Boston couldn't win on the road earlier, nor New Orleans last night. Here's hoping third time is the proverbial charm.

I am enjoying their misery.
Random thoughts:
-Pau's just gotta dunk it when he gets 2 feet from the rim.
-Farmar may still be weak, but he doesn't look lost or incompetent. The players all seem to support him though....great sense of community on this team.
-Refs you suck? Ha, not exactly the best way to get on their good side. That foul on Fish probably wouldn't have been called if they weren't a bunch of homers.
-The difference between the Lakers and Celtics? Good coaching, an established system, and players who know their roles. The C's looked lost.
-Look for Deron to come out strong next quarter, to try and take over.
-The Jazz have 1 or 2 runs in em. The Lakers better keep this up. The Jazz are almost convinced that they'll lose, but I think they have a run or 2 in them. Lakers have to help the Jazz confirm that they can't win tonight.

What does Radmanovich have to do to get consistent minutes?
Posted by: pfunk36 | May 16, 2008 at 08:34 PM
play for a different coach
That's funny............but you may be correct
Posted by: pfunk36 | May 16, 2008 at 09:01 PM
The difference in the 2 teams are being exposed right now. The Jazz try to play physical more like football to make up for the lack of speed and talent but its not working tonight. The Utah fans are showing their true colors and how classless they are by crying on every obvious foul call. Lakers need to be aware of the football tactics that Utah will try in the 2nd half and not buy in to the physical play that the Jazz will revert to. Pau need to pull his head out and be ready to face up and shoot the ball instead of playing with the ball in the post and getting stripped. He is the weak link for the lakers right now. If he picks up his game, it will be lakers by 23 tonight...

So if it hadn't been for those last 3 free-throws by Fish, the Jazz would've shot
more free-throws than the Lake Show in the first half... sounds pretty even to me!
I've said it before... this season... this series... this postseason is about
REDEMPTION!!
Go Lakers!

You have no idea how happy hearing the Utard fans cry like babies makes me. I'm smelling a championship here!

Is anyone else a little glad that the Lakers went through a little strife and are showing resilience? Let's not forget, the Jazz reached the WCF's last year. I'm happy to see our guys really step up here from the get go. A very established game plan; the collective team mind is well at work for the Lakers.

Chuck 23:
If Jordan doesn't stop regressing as game by game goes by I'm inclined to agree. I don't know why he suddenly "hit the wall" over the last month but definitely he's got to be a question mark in the offseason if he continues to disappoint. We are dangerously thin at the point guard position, especially with regards to footspeed. Neither Derek or Farmar seems to be able to keep up with Deron, or for that matter, CP3 or Parker with any consistency.... Hopely Farmar will snap out of it because I liked his game up until the 10 games of regular season going forward.... Any suggestions? trade or draft a point guard?

19 pts lead.....??? *shits himself*

If Sasha can a drive and pull up baby jumper demension to his game, it would be awesome...

Can somebody on the Lakers PLEASE rebound the ball?
Posted by: Rick Friedman | May 16, 2008 at 09:10 PM
Lakers just need to keep the killer focus. Gotta be prepared for the eventual Jazz run and Deron Williams catching a clue and taking the ball inside.

Wouldn't that just be amazing if the refs T'd up the crowd?
I can just see headlines in tomorrows papers about rioting and looting in downtown SLC by the angry Utah fans?
And along similar headlines, hell would officially freeze over the next day.

i'm really impressed by fishers defense
Go Lakers

Justa,
I think the Lakers get credit for the troll-b-gone tonight. I feel the wave coming, even after a win. They will be all over the internets wreaking havoc with claims of conspiracy. I love beating the Jazz, if just because of the fans.

JohnnyP
Fish will be back, but he will need a solid back up so that he won't have to log big minutes during regular season.
And Farmar in my opinion does not cut it!
Posted by: chuck23 | May 16, 2008 at 09:13 PM
LO has eyes in the back of his head!
Guys, I have to work, please do not make this game close.
GO LAKERS!!!

