Can you name the Lakers career points leaders?

First, I want to thank all of you for sticking with us during the blog transition. Up on our site right now: A photo gallery with the Lakers top 10 career points leaders. Think you can name all 10 before you look at the gallery? Do any of the names surprise you? Try to name all 10, then go look at the gallery here.

That West sweather makes me cringe.
And I tend to forget how much Byron Scott actually scored for us.
My bad.
Kobe will lead this soon btw.
Which I like.

Good morning CRUE!!

GAME DAY BABY - YYYYYEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

Ok - so this morning I wake up thinking YEAH - GAME DAY! Then, like a ton of bricks, like cold water thrown in my face, I think GREAT. The blog is in flux, I don't know if there will be a live chat, I have no idea who's going to stick around, and eewwwww I really don't know if I can take that or not. Like I told y'all - I'm currently hanging on by a very thin thread.

So - I'm feeling like I just got punched in the throat, like a raisin in the sun, like the wee little lamb that laid down on broadway....

Then - I get here, log on, hoping against all hope that it was a nightmare, a bad dream if you will. And lo and behold!! There was sunshine on a cloudy day! We have heard from the new mothership that blew the other one out of our stratosphere and the LAT Lakers Blog LIVES!!!! Oh joy of joys!!!! And - lest it not be said - we have actually heard the voice of someone on high who appreciates us for who we are.... wow. A temporary blog god who appreciates the looneys in the bin. Well - here's hoping that won't change. (The appreciation part..)

So now I only have one question: WHERE IS ROLL CALL????

Ok - another one: WILL THERE BE A LIVE CHAT TONIGHT OR NOT???

GO LAKERS!!!

Nothing but another title will suffice.

i hope u did not miss anyone.

kobe needs 25 games @ 25 each to pass the logo. it can happen much earlier. i hope it happens at staples so he can get the right ovation or the Lakers beat writer MB will write about it and we will all wait with anticipation. other announcers will mention it on tv or radio, but not in the arena. it happened the same when he passed 20,000.

WE’RE STILL HERE 2.0
Looked out the window and was amazed to see, the sun just where it’s supposed to be.
Just as the Sun didn’t disappear from the sky , The Lakers Blog Remains & will never die
We’re still here and that’s a fact, What’s done is done now lets get this Blog back on track
Yesterday was almost like a Kamakazi Ride, but we stayed together thanks to our Laker Pride
Pride in the team and Blog family too, When the going gets tough Laker Nation will come thru
But don’t relax and think the crisis is done, It’s still possible they’ll do a hit and run
What was the most gratifying thing to see, that even the disaffected returned to say let us be.
And quiet as it’s kept some of their beefs were real, with the old regime, we all know the deal.
I ‘m not one for controversy but it’s a fact, A lot of post submitted, they somehow lost track
Some of this could be blamed on the Web I know, But some of it was B.S. & you know it’s so.
They say tough times demand tough talk, So we’ll talk it out together or if not just take a walk
But for now let’s put the past behind, Who knows, some great opportunity we just might find
Much as this is a crisis, it’s an opportunity too, To have some input and try something new
The Times didn’t cause this mess & can’t blame the Kams for looking out for their best
It’s just the venue they chose to go, It’s like the Dark Side of the Force, ESPN, Hell No!
What’s best for them was not best for us, So for now in the Times I’ll place a “lil” trust
Complete trust cannot be given, it must be earned, that’s the only way to not get burned
It was nice to see some newbies jump in the fray, Chema, Iggy, you “done us proud” yesterday
Then the Elders lent their weight to the cause, They rallied Laker Nation & posted without pause
The entire Laker Nation shifted into gear, To fight for and protect this Blog we all hold dear.
Well that’s about it, I guess I’m through, I’m Mamba24 and LAKER BLOGGERS Kudos to You

ALL TOGETHER NOW –
We’re the World Champion LA Lakers , we’ve won 15 Rings

We’ve had 3 Laker Dynasties and now are starting on 4
That’s 2 better than any NBA team ever had before
The best Winning Percentage in History, yeah that’s true
You want Hall of Fame Coaches, Check it, we’ve had two.
We got the Finals MVP, You know the Name Kobe Bryant
He scored more points than an entire team without even trying

