In the category of "dumb things said"...

This little gem would qualify. The notion that Magic Johnson "faked" having HIV is, on its best day, shamefully ludicrous.  But hey, at least these guys were being "edgy."  As we all know, that's what matters most in today's media.  Their station issued the inevitable "we regret these statements" statement.

For those interested in hearing the inane exchange, have at it.

(Update: Magic has taken the high road and opted not to call for the clowns in question to hit the unemployment line.  A classy move, for sure.)

mrbarneydangles,

I know your take on Lamar. It was more of joke than anything else.

Me and you go back a ways, rooting for Smush Parker way back before he was such a major bust. As members of the "GIVE SMUSH A CHANCE" bandwagon back in summer '06, we were true cavaliers in rooting for the underdog. Lamar doesn't fit into that catagory just yet, but it seems like he gets more headhunters on his tail everyday.

Hopefully Lamar and the Lakers can co-exist together into some championchips.

I've got my fingers crossed!

Peace out!!

The Lake Show goes ON THE ROAD like Jack Kerouac. It's time for a pre-season win.

Colorado loves the Lakers!

Santa Barbara's Finest,

After the meltdown, I can't afford to buy milk nor beer. Can't sleep well enough too for I might not wake up the next day to see the first win of the beastly-liked Lakers I have been hearing for quite sometime now. Take care and prepare for our real big part at the Championship parade.

Smuskalade,

Where have you been Dan the man? Now that you are back, Zakee will be reporting soon but not Mike T. He has been banned for too much proselytizing Kwame. haha! Also we have now a new cheer - no longer start Farmar, it was replaced by start the beast.

mrbarneydangles,

I have been to Cavarette's. It's great. That stretch on Sherman Way used to be my haunt when I lived in Woodland Hills. Good Indian, Chinese, and Italian food, Scottish and English beers on tap, fantastic Jazz played by wonderful musicians, upcoming bands and poetry readings and a pool hall all within forty yards of sidewalk.

It is the Valley and it is a bit gritty, but it has a certain charm to it because of that. I've watched a lot of Lakers games at Scotland Yard and listened to a lot of Jazz two doors down.

Man, I miss Los Angeles.

GO LAKERS!
