Ron Artest: Championship caliber haircut

October 27, 2009 | 11:38 am

Ron Artest gets his head ready for opening night. Literally. Pictures do far more justice here than words.

Via Ball Don't Lie, the characters on the left mean "champion." Interestingly, Andy is getting a picture of his laptop and special blogging glove shaved into his head. He's excited about opening night, too.

WHAT!!! NO TRU WARRIOR? NBA BE AFRAID BE VERY AFRAID

It feels great being part of something while so far away from my hometown (The Wood). Hope everyone has a fantastic day today! Posted by: Caliphilosopher | October 27, 2009 at 11:13 AM

As long as you can get to The Lakers Blog you will always be home Caliphilosopher.
Mamba24

Aw shoot! Big Baby of the Septics broke his hand in a fight and may be suspended. Life is just not fair!!

Good Morning Everyone.....

AK/BK......Memphis ask Kareem to drop by for a possible spot on its coaching staff...Its at realgm....Not happy about that....

Poor Blake Griffen..
Poor Glen Davis...
And Rondo wont sign a contract extension....

Good luck tonight boys.....

Hey that looks great how are you guys doing K-Bros
New season and we look great but the Clips are falling apart as usual

"So Let it be written, So let it be done" - 2009-2010 NBA Champions!

Jon K., What do we play for!

Oh....and another thing...Can anyone tell me a time when Trevor Ariza was yelled at for taking a shot away from Kobe,Pau or anyone else for that matter..

This Rockets GM must have missed Ariza standing alone in the corner before the ball was kicked out to him for 3.........

Why would you go public with a story like that?.....

BK,

How can you not love Ron's passion. The guy is out of this world funny. I love him. He is our enforcer par excellence.

Tom

Can you guys get a picture of Phil's face the first time he lays optics on that bad boy?

I'd love to see that face.

Gotta love Ron and his hood-a-lyzin, I wonder if he gets it done at practice like Lamar does? I wonder if Sasha will adopt the same practice except using Slovenian words.

GAME DAY!!!!!!!!!!
GO LAKERS!!!!!!!

It should be a good battle tonight with the Lakers occupied by revels past, the Clippers looking to the future only to have the Demons of the past rear their heads, belch forth maleficent flames and snath Blake Griffin to Hades...or the trainers table as it's called in Clipperland.

If we keep pressuring this Clipper team by running at them, taking the ball into the post and playing Baron to pass we should be OK. Also, put a body (or two) on the Rhino, Craig Smith.

Obviously, we should win, but this is a good first test. Potential Hope vs Potential Repeat.

I feel good about our chances.

He's growing on me but I'm still on the fence. What will he do while the rest of the Lakers collecet their hardware tonight? Will he stand by and watch or is it customary to stay in the locker room?

By the way, we should've invited Trevor to come and receive his ring with the team. Is that even possible? Also, can we get one for Mihm? I feel so bad for him.

Now *THAT* is showing true Laker pride Ron.

Ring ceremony tonight after watching the Green Weenies from Beanie get smacked from Lebron.

Oh and the curse continues with Griffin out 6 weeks. Maybe they will play "The most selfish player [Donald Sterling] ever saw" more (Al Thornton).

Clippers suck today...Clippers will suck tomorrow...Clippers will suck forever Jon K. !

mamba24,
"Big Baby of the Septics broke his hand in a fight and may be suspended"

So how many games would that lineup win now?

In the end there can only be one. The Los Angeles Lakers will be the last and only team standing when its all said and done. The journey starts again tonight! The P&G Will Show No Mercy.
LAKERS FOREVER

Wut up CRUE!!!

Can't wait for tonight - I'm salivating at the thought of seeing our boys receive their hardware. I sure hope Trevor's there - has anyone heard anything?

Here's a repost from a previous thread:

Just finished reading Kevin Ding's article in the OC Register today. Excellent as usual...

Here's an excerpt - It's Kobe speaking about Thriller:

"Look at his career: He demanded a trade in Indiana. OK. He had the brawl at the Palace in Detroit: Somebody threw beer on him, he made a bad decision, went up in the stands, kicked his ass. OK.

"Outside of that, what issues have you had with him? He's eccentric. OK. Carves stuff in his hair. OK. He runs around the hotel in his boxers. Right.

"But what the hell does that have to do with the basketball game? Absolutely nothing. When you step on that basketball court, he's a former Defensive Player of the Year. He's tough, plays hard, can pass, can shoot. All those other things have absolutely nothing to do with what he does on the basketball court.

"And what I've seen so far is a guy who works his butt off every single day and wants to do what's right for the team. It's really that simple."

