Mark Medina
A Syracuse grad and a Pennsylvania native, Mark Medina loves every minute of the California cool vibes and the always perfect weather, even when Angelenos occasionally freak out over the drop of rain and cloud in the sky. Before arriving with The Times in Sept. 2008, Medina had done extensive reporting and multimedia work with various publications, such as the Richmond Times-Dispatch, Syracuse Post-Standard, The Washington Times, Inside Lacrosse magazine and the York Daily Record. Medina has covered all sports, among the highlights including once following Tiger Woods for 18 holes, covering the Syracuse men's football, basketball and lacrosse teams, attending Redskins training camp and helping out with The Times' 2009 NBA playoff coverage. Nothing tops the latter experience as well as his current gig with running the Lakers blog.

Mark, I'm in Taipei, Taiwan and didn't have access to TV and most web sites were blocked in my office. Thanks for allowing me to share this wonder experience with other Laker Fans. Peace out.

Hi Mark,
I wasn't sure how to reach you directly. You're doing a great job. As a former television writer and English major, I'm picky about language usage. You frequently substitute corps (a group of individuals working together) for core (the heart of the matter, the central group of participants, the midsection of one's body.) Today's Five things to take away from the Clippers Game article was a case in point.
Keep up the good work!
