Lamar Odom and PG&B update
According to the Lakers.com site, LO's MRI revealed a right knee bone bruise which will leave him at "day-to-day" status. We'll update this post if we get anything else from the Media Relations department, but for now, that's the word.
Also, as you may or may not have noticed, there was no Purple, Gold and Blue broadcast today. We're not quite sure what the story is at NowLive at the moment, but we haven't been contacted three weeks do our show, so it would appear that something is afoot. I don't think we've been formally "canceled" (I'd like to think a phone call would at least have been placed.) but rather some internal changes are happening at the moment and we've been simply lost in the shuffle. At any rate, we'll try to find out what the dillio is. And in the meantime, the ESPN weekly Podkast is still a go, so there's plenty of opportunity to hear us yammer online.

Glad it's not worse for LO. That didn't look good at all. And just when he was having his best game of the season.
Christopher Blake - I watch the game online when I'm on the blog. It's easier than trying to position myself with both. You might try that next time you need to get away from the Portland announcers. However, watching with your wife is probably great so I would totally understand if you wanted to watch with her.
Lakers have got to watch themselves tonight. GS is good at home and D is what I'm hoping to see.
To all bagging on Fish, Pau and Drew. Fish needs to be left alone. He's not perfect and I'd change some stuff but he's dedicated beyond belief, smart, a vet, and has done some great stuff for the Lakers (.04, people. Please.) Drew is still developing and yeah, he's not playing great, but holy moly let's get behind him. He was playing well enough to rack up double doubles more than a few times this year. Most players don't even do that. And Pau? He's been playing out of his freakin' mind, so to all those people I just basically say shut up. He's amazing. You obviously haven't even been watching him all season.
It's important to keep winning, and they will. You can't get the loss back but you can't flip your lid and freak out about it, either. Perspective, please.
*steps down from the soapbox*
GO LAKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The next two games are Golden State and Indiana. Both dangerous
teams, but I think the Lakers are capable of beating both without
the three guys who are out.
Hopefully Lamar will be back for the Miami game on Sunday
and Luke will be back by the Houston game, as there are a lot
of tougher games in the rest of January: Houston, San Antonio
twice, Orlando, and Cleveland. Then the start of February
sees them on the road against New York, Toronto, Boston, and
Cleveland, which will be a serious test of their mettle.

relieved its not worse. silver lining is, more PT for josh powell! i know it had to be frustrating being the 10, 11, 12th men on this ridiculously deep roster, but now these guys got no excuses. now is the time for guys like powell and mihm to showcase why they are on the roster in the first place.

Hmm. All this chatter about Nawlins having all this confidence after a victory..I guess I am partial cuz I didn't see it any significant way. They won the game, so what. I wouldnt go puttin' out the stops out and say that anything beyond that...But I guess I am hating and I'll be that.
What I saw was Paul getting all the calls and doing anyting we wanted cuz we didn't defend, same with West, who was hot and got any and every shot he wanted. It was like practice out there for both of them. Most, if not all of Kobe's shot were contested...But anyway, games over..Get better Lamar. You will be missed tonite.
Go Lakers...Bust some ass.....
Hmmm. Anyone now if Stephen Jackson is playing?
