Starting at small forward: Bono

That's who DJ Mbenga thought Vlad resembled with the Oakley-ish goggles he'll be wearing during tonight's game to protect a right eye that got poked hard on Friday against Denver.  The peeper is a shade of deep bloodshot maroon (BK found the appearance rather "28 Days Later," which made LO laugh), complete with a purple shiner to boot.  Asked if the eye was as painful as it looked, Vlad nodded, "probably."  But it's not causing any vision problems, so hopefully he'll be shooting as well as any other night.

And should he enjoy a particularly good game, Vlad can not only go out to a club to celebrate, he can keep the goggles on and get away with it.  Like everyone noted, they're fairly stylish looking.

PJ just said Rad will start and he likes Ariza to stay with the vaunted 2nd unit.

Doesn't want to mess with their enjoyment of destroying other teams. or something like that.

Wait a frigging second . I don't know about those glasses. Won't they screw with his spatial perception?

K Bros,
I'm curious, for home games what is your schedule like? I.e. how soon do you get to Staples, what do you do ...

The locker room opens up 1:30 before the game, and stays open until 45 minutes before tip. So basically for a 7:30 game we show up around 5:45. Then we're here generally for a couple hours+ after the game is over, getting quotes, shooting video, writing the postgame.

Um, perhaps this is an obvious point but it seems nobody else seems to have raised it so I am going to take the cheap shot.

HE WAS WEARING RED GLASSES TO COVER UP HIS RED EYES. HOMEBOY WAS STONED!

ok back to 4th grade.

On the flip side, he played pretty well. Does argue for Space Cadet to get blazed before games more often? Who is going to start the collection for a purple and gold bubbler?

I agree too much. Now the enviroment is becoming more serious with wolrd financial.