All right, Utah is trying to make a mini run here.
Posted by: KimD | May 16, 2008 at 09:14 PM
The Lakers are being outhustled coming out of the half. Gasol continues to be the weak link. The Lakers can not allow the Jazz to make a good run here and cut the lead in half.
Posted by: Rick Friedman | May 16, 2008 at 09:15 PM
Gasol's eating 'em up!
so how are those summers in utah anyway?
Posted by: CBuck | May 16, 2008 at 09:16 PM
Vlad with the turnaround. Hmm. Nice.
Posted by: KimD | May 16, 2008 at 09:16 PM
This series has been good for Gasol, I have seen a marked improvement in his physical play.........we will need that in the next series.
Posted by: pfunk36 | May 16, 2008 at 09:20 PM
I feel that for Vlad...whew!
Posted by: BocaLakerGurl | May 16, 2008 at 09:21 PM
Pig - assuming we take this game, I think we're ALL going to have fun bashing back the trolls over the next few days! Almost as much fun as watching a game - but not quite.! LOL! Even so, it will make the time off before the next series a lot more interesting!
GO LAKERS!

Love this!!! Jazz are trying to get a run going but keep failing.... and I hope they KEEP on failing..I'd like a win whther its by 1point or 20points, but only because of those lower than pondscum antics by the fans who teased fisher about his poor daughters condition and the idiot who brought the blow up sex doll dressed up wearing a sign that read "Kobe need room service again" and raised it everytime Kobe shot a free throw... SO a 20 point a**-kicking on the Jazz home court is absolutely priceless to me.

Boozer is a mess. I'm lkining it.

just meditate about your favorite player:Farmar?!
Posted by: Zin Master | May 16, 2008 at 09:30 PM
it's amazing that they don't have any T's on the jazz... between williams and boozer they have been screaming at the refs, and not to mention that both times they were obvious calls against them!
Posted by: bonez | May 16, 2008 at 09:30 PM
I've finally got it. I've been trying the whole series to figure out who Boozer reminds me off, and I finally got it. He looks oddly like Derek Smalls, bassist for Spinal Tap. Can't say why, but I think the mustache helps.

Hey Ks
WHEN we advance to the western conference finals, will you guys be able to blog away games?
Posted by: CBuck | May 16, 2008 at 09:31 PM
C'mon guys! FOCUS!!! SETTLE DOWN!!!
This is our time - our series - GO LAKERS!
Posted by: justanothermambafan | May 16, 2008 at 09:31 PM
The Jazz are still playing to win this game. The Lakers need to play smart down the stretch. We should try to increase the lead before the Bench comes in and have a decent cushion if Utah makes another run. This game is far from over.
Posted by: Rick Friedman | May 16, 2008 at 09:31 PM
The lead is down to 14. Nothing to worry about. But we're back to 50% free throw shooting in the quarter. The lead should be at least 16. I hope the guys realize that we need to think about avoiding an overtime.

r u a Boozer fan?!
Posted by: Zin Master | May 16, 2008 at 09:31 PM
The Lakers need to make the sure play. Run some offense. Pau making weak turn over passes to Vlad is a play that you don't need. Boozer still trying to play football, this is basketball Carlos, not football!!....
Posted by: 70'slakerfan | May 16, 2008 at 09:31 PM
The next few minutes are crucial for the Lakers and Phil Jackson........What will he do?
Do you bring in Farmar and Walton?
If so......for how long? Do you risk the bench mob being in the game too long and giving up this lead?
What would you do?
Posted by: pfunk36 | May 16, 2008 at 09:31 PM
Tip my hats off to the officials. Finally some really fair officiating. These are the best officials in the NBA for a reason. If I'm a Jazz fan I'm pissed but because of the replays they can see and even in real time you can subconciously see that it's fair officiating even. No bail out so far.
Posted by: labor | May 16, 2008 at 09:31 PM
Cannot Let up Lakeshow. Vlade, where have you been buddy! Love the attacking mentality from everyone. Looks like Phil told the guys to go at the Jazz off the dribble every time. They are too slow to stop our guys one on one. Great coaching. The role guys are dominating. I love it. 14 more minutes.
