Kobey with a sportscenter highlight for the ages!!!!!!
Posted by: shneurson | May 27, 2008 at 08:04 PM
Fisher gets tripped by Parker and kneed by Bowen.
No Foul.
Odom gets hacked on the arm on the outlet to Kobe.
No Foul.
Luckily, the cheating azz officials didnt call foul on it and we get a free breakaway layup.
I think the NBA is going to have to do something about these officials.
Maybe give them all earplugs before the game or something cuz homecourt is way too much of a cheating advantage.

Bowen undercuts, trips, shoves in the back...
I love how that is considered great deffense

Ugh this suspense is killing me!!!! The spurs are right there...then they lose it...its so back and forth!!! COME ON SPURS TAKE THE DAMN LEAD!!!

Fish for a vet is not playing real smart right now. He had Kobe and LO on the wing and he goes into the key against three Spurs loses the ball and then he fouls Duncan at the top of the key with the shot clock at two. Fish seems to have tunnel vision whenever he drives to the hoop because he rarely passes or gives up the ball and is usually out of control when he goes to the basket.

I'm pretty sure the Lakers are going to win this game, but I have a feeling it's
going to be one of those "down-to-the-wire-nearly-giving -you-a-heart-attack" type
of games!
I think the Lakers will start getting the calls down the wire and the Spurs will
fall apart.
GO LAKERS!

No way Fish and Lamar can get in the flow getting into foul trouble. We need more from Pau but we're not getting it. It will be a challenge to get out of here with a W but the Lakers still have a chance. Very strange game tonight. Go Lakers!

Alrighty then, which ONE of the Spurs paid Joey Crawford off tonite?
Posted by: lakersrydeordie | May 27, 2008 at 08:07 PM

Posted by: jhnlannery | May 27, 2008 at 08:10 PM
Doug Collins sounds like he wants to give Ginobili an alley oop pass.
Posted by: The Lake Show | May 27, 2008 at 08:11 PM
These calls are complete BS!!!

KOBE IS KOBE
If I had to bet my life on one NBA player, I know who it would be.
That dunk was huge. Rebound and pass by Odom was huge, too.
I'm still good for a few rounds with the complaining Luke haters, if they want, but I just noticed-
I don't hang out on the other teams blogs, but I would be very surprised if, when they played the Lakers, they could have roughly five continuing debates going that at no point involved the team we are actually playing.
LUKE IS SHITE v LUKE IS OKAY
PHIL IS SHITE v PHIL HAS TEN RINGS
PAU IS SOFT v PAU IS THE REASON WE ARE HERE
ODOM IS ODUMB v ODOM IS MVP OF SERIES
TROY IS AN IDIOT v TROY IS IGNORANT
wait, that last one wasn't really a debate.
well, anyway. And we are stil winning. If we win tonight, it's all over but the crying. and the sucker punching of bruce bowen. and probably we have to beat somebody from the east. but really, it's over.
still winning.
(waits through an entire possesion, including clutch ball movement from Luke Walton bringing it up the floor)
oh look, we're still winning.

