Someone teach Gasol and Walton to SLAM the ball!
Posted by: wijg | May 27, 2008 at 06:41 PM
I shouldn't say that about Joey. He's probably okay
Posted by: johnny | May 27, 2008 at 06:41 PM
nobody would make fun of Luke Walton if he was any good.
Posted by: The Lake Show | May 27, 2008 at 06:41 PM
Rebounding in favor of LA 10-2.
Did someone pull out the old VCR tapes of Riley's "No Rebounds--No Rings" speech?

THE DUMBEST DECISION MITCH K MADE ALL YEAR.
SIGNING LUKE WALTON TO 6YR $30 MILLION
LUKE CAN DEFEND AND CAN'T SHOOT.
AND FOR SOME REASON HE THINKS HE CAN DRIVE TO THE HOLE NOW.
Posted by: Gunner | May 27, 2008 at 06:44 PM
Big time flop from Horry, but that comes from scouting. Luke's pretty predictable in trying to post people down like that.

I generally don't mind when Phil puts Luke in like everyone else, but I like how Vladdy was playing. He should have played the entire first quarter.
Posted by: Xodus | May 27, 2008 at 06:45 PM
That was a B.S. charging foul on Luke.
That was a B.S. charging foul on Farmar.
Posted by: Korey | May 27, 2008 at 06:46 PM
Wow, that was a huge Duncan travel.
Posted by: Janet | May 27, 2008 at 06:46 PM
OK, no more Luke Walton tonite.
He is not ready to play and pfhukin up all of Kobe's passes and setups.
Posted by: Korey | May 27, 2008 at 06:47 PM
Walton is a total disaster
Posted by: LakeShowPrigo | May 27, 2008 at 06:47 PM
OMG Duncan with that drive dunk!! WOOT!!! Only down by 5! Here we come!

Posted by: vi lakerfan | May 27, 2008 at 06:48 PM
Duncan definitely traveled on that one.
Posted by: Xodus | May 27, 2008 at 06:48 PM
Memo to Luke Walton....you CANNOT miss shots like that in the playoffs and be on an NBA team. CAN NOT.
May your father's ailments be transferred to you.
Posted by: BH | May 27, 2008 at 06:48 PM
Luke Walton is absolutely worhtless. 1-2 Fts. Charging foul. I am counting AT LEAST 2 missed layups. Take him out Phil. Ariza should get his minutes.
Posted by: Tom | May 27, 2008 at 06:48 PM
Duncan channeling the European Two Step. Can't believe that wasn't called!!!
Posted by: melos | May 27, 2008 at 06:48 PM
Luke Walton IS NOT AN OFFENSIVE PLAYER. Why does he keep thinking he is.
Posted by: troy | May 27, 2008 at 06:48 PM
I know Duncans got long legs, but running in from the 3 point line and never putting the ball on the floor is insane!

Luke Walton has regressed. He's back to being a 2-bit scrub.
Posted by: troy | May 27, 2008 at 06:49 PM
Luke the Puke! Please put in Ariza rather than Luke. Lakers already lost this game.
Posted by: never | May 27, 2008 at 06:49 PM
Dear Mitch: please trade Luke.