We got The Logo Jerry West & The Great George Mikan
The smooth one Elgin Baylor & Magic Johnson the Icon.
We’ve had great centers like Shaq, Wilt & of course KAREEM
Great guards like Worthty, Silk & Goodrich played on This Team

Hello Everyone,

went to that other site that won't be named and saw that they don't allow commentary for many post, and some of those are fluff pieces for the "Supposed" Rivalry between Kobe "4 Cookies" Bryant and LeBron "Im a winner" James. Ewww, makes me want to vomit. Anyway, after watching Avatar for the uptemth time, I noticed a clever similarity with what's going on on the blog. Hear me out on this: ESPN is the all powerful and technologically advanced humans who want to take the heart out of LA Sports by creating that site that I won't name to run the LA Times into the ground in the name of progress. The LA Times is the World they come to invade, and we the Bloggers (and Lurkers to a lesser extent) are the Na'vi, who stick to tradition and the sense of community we have here. I won't spoil it for those that haven't seen it, but it's eerily similar...

Anyway, we got a young OKC team that will come here to
make a statement. I know it was a road trip, but I get the feeling that if we contain Westbrook, we will beat them easy, if not, we will have the Combo of Durant (Future Beast) and Westbrook to deal with. With the road games done, I just get the feeling we are going to be extremely sluggish in that first quarter, let's just hope we weather the storm so that we can commence with a beat down that will send a message to LeBrat and the big Crybaby. Whose with me on that?Go Lakers, the present and future kings of the NBA!!!

Wow, crazy 36 hours, but I think we’re going to be okay. Still, some inevitable adjustments coming, but we’ll figure it out – together.

I only discovered this place in July at the beginning of LOCO when my world had just been rocked by the Ariza/Artest swap. I loved this site and all of you immediately. This community is impassioned, intelligent, quirky, witty and occasionally bloviated. And really, doesn’t that describe most families?

Thank you to the LAT staff for recognizing how special this unique little blog family is. A special hello and thank you to Mike James and Mike Bresnahan for responding directly to us. The interaction really does go a long way.

One comment: the threads may be coming in a little too fast and too often at the moment.

To the regular cast, those who have recurring roles and those, like me, who make cameo appearances: Thanks and much love to all.

Mamba24: the day you added me to the roll call and even gave me a by: line, I knew I was home.

Phred: obviously, I’m still feeling the love.

Floyd: we should let everyone know that if the LAT starts to stifle or censor us there is an international distress call. “Help, help! I’m being repressed!”

Zaira: siete come una piccolo sorella a me. (Did I say that okay?) Here’s the massive HUG you asked for earlier. Try Ravel’s “Bolero” for a little boost.

Well now, it is game day and we all found our way here because of the love we share for our Lakers.

So, it’s time to board the Laker Express. And this is a bullet train so there’s no running along side in hopes of catching up later. Either step on or wave good bye.

Lass

Game day, at last!

The singular point of concern for me regarding this team is The Bench Mob.

I naturally assumed (last year) that this year The Bench Mob would be improved... considering that they had another year of experience, coaching, gelling, and becoming comfortable in The Triangle... BUT NOOOO!!!!

Phil seems to be going much shallower into the bench this season than last, which I don't get, especially considering the margin of victory in many games and the age of some of our starters. Befuddling. Truly befuddling.

I'm wondering if Luke's injury has been actually that significant in hindering the play of The Bench Mob and if he truly was "the glue guy" for the Mob. I'm thinking that may be the case (despite the agonized screams of opposition echoing from the legions of Luke Haters).

Anyhow, it will be good to get Luke back, because we need The Bench Mob to be playing at their best, not just allowing the starters to rest for a couple minutes while the lead shrinks.

What do we play for? RINGS!!!!

Lakers Today... Lakers Tomorrow... Lakers Forever.

GO LAKERS!!!!

The day you added me to the roll call and even gave me a by: line, I knew I was home.Posted by: LakerLass | December 22, 2009 at 09:48 AM

and I am blushing at your kindness for that . Thank u :)

Lakerlass,

very good---made my day, as it were, seemingly...
