Let's get it on!

Anyone who is watching the Courtside View is getting a treat by getting to see the starting line-up presentation.

Posted outside the live blog so these links won't be lost in the scrolling of the posts:

All three use the popout screen so no chat morons. Sorry, I cannot find any mogulus links.

annika interview on courtside view = awesome

also for drew gooden...."the stalactite"

I think I need a drink after that ordeal!!!

PAU freakin GASOL:

34 points (14-21), 6 rebounds, 3 assists.

This game he wasn't "Oh I need to find my buddy Drew" instead he attacked early and focused on HIS shot. Sure some jumpers didn't fall but it didn't matter because most did.

THAT IS THE WAY HOW TO BECOME A 2ND OPTION. As a result Kobe didn't need to work too hard had a very nice game:

21 points (8-16), 5 rebounds, 6 assists.

Still didn't like he took 6 3 pointers though.

Pau should continue to be the man in the post and score. Drew's jumpshot might actually come in handy since Pau is a much better passer than Drew and Drew could hit it much better than his hook shots.

1st and 2nd options: Kobe and Pau.

Drew should become more of a ROLE player in terms of rebounding, DEFENSE, block shots, and going to the hole when open. Kinda like the role David Robinson used in his last year in the NBA where he guarded Shaq and other good centers for 25 minutes well enough not to allow Duncan to work too hard on the defensive end. Drew guards these centers mainly instead of scoring, then Pau can worker harder on offense and Kobe and Pau combo will help flourish.

Derrick Rose is the real deal folks. He might actually be a combination of D-Will (in terms of physical strength and jumper) and CP3 (Penetration and layups). He could actually have more upside than D-Will and even CP3.

Courtside view is just too close once the ball is on play, the camera could not catch up with the frenzy pace, it makes everyone dizzy on a wide screen. During our time we refer to this as worms eye view b/c worm could see up and close but not too far and too slow to follow the ball. Bird eye view is much better, see all the plays and could keep up with the soft hand of the Catalan. Who said soft is bad? If Pau exerted power on those dunk shots, he would have missed half of them like Ariza. Have you noticed something, Is Ariza losing confidence on those alley hoops or it is just too fast. Well, I'm sure he was reprimanded by the coaches on his performance last Friday so he was tentative on his dunks, lay-ups including that assist from Kobe. Overall, Lakers are sometimes wild, there is just one speed: i.e. overdrive while the Bulls are wilder so both teams were playing cops and the robbers for 48 minutes...Farmar was singing "catch me if you can."

GO MITHERMUCKING LAKERS!

What a night from Pau. Right out of the gate, he played aggressively. He has one of the sweetest touches around the rim in the league. The offense runs much better when it runs through Pau. He's not only a great passer from the high post, but also is now almost automatic on midrange jumpers. I definitely want to see more of this Pau on a nightly basis.

Does anybody else cringe when Vlad has the ball? The guy is totally off his game. It seems now that we have only one dependable SF. A deal for Stackhouse looks better with every passing game. I hope that Mitch is trying to deal either Vlad or Luke for Stackhouse.

I'd call the thing on Drew Gooden's chin "goateelocks"

FROM PALM BEACH, FL

AGAINST #7 IS STILL THERE

116-109= 7

FOUR CLOSE GAMES SO FAR= 7

PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE= IMPROVEMENT EVERY GAME.

LOVE TO ALL

SHEKOBE FOREVER

While certainly impressive, Derrick Rose is not a pure PG like CP3 and Deron Williams. Given the choice, I'd rather have a PG who looks to pass first and can better run the team.

Mitch, if you're reading this, offer our next 10 1st round picks for Rose.

EJK

Can I assume that you must HATE Derek Fisher?

pfunk36,

No, D-Fish is fine for the Triangle. If we were a team that ran a more traditional offense, I'd rather have CP3 or Deron Williams than Rose.

the game was never in question.

utter domination, only the very real skills of D Rose made that look like a contest.

this is another year to pray for team health. all last year the Lakers learned from their mistakes. if they stay healthy, i think they'll do the same this year and deliver the trophy to the LA basin.

Ok. Have calmed down somewhat now, after the ordeal of not being able to watch the game, relying on NBA radio. A W is still a W. Looking forward to Thursday (or Friday, my time.) Good night, Laker Nation. Anna