Luke Walton is worst than AIDS... if someone get to find the cure for the AIDS, the next cure to find will be for Luke!
Posted by: classic | May 27, 2008 at 06:49 PM
MAMBA24...........
SIGN ME UP FOR THE PHIL JACK-ASS IS A DUMB-ASS......
For those who rides his sack this is what im talking about in game adjustment........he is trash
Posted by: compton finest | May 27, 2008 at 06:49 PM
Luke needs to be left on the bench...
Posted by: Ku | May 27, 2008 at 06:49 PM
ooo i forgot to mention Gasol is still so soft. He lets Duncan get a free ride to the basket like that? First of all he should be alert on D second of all he should have hacked him hard to send a message. Go play in the WNBA Gasol.
Posted by: Tom | May 27, 2008 at 06:49 PM
I'M BEGINNING TO BELIEVE PHIL JACKAZZ ONLY WIN RINGS BECAUSE HE HAS GREAT PLAYERS.
HOW CAN YOU PICK LUKE OVER THESE PLAYERS:
TREVOR ARIZA - EVEN IF HE'S NOT IN GAME SHAPE, RIGHT NOW 50% OF HIM IS BETTER THAN 100% OF LUKE.
WHAT ABOUT TURIAF OR NEWBLE?
PHIL MAKES IT LOOK LIKE HE DON'T HAVE ANY OTHER BETTER PLAYER ON THE BENCH. WE ARE NOT THE CHARLOTTE BOBCATS OR MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES WITH NO BENCH!
WE HAVE BETTER PLAYERS!
Posted by: Gunner | May 27, 2008 at 06:50 PM
I would give anything, but anything in this world just to kick luke "friggin" walton's A S S
Posted by: David | May 27, 2008 at 06:50 PM
Lukee Walton already has 2 turns over and missing a dunk! Ahhhhh! Take him out of the game before the Spurs tight it up! Damn!
Posted by: Lakers Heart | May 27, 2008 at 06:50 PM
I hate Luke Walton. What does PJ have for this guy, some man crush? He is singlehandedly blowing the game.
Posted by: HawaiiD | May 27, 2008 at 06:50 PM
I will have a hard time believing the referees are in good faith. Three referees did not see that in the open court. I have never seen anything like that.
Posted by: d | May 27, 2008 at 06:50 PM
I rarely complain about the refs, and when I do it's because they're doing a lousy job on both ends.
However - this is absolutely ridiculous. I guess Stern wants a 7 game series? I've seen some stuff in this game that I know my dead grandmother could call better.

Thanks on the tnt.tv feed. It's great in the absence of anything else, but there's no way to know score, time, etc., and the angles are difficult to watch all game long.
I'm watching it. But if anyone's got a better link...pretty please...

BWHAHAHAHH!!!
Posted by: cello_the Spurs fan | May 27, 2008 at 06:50 PM
PJ can't be happy with what Walton gave him (or gave up) in the first quarter. We'll likely see Ariza get a chance to earn some minutes.
Posted by: Rick Friedman | May 27, 2008 at 06:50 PM
Damn! It maybe too early but why put Luke Walton? He is so inutile! That referee is overcompensating for his old trouble with Tim Duncan. He should not be allowed to ref any Spurs game.
Take L:uke out PJ! Damn.
Posted by: Lakergurl | May 27, 2008 at 06:50 PM
to think people were questioning bringing in ariza luke looks like he hasn't played in a year!!!!!!!!! wht does he bring again????
Posted by: vi lakerfan | May 27, 2008 at 06:50 PM
vlad was balling........ let see if phil leaves him out like he always do
Posted by: compton finest | May 27, 2008 at 06:50 PM
Cello, even you can't say Duncan didn't travel on that.

The Lake Show's momentum change with LO's 2nd foul and the insertion of Luke.
If we lose this game, I will blame Luke.
We were up 22-8 when Luke entered the game.
SA was struggling.
Luke gave them hope.
Posted by: passionate Lakers fan | May 27, 2008 at 06:51 PM
Get Luke out of the freakin' game and put him on a plane to L.A. RIGHT NOW. We should have been up by at least a dozen, although we have not played well the last five minutes of the first quarter.
C'MON LAKERS!
Posted by: Francesco | May 27, 2008 at 06:51 PM
OOOOOOOOOO - PJ just called out the refs!!!!
Let's see what happens during the rest of the game. I'm thinking that can't be good....
Posted by: justanothermambafan | May 27, 2008 at 06:51 PM
PJ can't afford to see if Luke will bounce back! Bench him now and send his clown azz to the showers!
Posted by: chuck23 | May 27, 2008 at 06:52 PM
I'm going to try very, very, very hard not to say anything bad about Luke Walton who made several mistakes and missed an easy layup. Biting my tongue.
Posted by: Nemaia Faletogo | May 27, 2008 at 06:52 PM
Sasha's move was pretty lame.
