Game Thread - Lakers vs. Jazz, Game 4

Pressure is still on Utah, who can't afford to go down 3-1. Fewer TOs and more made jumpers and the Lakers can steal one in Salt Lake. A heartier constitution displayed by Pau Gasol won't hurt, either.

Farmar needs to be benched now!!
Posted by: HugoSpain "horse whisperer???" | May 11, 2008 at 02:37 PM
Does someone here realy thinks we have a good bench? Just look at Sasha's/Farmar play, Smush is not looking so bad on D anymore..
Posted by: LAL_Fan | May 11, 2008 at 02:37 PM
Farmar can't defend anyone!!! Take his butt out!!! Harpring fouls one every play.
Posted by: Nemaia Faletogo | May 11, 2008 at 02:38 PM
fARMAR FOULS tAKE HIM OUT! PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Posted by: Tom | May 11, 2008 at 02:38 PM
jordan's play is a joke, a bitter one ....
Posted by: playa | May 11, 2008 at 02:38 PM
C'mon Farmar is completely without confidence.
Phil must take him out.
We can afford have him running the offense.
The second unit is turning a close game in a blow out.
Posted by: Allan - Brazil | May 11, 2008 at 02:38 PM
Evidently PJ is willing to leave Farmar in to "taech" him..even if it means losing the game.I can't stand watching right now. Vald is a similar story. Ouch!
Posted by: AZ LakerFan | May 11, 2008 at 02:38 PM
WE DON'T HAVE BENCH ANYMORE!!! IT WAS A MYTH!!!
Posted by: LAL_Fan | May 11, 2008 at 02:39 PM
I have to agree with Faith on this one.
Fixed.
Mbenga stuffs Milsap, the Jazz fans LOVE the obvious blown call.
Posted by: WWJWWD | May 11, 2008 at 02:39 PM
Farmar is a mess. He's being run out of the bldg on both ends of the court. I feel for him but this is not the time for people who can't play. Get him out of there.
The foul calls against the Lakers is OUT OF CONTROL.
Posted by: KimD | May 11, 2008 at 02:40 PM
The NBA: where a DJ block leads to free throws happen.

FARMAR SUCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC
CCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKK
KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKSSSS
SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Maybe we should quit taking about sweeping the Celtics until we beat Utah? What do you guys think?
Posted by: KB24 | May 11, 2008 at 02:41 PM
This is another uneasy feeling game. Damn!
C'mon. Go go go Lakers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted by: Lakergurl | May 11, 2008 at 02:41 PM
I'm not usually one to bag on the officials, but WTF on that call on MBenga? That was a straight up monster block.
GO LAKERS!!
Posted by: Happy Camper | May 11, 2008 at 02:41 PM
Bench lost the game for us...
We're done... stick a fork in this game.
Farmar I dont want to see you in a Laker uniform anymore.
Vlad, same for you.
Posted by: Korey | May 11, 2008 at 02:41 PM
The Lakers sure look like they have the dumbest IQ from Gasol, Farmar, Mbenga and Turiaf. You Lakers fan will lose this series and go home crying. Muah ha ha ha ha.
Posted by: jake | May 11, 2008 at 02:41 PM
If this is the way they are going to keep calling this game, Phil should just clear the bench and tell his guys to "make them hurt." The Jazz are getting away with way too much, time to punish them....heck just tell Mbenga to pop someone's knee, they deserve a serious injury.
Posted by: BH | May 11, 2008 at 02:41 PM
bad game...Farmar needs to be benched the rest of the series
Posted by: drew | May 11, 2008 at 02:42 PM
WTF.. Thnks for the 2 fouls Mbenga. Let's put them in the line the rest of the period.
He puts this guy in on the 4th period??!
Posted by: Pedro | May 11, 2008 at 02:42 PM
The momentum is with the Jazz and the game will be over in the next 2 minutes if the lakers don't get stops. The refs are also letting harpering get away with murder. He is a garbage. All he does is grab, hold elbow and bump the opposing players and the NBA shouldn't not allow that.
Posted by: 70'slakerfan | May 11, 2008 at 02:42 PM
Kobe is going to score 25 points this quarter watch.
Posted by: johnny | May 11, 2008 at 02:42 PM

I love the fact the PJ is leaving Jordan in the game.
Teach his cocky a** a lesson.
Posted by: passionate Lakers fan | May 11, 2008 at 02:43 PM
Phil might have cost us with this whole lineup that's in!
Two good looks by Korver and offensive rebounds.
pfunk36 calm your azz down!

