Game Thread- Lakers at Hornets
November 12, 2008 | 5:08
pm
On the heels of a tough game Tuesday, the Lakers get CP3 and Co. It's a tough test for sure, given Paul's ability to penetrate and the multitude of shooters New Orleans can deploy. Again, though, the Lakers carry a substantial advantage in roster depth, and ought to be able to use that to their advantage. Good news for the Hornets: Mo Peterson is in the starting lineup. He had been questionable with a knee problem.
We'll see. As for the game thread, we're going to use last year's model tonight.
BK

Did you guys get confused?
Dual game threads?

paul is sick... two of those shots were impossible
Posted by: CBuck | November 12, 2008 at 05:23 PM
They laid off Paul there on the P and R, and he just took the open mid range jumper. that's the aspect of his game that's improved the most.
He hits another little baby jumper for four straight points.
Dude can play.

Fish's offense may perhaps be the best defense against Paul.
Posted by: Faith | November 12, 2008 at 05:24 PM
Wow. I hate to see any bucket against the Lakers, but that baby jumper in practically a limbo position is pretty damn impressive.

Wow. Our offense is SHREDDING the Hornets D.
Posted by: Mayor of Kobe Town | November 12, 2008 at 05:30 PM
Fish, fishing with confidence.
Was that a block??
No more second chances. We give up a lot of offensive rebounds for a team with two bigs!!
GOoooOOO LAKERS!!!
Posted by: JohnnyP | November 12, 2008 at 05:30 PM
If the Hornets don't stick a few threes, it's going to be a long night for them. The Lakers are packing things in tight on the rim.

Not only is the audio terrible, it's ahead of the video. Anyone have a good link to this ?

Fish is hot; The Lakers look focused;
I think we can safely say that the whoopin has begun!
Posted by: Eric M. | November 12, 2008 at 05:31 PM
During Matt "Money" Smith's pregame show, Kurt Rambis talked about how the coaching staff stressed that the ball hasn't been moving well enough over the last three games, which has resulted in some offensive struggles. Considering how it the Spalding is cruising around, the players clearly listened.

Is it just me, or does Chris Paul carry the basketball a lot?
Posted by: justanothermambafan | November 12, 2008 at 05:31 PM
Lakers are doing what they have to. Challenging any and all shots...even on the 3 point line.
Posted by: Faith | November 12, 2008 at 05:32 PM
justanothermambafan,
I don't know about carry, but double dribble everytime.
