers. All the Lakers game after the All Star game were an "eyesore" to watch.

MM

save your budget and buy your ties at Goodwill. they have the greatest selection of ties from the 40-50ies till today. in any shape and patterns. and u can always find that great tie that nobody wears in the office/event. you help the community and cost 2 bucks. that rocks. and you can save 5 for the box. and 3 to get to Saturn. :-)

that 's the only clothing/accessory item i buy there and just passing buy it can change your mood. and at $10 you can have many new choices. better silk and thinner fabric compared to the averaged price tie one can find in the stores.

and they have parking!

SPOOFING, like using a browser which either masks your IP address altogether or substitutes a dummy address for your address. StartBrs is a very simple version of this type of browser, they can get extremely complex depending upon how many different conditions you want to add to further mask who you are.

kobe got the LION Face of the day and

Lemon Face: Pau Gasol

It’s not that Pau Gasol played poorly by any means. 17 points and nine rebounds can make a lovely evening for any power forward. It’s just that latelty, he’s been showing up soft in big moments. Perhaps he was supposed to shed that soft label during the NBA Finals when he put up nice numbers, gave great tough effort and won an NBA title. But I can’t shake that feeling that he’s still not comfortable doing the little things in crunch time that you need him to do. Be confident with the ball. Secure the rebound. Box the F out. Challenge the shot in a way that doesn’t allow a sea of opponents to wash in behind you and flood the offensive boards. Pau has shown to be much better. Maybe we can just chalk this up to him being in the same funk the Lakers were in.

-------------------------------

on a different note from Kevin Ding: while Faux Pas on the bench in the 4th, at each whistle he was jumping up the bench and looking at PJ to return. and PJ looking back was brushing him off and saying something like : NOW BE GOOD and SIT LIKE A BUNNY.

Oucchhhhhhhhiiieeeee,

>>>PJ joked that Kobe has at least a dozen

Maybe I misheard, but I thought PJ's comment (in answer to a question about Kobe's 6 game winners) was that he wished Kobe had had a dozen.

To be honest, I'd prefer if Kobe had no game winners this year because the Lakers were beating every team by double digits. But it's good to know that if the game is even close in the 4th, the Lakers have someone who can get them back into a game and win it, even if the rest of the team is floundering.

I mispoke before. There is a virus associated with StartPage so I'd advise against using it. Other IP maskers are:
ninjacloak, proxyswitcher & hide-my-ip

Last night, Bynum was the man of the evening. Finally, LakerTom is smiling again.

The Catalan is at a lost. We should give all the support in this blog for what he has done for the Lakers since he came here. In life, sh*t happens or what they call Murphy's Law, you just can't do anything right. It is time for him to have senorita on the side that will inspire him to get to that manhood of a fierce fighter. Rather than calling him "cancer" which is inappropriate because he's a good guy, I think anemic is more descriptive of what he's showing at this time. He needs a lot of iron in the body. (just a j/k for the spanish fans, don't take those posts seriously. By now, you are all aware that this blog is flip-plopping with props and criticisms....basketball is just an entertainment and the players are the actors.)

mamba24,

you wrote: UGH...Ever hear or spoofing? Or just working in any office where there are multiple PC's and PC labs.

my response: Actually ...

Enterprise/interior networks tend to use private IP's such as 10.*.*.*, 172.16-31.*.* or 192.168.*.* The firewall/choke router does address &
port translation to a public IP address like 1.1.1.1. so ....

all pc's in the office tend to show up with the same IP address to an outside
entity like the LA Times.

[ I could bore you with lots of other network/geek triva if you want. :) ]

my response: The summer before the championship, Pau hit the weights.
I don't think he did that this summer. I was looking at his arms and don't
look as muscular as they do when he played Orlando in the finals.

I also think the European championship win got into his head. i.e. He thinks
more highly of himself than he ought.

[ note: Pau is a very skilled PF/C. He's playing like a sissy right now. ]

"Other IP maskers are: ninjacloak, proxyswitcher & hide-my-ip"

now we can really start trolling in force. :-) poor MM with all those IP flashing him in circles like a merry go round. Invasion of the Ip's. what a horror.

more IP's than Farmar's missed shots? that's not possible.

Game winner after game winner, not sure I've seen anything like it (perhaps MJ). It really is remarkable that Kobe's had so many this year. One thing is that most games aren't that close and there aren't that many opportunities (well, except Lakers this year!).
Drew player well, was hoping PJ would let him finish, kinda reward him, you know. And perhaps we saw where Fish is best suited (at end of games), had an important steal at the end. Farmar and Brown were not so good. Also liked when LO turned it on. Maybe PJ should let him run with Kobe as the real number two? Overall, we have to be more consistently GOOD!

OH bore me HobbitMage bore me! Lol! By the way i wasn't trying to impress anyone with my knowledge, I was just giving some very basic tools that any amateur could use in a supposedly humorous type answer. I wasn't aware I was going to be graded on my response. Now if you want to correspond about Stealth Kits and the Like and not this kiddie hacker stuff we could do that to.

One other thing I don't know what kind of office you work in but if that is how your's is setup I suggest they fire the CIO.
Mamba24

Hey guys a new post is up

MM

hobbitmage, MAMBA24,

I'll have to tap into your knowledge at some point. I'm always curious about knowing more things; perhaps you both can share your knowledge with me about computer IP addresses at some point in the future? I would greatly appreciate it. :-)

Cali stop that! lol! That philosopher doesn't come after Cali for nothing. I think you probably could teach us both something.

Mark is their a transcript I can get of Phil's talk after the game? I saw the vid already.

John - I don't see any on the Lakers website unfortunately. So the video isn't suffice?

Mamba24,

you wrote: Now if you want to correspond about Stealth Kits and the Like and not this kiddie hacker stuff we could do that to.

my response: And that my good man, is why you run your network like:

rtr -- dmz [ sacrificial machines ] -- rtr/fw -- interior network.

no direct links to interior machines. rtr/fw run application layer proxies.
Internet Explorer is not allowed.

[ note: rtr = router. fw = firewall. & of course we know that vpn's connect to
the fw & we do port filtering on the first rtr. :) ]

Life is hard:

In life there comes a time when people must step up. The same can be said for sports team in the USA, and the team I am talking about is our lakers. It's hard when you are on the top, everyone is coming for you. But in order to look yourself in the mirror, you must perform when that's your job. Maybe just maybe our team will do just that, if not life goes on. Maybe next year as I tell most Lakers haters. So in life what goes around comes around, one and done for us. Or when the final season season we just might be refreshed and ready to play hope so, we are playing to be the best two years in a row, but if not still love those Lakers. Yes life is hard.

Another buzzer-beater...

I'm gonna have a heart-attack pretty soon. When Kobe have to save us, it's coz things needs to be fixed:

1) We need ti hit our shots. Too many missing shots, key shots. Things got a bit better on the 2nd half tho.

2) Why Pau was complaining with the refs? The faul? Yeah, it was faul, so what? Where does he think he's playing? The Cavs? It's been a while and we need to figure this out: Refs don't like us, or any team that wins too much. So complaining will NOT help us. He needs to play harder. Yeah, harder than the other teams and don't argue with the refs, unless you love technical fauls.

3) Bynum was better on D, but missed some key shots, the ones that he's 3 feet from the hoop and miss. I woke up my wife AGAIN with: "AGAIN, BYNUM? AGAIN M*$#@*?". I know, he did ok last night, but there's some shots you can miss, dude.

Cheers and let's HIT THE SHOTS!