YEAH!!! I LOVE THIS GUY!!!! (Note also - he was the last one off the court after practice yesterday, practicing his shooting. Gotta love the work ethic.)

I KNOW that Thriller will be sooooooo motivated after tonight - watching everyone get their ring. His hunger-meter will be off the charts!!!!

Nothing but another title will suffice.

BRING IT ON!!!!!

Speaking of funny videos...I thought the one with kobe leaving Phil Jackson hanging on a fist bump was pretty funny...

http://tinyurl.com/yl8rof4

What I do enjoy about Thriller's "eccentricity" is that it intimidates the opposition. Unpredictability and passion can be very effective in generating fear.

What do we play for? RINGS!!!

Lakers Today... Lakers Tomorrow... Lakers Forever.

GO LAKERS!!!

It sucks that Blake Griffin is hurt. Thank God that the Clippers are deep this year, but I hope they escape the injury plague that crippled them last year.

Go Clippers!!!

GO LAKERS!!!!

Charles Present!

Ron the Art, the picture worth a thousand posts.

Thought Ron might have passed on the hair this year, breaking with a long standing Ron tradition, leavin' the past in the past, startin' a new chapter and all.

Not concerned with past Ron traditions as long as this season's end result is the change he's been looking for his whole career.

Thanks for the visual, K Bros.

GO Ron, GO Lakers,

Damn I wish I could be at staples tonite. Its gonna be rockin!

More luke over/under bets for tonites game:

* over/under on luke airballing wide open jumper 0.5

** over/under on luke getting telegraphed by a defender and getting swatted like volleyball spike style- 1.5

*** over/under on luke making one great pass but followed by three very bad passes trying to force it into a defender- 1.5

*** over/under on consecutive baskets a clipper scores with luke guarding him man to man- 3.5

*** over/under on # of opponents faces lighting up and salivating upon the sight of luke removing his warmups to check in- 11.5

Who wants action? Straight bets, parlays, or teasers. Place ur bets up to 5 minutes before gametime

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Trevor won't get his ring until the Rockets first game at Staples.

K-Bros: Please confirm.

YEAHH!!!!! Its finally here!!! Here's to a fantastic year for Laker fans all around the world!

As for the haircut, I'm ambivalent about it. If Testes was still a Rocket, I'm sure most of us would snigger at how he's just begging for attention. Now that he's one of us...
Hey, as long as he plays like a champion, it's all good with me!

Ladies and Gentlemen...BUCKLE UP!

HERE WE GOOOOOOO!!

YAHOOOOO!!!

Once he gets a glimps of the bling, he's gonna thrill for the Ring.
Stay Hungry Thriller! LOCKDOWN DEFENSE BABY!

Thank you Trevor! We Still Love You!

LOCK N' LOAD!

Noooooooooooooooo! Oh please ex. tell the truth, not big Baby!! Oh the Humanity.! How many games will that team win now? I don't know Ex. all I know is they will win one less game than the Lakers in thePlayoffs. Cause the Championship is ours!! Tru Warrior will be on a rampage after tonight when he see's everyone with their shiny new bling and none for him. Come to think of it Big Baby's no fool he don't want no parts of Ron-Ron.l Big baby indeed. He's nothing but a freaking bald headed lunatic green giant, with hair and the initials BB instead of K.G.

TREVOR, TREVOR, TREVOR. Don't worry folks someday, someway I have a feeling Mitch will end up making him a Laker for Life! Pleassssssse!

We have a hariyahu sighting folks. Two days in a row, very impressive. We'll
we be reserving a seat for you in the Chat? Lol!

Nothing but another title will suffice. BRING IT ON!!!!! Posted by: justanothermambafan |

Please calm down. You're going to wear yourself out before the ceremony starts. LOL!

the DICE is here!

Let the GAMES begin......

MAMBA24 WHERE THE HELL IS THE ROLL CALL!

LET'S GET THIS BLOG RAMPED UP!

Hey Mama24,

I'll try to post as often as I can, but am doubtful for today's chat. I need to be on the road at 5 so that I'm all prepared for the RING CEREMONY!!! Someday, not too far away :)

Ughhhh! Ugly ! Is Artest looking for spotlight here? He's got no championship ring ! Wants to steal the limelight from the deserving LAKERS.

I HATE HIM ! Because he is Number One ANIMAL NASTY. Never will even watch him, even if he's now with the LA LAKERS

He has no class. I would have cut his head, if I could.

HE IS THE ONLY REASON why I can not ROOT FOR THE LAKERS !