Posted by: LAL_Fan | May 11, 2008 at 02:37 PM
LAL_Fan nonsense comparison.
Smush was a starter not a bench player.
And Sasha/Farmar are young, will develop. They are just struggling at road due to lack of experience, but they have room to improve.
There was nothing else to expect from Smush.
Posted by: Allan - Brazil | May 11, 2008 at 02:43 PM
dynasty?!
Farmar point guard of the future?!
Posted by: Zin Master | May 11, 2008 at 02:44 PM
Man this is flat out ridiculous!!! Looks like we are again giving away a game we should be able to win, just like game 3. Utah is good, but there is no way they should ever be able to build up a double digit lead on anyone! And Harpring is getting Michael Jordan like respect from the refs in both games 3 and this one. Frustrating...
Posted by: jhnlannery1 | May 11, 2008 at 02:44 PM
Luke Walton should be ashamed of himself. Game over folks!!!!
Posted by: 70'slakerfan | May 11, 2008 at 02:45 PM
Luke can't dunk?
Posted by: Happy Camper | May 11, 2008 at 02:45 PM
MASSIVE foul on Price. What? No call?
TONS of body contact. F'n refs are so in the crowds hands.
Posted by: WWJWWD | May 11, 2008 at 02:45 PM
LUKE COME ON. You gotta go up quick with the layup/dunk. Don't act like you have all day to finesse it up there. GEEEEEEZ
Posted by: KimD | May 11, 2008 at 02:45 PM
PJ played the wrong guys at the wrong time. Lakers must get stops and attack the paint!!!! Luke went up way too soft on that layup. He should've dunked it!!!
Posted by: Nemaia Faletogo | May 11, 2008 at 02:45 PM
wait a second, what luke just did?? R U kiddin me??
Posted by: playa | May 11, 2008 at 02:46 PM
OMG, Walton got blocked by a smaller guy. What a stupid guy Walton is?
Posted by: Jake | May 11, 2008 at 02:46 PM
If Hubie says one more thing about that OBVIOUS foul by price without recognizing the body contact I'm gonna puke.
Posted by: WWJWWD | May 11, 2008 at 02:46 PM
And people say that Kobe should trust his teammates more.
It is really hard seen stupid plays like that.
How difficult it is to just dunk the ball while you are alone?
Luke's a good player but he makes a lot of stupid moves everytime the game is on the line.
Missing Ariza. A lot.
Posted by: Allan - Brazil | May 11, 2008 at 02:47 PM
Millsap is just out working Odom.
Posted by: Tom | May 11, 2008 at 02:47 PM
We can get a rebound to save our lifes
Posted by: Pedro | May 11, 2008 at 02:48 PM
We can't get a rebound to save our lifes
Posted by: Pedro | May 11, 2008 at 02:48 PM
Walton got cracked on the head no -foul.
Fisher gets whacked no-foul.
I hate Utah. I swear.
All they do is foul.
Posted by: Korey | May 11, 2008 at 02:48 PM
WTF Luke, this is the NBA not the YMCA! Ship Luke azz out too!!!
Posted by: chuck23 | May 11, 2008 at 02:49 PM
That's the one problem I have with Derek
At times he doesn't know how to stay in his lane
Get the freakin' ball to Kobe on that break
Posted by: pfunk36 | May 11, 2008 at 02:49 PM
Grimmace in pain you loser Lakers fan. Jazz will win this series because your players have the dumbest IQ. Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha
Posted by: jake | May 11, 2008 at 02:49 PM
Since we can't do the Kwa-me sucks chants any more. We can start Far-mar sucks chants
Posted by: Tom | May 11, 2008 at 02:49 PM
I am literally screaming at my television right now in hatred for the Jazz and love for the Lakers.
I don't care how crazy it sounds.
The collective energy of fans matters.
Scream at your television! Root for your team!
Odom is Doom for the Jazz!
GO LAKERS!
Posted by: Jon K. | May 11, 2008 at 02:49 PM
Those refs are blind! Man where do you train refs in U.S.? they shoulb be in jail
Posted by: HugoSpain "horse whisperer???" | May 11, 2008 at 02:49 PM
Man is Fish terrible at driving to the basket. He should've passed it to Kobe to finish and possibly draw a foul. Those are some of the bad plays that have killed us so far. Lakers are still in it, but need to get stops and continue to attack the rim. Go Lakers!!!
Posted by: Nemaia Faletogo | May 11, 2008 at 02:50 PM
Derek Fisher usually has at least thre selfish plays each game. He should have giving that ball to Kobe, it has to be one of the most selfish play I have ever seen. And it came at a really bad time
Posted by: wow | May 11, 2008 at 02:51 PM
I can not believe only like 3 persons are playing today, Pau Kobe and Lo. Rest of the team - garbage... Luke needs to be shot on the spot for blowing this layup...
Posted by: LAL_Fan | May 11, 2008 at 02:51 PM
Lakers look slow and confused and the effort is half ass. I don't care about the refs or the injuries---you gotta suck that up and play thru it. This is the playoffs for goodness sakes.
