Your database for all things purple and gold.
Last time I use the words "spectacular" and Sun Yue together in a sentence.
Actually, that was.

One thing I forgot to mention about last night's game, was how effective LO was running the break after getting rebounds. It rarely gets mentioned in the media, but the coaches talk about it all the time - that it's great to have someone who can rebound and bring the ball up immediately without having to give it to another ballhandler. It's something they advocate and have LO do on purpose.

I'm watching the Chinese broadcast of the Celtics-NJ game and it looks like they're interviewing Sun. A little bit hard to tell from the poor quality of the video but I'm pretty sure that's him but I can't tell if that's him or what he's saying. Perhaps he's talking about how Boston wasn't able to beat the Lakers this year.

Check that. It must've been Yi they were talking to.
I'm streaming that game, as well as Crabs-Bucks and PHX-Miami. Not getting a whole lot of work done.

I think Shaq is coming very close to personifying what being a troll is:

He rolls into town and says stuff that's inflammatory just to get an emotional response.

AK & BK,
As I was mulling over our recent discussions about trolls, I finally realized that your policy in this area is really part of a coordinated campaign to integrate the Lakers Blog into the greater sports blogmunity in order to expand the blogs reach and readership. Hence, the guest commentators from other team blogs, the FaceBook interaction, the new blog roll links to other blogs, and the encouragement of other team’s trolls to interact on the blog.
From a business standpoint, I admire the decision and vision behind it. Were I in your shoes, I would surely do the same. It is sound strategy that enable the blog to continue to grow and expand. Personally, I think it was a smart move and I hope it pays off big since you guys deserve to be hugely compensated for what you have created and the enjoyment that it has provided so many of us Lakers fans over the past three years.
I would only ask of you that you not forget why the blog has been such a grand success. Trolls may not be affecting the overall readership of the blog at this time but to tout that as a reason not to ban trolls almost implies that maintaining the high level of content from the posters and bloggers within the blog isn’t important. Your outstanding articles may be the stars of the show but the great dialog and conversations that they generate are what set the blog on a plane of its own as far as most of us are concerned.
In a way, the blog is truly a team effort, not unlike the Lakers. We are the Sun Yue and Luke Walton to your Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol. We’re the instrument that you play and the orchestra that you direct. We’re the audience that applauds you and the admirers who click the links that pay you. All we ask is that get rid of Smush and Kwame, or at least put a muzzle on them. Only then will the blog locker room be in harmony again. LOL.

From Yahoo RotoWire (NBA Fantasy):
Update: The Orange County Register reports that Bynaum (knee) may return to the Lakers’ lineup by March 30.
Recommendation: Coach Phil Jackson said that Bynum will return to help the team in the last month of the season. It appears as if his knee injury is progressing very well.

BK,
I read in your earlier chat how you and others fear Utah more than the Spurs. Utah is STRICTLY a great home team and a POOR road team so I don't see them being a threat to us. I think they're overrated and them being a threat is blown out of proportion. I can see the Lakers winning in Utah before the Jazz winning at Staples in the playoffs. I really think that the Jazz may have won a title had they made a change at coach some years ago because as great as Sloan is the bottom line is he's never won a title in 20+ seasons in Utah. The bigger threats are Houston and New Orleans to me. Until Utah can prove that they can beat .500 teams on the road then I'll consider them a true threat.

Not to rain on the parade, but I wouldn't use those sorts of fantasy updates as an indication of when someone will return. What PJ said yesterday was that he anticipates AB helping the last month of the season. Obviously that means April, but not necessarily that Bynum will be back by the end of the month. Could be early April, could be mid. Everyone is optimistic right now (no reason not to be), but until he's on the court and running, it's hard to make a projection.
At the very least, I'd wait for stronger sourcing.
