Okay. Hey folks. As we mentioned, we'll try the new software for this and see how it goes. If the Lakers only win by 14, don't blame it on the format.

So what's up with this??
AK/BK you no longer hang out before the show so that we can get our links together. Now aren't posting after the game starts. I guess we should go to Blue and Gold until half-time, eh???
PS Sorry if all is normal right away. I appreciate your blog.
GOOOoooOOO LAKERS!!

this could be premature but.....
A.Bynum is doing very well in his play in the start of the game.
This is the Bynum we were hoping to see and more consistent play like this will get him some money.

Kobe's gettin stripped right now like crazy. Are those rips clean or is he getting fouled?
Posted by: socalife | October 29, 2008 at 07:54 PM
wow, i guess kobe isn't getting ANY calls tonight.
Posted by: socalife | October 29, 2008 at 08:04 PM
That pass by Farmar is the reason that I refuse to get on the bandwagon....absolutely idiotic, and until that crap stops he needs to stay on the second unit.

Baron Davis is clearly the best player on the floor right now - I think Baron is a terrific player, but I don't think he'll be this good over an 82 game season or a 7 game playoff series.
I'm glad to see that Clips are going to be a good team this year though and I think have a legitimate shot at the 8th spot in the playoffs. Which means Lakers vs. Clips in the 1st round of the WC playoffs! Can you imagine if Brand had stuck around?
Posted by: LakerinBC | October 29, 2008 at 08:12 PM
BLöG CRüE
The Clips have some veterans who are hyped up and ready for the challenge. We need to play tough and aim the for throat. This is Kobe's house not Baron's.
Colorado loves the Lakers!

Why does No show Tim Thomas always shows up in Lakers games?
Posted by: LakerinBC | October 29, 2008 at 08:29 PM
Forcing the issue on offense, instead of being patient, lead to a lot of those first quarter turnovers which fueled the Clippers' running game. Clips are very active, much more than Portland was, but guys like both Davis's and Tim Thomas define inconsistency. You live by them and die by them. Hot and cold. Thornton is a great young talent.

Looks like this isn't the place to hang out during a game any more, BUT!!!! I HAVE A HAPPY PROBLEM TO SHARE WITH YOU ALL (if you see this before the game is over).
I don't know who my favorite Laker is. Farmar? Fisher? GASOL (a strong contender), ARIZA!!! Oh yeah that Kobe guy. Heady band Sasha, I'm not sure what's up with Andrew "Is it my turn to shoot?" Bynum. Lamar, THE SPIDER, Odom? Who might it be???
GOOOOoooOOOO LAKERS!!!
Posted by: JohnnyP | October 29, 2008 at 08:41 PM
Hey,
Did you all ever hear that Mr. 3, Count it!!!, Money, Ariza couldn't shoot from downtown. Well whomever said that has a lot of deep bombs to eat. Bon Apetite!!!
GOOOoooOOOO LAKERS!!!

Democracy before rights!!! GOooooOO TEAM!!!
GOoooooOO LAKERS!!!

BH, Don't rain on our parade. That pass is why we are the greatest. We can slow down. That's easier than the other teams learning how to speed up.
GOOOooooOOO LAKERS!!!

Hate the real-time thread
2 thumbs down
Kobe was never a great dribbler and it seems since the pinky injury he's been stripped at a greater percentage. It also doesn't help that he puts himself in positions to get it stripped. You usually can get some fouls in the regular season but forget it in the playoffs. Kobe is the most stubborn player in basketball which is his achilles heel

up by 30... if the Lakers hold on to win and anyone brings up the fact that decisive wins against Portland and Clips aren't very impressive, here's what I say - These wins are an improvement over past Lakers teams that would consistently play down to "lesser" opponents. Tonight, they're actually showing signs of a killer instinct.
Posted by: lakers_sth | October 29, 2008 at 09:28 PM
as usual lakers_sth...that's an insightful observation
The Lakers have the correct mental attitude this year and PJ has successfully convinced the players the importance of home court advantage in the playoffs.

62 points in the 4th quarter for the Clips!! Low score last night too. SO now the question. Are we just meeting loser teams or is OUR DEFENSE REALLY GOOD????
GOOOOOooOOOO LAKERS!

Once again, Mr. Bryant can go watch this one from the hotel (It is a road trip). If we need him we'll call him.

I am an old man with fading eyesight, pain in my fingers and balls that bang on the back of my legs when I walk. I can't deal with this new software. Please change back!
GoooOOOOOoooOOOO LAKERS!!!!

The storyline of this game is the emergence of Chris Mihm.
Posted by: lakers_sth | October 29, 2008 at 10:10 PM
kobe is a damn good dribbler, maybe not great, but just shy of that level. i do think he gets lazy with taking care of the ball at times, but not to the extent of the strips tonight.
Posted by: socalife | October 29, 2008 at 10:11 PM
Lakers world,
You are correct, NBA Teams can only suit up to 12 players.
Otherwise for sure Phil would have brought out Sun Yue and Mbenga.
Simply the Lakers have a very good team and bench.

80 more wins folks...
go LAKERS!
Posted by: David Whang | October 29, 2008 at 10:21 PM
If they used the BCS rating for the NBA, we'd be number one
Posted by: Fatty | October 29, 2008 at 10:42 PM
David Whang,
Actually 96 more wins.

Live blogging, there are writers and there are talkers. If I want to talk then I will call 'Money' Smith. Go with the traditional blogging during live games. Besides, Lakers won b/c clippers missed Camby. LMAO!

Edwin Gueco - "Lakers won b/c clippers missed Camby. LMAO!"
You've gotta be kidding...
Do you honestly think that Camby could have made up for the 38 point differential?!? You can't be serious, I encourage you to try and justify that argument... it just doesn't make sense
Posted by: BynumBeliever | October 29, 2008 at 11:49 PM
socalife,
>>>A.Bynum is doing very well in his play in the start of the
>>>game.
>>>
>>>This is the Bynum we were hoping to see and more
>>>consistent play like this will get him some money.
You said the key word in that last line. "consistent"
If he plays like he played in the first half of the first quarter,
but plays CONSISTENTLY that well over the season, then
he would deserve a max contract.
But if he plays like that for 5 minutes per game, then not so much.
If I were him, I'd take the 50 million plus incentives. If he
were to suffer another injury that takes him out for a lot
of games (ala Greg Oden), then he'll probably get offered
LESS money next summer. Oh well, he's mr. Vegas. And
if he earns a max contract, he'll get it.

Bynumbeliever,
You are too serious in hunt for non-believers. You can't decipher anymore a joke and a post with conviction. By tinclusion of the player alone, can Camby produce 38 pts. differential?
Try to read between the lines of Gueco's posts on parodies, criticisms and serious ones. Go Lakers.

hey do you even know indian stars Lara Dutta(Former miss universe) and Dino morea visited the staples and got a real good ovation and also met Kobe Bryant?
cool go Lakers!