An Ariza sighting!
Posted by: Korey | May 27, 2008 at 08:13 PM
Chance to put the foot on the throat, WALTON, NOooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!
Posted by: valleylaker | May 27, 2008 at 08:14 PM
LOL LUKE DIDNT EVEN LOOK LIKE HE TRIED TO MAKE THAT SHOT. LOL.
BUT HEY AT LEAST HE SHOT IT.
WHY CANT KOBE GET TO THE FREE THROW LINE. CALL THE GAME EVEN REFS
Posted by: Paul Lee | May 27, 2008 at 08:14 PM
That 4-point play really helped...especially since Jordan's idea of a good play to close out the 3rd would be to dribble the clock down and pass to Luke for a 3.
Posted by: Janet | May 27, 2008 at 08:14 PM
I have no idea how that wasn't a foul on Horry when he shoved Ariza in the back
on that rebound... How can the refs be that inconsistent???
Posted by: Bzar | May 27, 2008 at 08:14 PM
SASHKA!!!
Posted by: shneurson | May 27, 2008 at 08:14 PM
we WON each quarter
5+1+1
3-1??????????????????????????
Posted by: Zin Master | May 27, 2008 at 08:14 PM
Is Marv Albert the President of the Luke Walton fan club?
"tough angle three"? What the hell is Marv talking about?
Posted by: pfunk36 | May 27, 2008 at 08:14 PM
+7 after three.
It's all good. FATIGUE will do in the Spurs.
Posted by: MiloRambaldi | May 27, 2008 at 08:14 PM
phred ~
word.
GO LAKERS!!
Posted by: Happy Camper | May 27, 2008 at 08:15 PM
Trevor Ariza sighting!
You know we forget that the reason we loved the Lakers at the beginning of the season was due to the line up of Farmar, Ariza, Bynum combination...those were the guys giving us the wins. Those guys naturally play better with each other cuz they were the young guys, the original bench mob...young freestyling flashy players. I think the combination of Farmar and Ariza would do wonders. I think sometimes its still a transition for Farmar when hes on the court with the veterans.
Posted by: The Lake Show | May 27, 2008 at 08:15 PM
Strong start and finish to the 3rd. 12 more minutes of energy, focus, and resolution. Go Lakers!
Posted by: Rick Friedman | May 27, 2008 at 08:15 PM
LUKE!!! Just pass it sir you're much more effective for us that way. I'm not joining the vicious bashing crew on Luke out there but I will criticize where due. Luke has had the ball at key moments in this game and mostly has come up empty at THAT PARTICULAR MOMENT so in that way Yes he is hurting our momentum at about 3 critical points in this game. WELCOME TREVOR!!!! Finally getting a minute.. Hope he starts 4th while Kobe rests....
Posted by: jhnlannery | May 27, 2008 at 08:15 PM
Trevor.
Please.
I'm begging you.
Play well in the 4th quarter.
Maybe.
Just maybe.
Phil will give up on Luke.
Just as he gave up or Kwame and Smush.
The above I pray.
Posted by: passionate Lakers fan | May 27, 2008 at 08:16 PM
All we need is 12 minutes and we are in the final!!!
You could just see that the lakers are a better team the Spurs are holding on now we need to finish them!!!!
Posted by: shneurson | May 27, 2008 at 08:16 PM
Well, we're about to see the Spurs biggest punch heading into the 4th quarter. They're gonna run everything that they've got, down 7 and unable to take a lead so far.
Let's see if the Lakers can withstand the push.
Posted by: WWJWWD | May 27, 2008 at 08:16 PM
Why the long shot Luke? Why? You can't even make a 10 footer, why try a rainbow? Pass it to someone else if you don't have the confidence. Farmar should have taken it. Jeez.
Posted by: Lakergurl | May 27, 2008 at 08:16 PM
LOL!!! Props to PFUNK on the Merv post!
Posted by: jhnlannery | May 27, 2008 at 08:16 PM
Phil's going to rest Kobe to start the fourth. That ain't good news when you're protecting a small lead as we've seen in the previous games in this series.
Posted by: Tsphere | May 27, 2008 at 08:17 PM
We are up 7....essentially we gained 2 points..that is fine..we didnt lose any ground from halftime
1) shut up doug collins
2) space the floor, pass the ball, move and cut.
3) get luke out of the game.
ARIZA IS IN!
that is a good thing
and once again I have trouble understand D.Collin's call of the game...mainly b/c he has a mouthful of ####
everytime the spurs score.
REMEMBER LAKER BROS...THIS IS OURTIME!
and also....we have the MVP!
kobe won't let us lose...watch.
Posted by: Lakers4Realz | May 27, 2008 at 08:17 PM
how come at the end of the q. with kobe on the bench and sasha on the floor, luke takes the shot?!
this farmar -luke friendship has to stop on the floor
Posted by: Zin Master | May 27, 2008 at 08:17 PM
Were playing 5 on 8 with the REF's out there and were still up by 7 at the end of 3.
I keep waiting for them to even up the calls but that's not going to happen tonight...
Posted by: tomK | May 27, 2008 at 08:17 PM
LOL at Craig Sager wearing the Laker Yellow!
Posted by: melos | May 27, 2008 at 08:17 PM
Anyone else watching the TNT feed and just see some dude give a little commentary going into the 4th? Anyone know who that is? I think they need to have him join Barkeley, EJ, and Kenny.
