Lakers' Lamar Odom appears in Taco Bell Super Bowl ad
Lakers forward Lamar Odom had already bucked conventional wisdom last season, what with his claim that a good chunk of Now and Later, Skittles and Starburst Jelly beans served as a great breakfast fix before Games 5 and 6 of the Western Conference finals. While Dr. Daniel Amen(brain imaging specialist/psychiatrist/HUGE Lakers fan) reasoned that LO's candy eating habits fuels his on-court unpredictability, Odom threw out his own stat lines in Game 5 (19 points and 15 rebounds) and Game 6 (20 points, eight boards) as evidence that sweets, and not Wheaties, are the Breakfast of Champions.
Well, now we know what LO eats for lunch. He appeared alongside Charles Barkley in a Taco Bell ad during Super Bowl XLIV. And this wasn't the Drive-Thru diet they were touting. It was the NBA 5-Buck Box, featuring items such as a cheesy gordita crunch, burrito supreme, crunchy taco and cinnamon twists - you know, food you probably don't want gurgling in your stomach as you run up and down a basketball court. Then again, LO just became the eighth-fastest player in NBA history to notch 3,000 assists and 6,000 rebounds, a feat he apparently accomplished without following Jared's advice.
