Live from Staples: Lakers vs. Clippers. RING NIGHT!!!
October 27, 2009 | 7:22pm
To remind those who've forgotten the drill, the jabber box is below the jump. We may or may not have assistance clearing comments, so please, as always, we ask for patience to be exercised.
Won without taco, they forgot the fans. People attend games just for that Taco lol! Kobe's new sound: Haaay! every time he's bump or hit, heard it several times on inside games. Bynum is good too, tho' he should grab more rebounds, he's being boxed out by Kaman and this 6'7" Smith. Odom was the great difference tonight, played the PG all night. Farmar is still Farmar, makes lots of bad decisions on those poorly executed passes. Shannon was caught hot dogging without the mustard. Shall we talk of Walton and Vujacic...forget it. Most important, we won on ring night.
The primary weakness is guard play behind Derek Fisher.
Ron Artest is fitting in very nicely. Did you see he had the highest +/- total on the team? When he is on the court, the Lakers outscored the Clippers by double digits! He is a high impact player.
Last year, Odom was the Lakers' highest impact player. Ron is going to give Odom a run for the money on that. This bodes very well for the Lakers.
Kobe's been saying HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYY since live forever!! Def not a NEW sound though...It's all good -- the mic picks it up quite often..
I think the bench was guilty of trying too hard out there they forgot about execution and the little things.. But dayum, that is why Walton is in the game, to make sure they don't go there..."run the offense, and get good shots and defend" -- everything else will manifest from there but they got all caught up in the hoopla and tried to go solo and ended up squandering the damn lead!! I was hoping to see Adam but that never happened! I still think we need a boost to our bench, somebody like a Craig Smith..Hell, Ricky Davis is buried on the Clips bench basically, but I am just not feelin' Sasha -- he is unstable...Nonetheless, I am not complaining just observing..I am glad we won and I am looking forward to another SUCCESSFUL and INJURY FREE SEASON!!!
ITS...TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Overall, I love this Lakers team.
The primary weakness is guard play behind Derek Fisher.
