Anyone want to hang on the Riverwalk?

San Antonio finally got their road win against New Orleans in the Western Conference semifinals, and fair to say it came at a pretty good time. Game 7, 91-82. As it probably should be, the road to the Finals, and hopefully a parade, still goes through the champs.
Plenty more to come tomorrow.

Fairweather Fatty:"To my Lakers Band of Brothers,Thanks for covering my back"
FATTY WE ALL KNOW THERE CAN BE BUT ONE. Besides the
lunacy the troll was spouting could only mean either you had
gone to the Darkside, or you would have to be comkmitted. I
shudder at the thought of either alternative. LOL! Welcome back.LOL!

DROB50...
Sounds like basketball is the least of your worries...what with all the talk about cornholes, dirty underwear and dating women with men's names! Better take care, cowboy...most "women" with men's names have men's body parts, too!!

By your own admission, you are a TROLL and an ugly one at that!
We welcome good BASKETBALL give and take here on this blog, but that sophomoric crap that you are posting is not worth responding to, which I will no longer do.

I think this thing? you posted back to might be TJ Simers.
His sentence structure and verbiage sound very similar. He's blind to the obvious truths and spouts off some incredible silly stuff.
Anybody who would admit he was ugly as an A$$ whole has got to be pretty darn stupid. We'll, you know what they say, everything is big in Texas, and this thing is one really big A$$ whole.
"Aw shucks, I'm really just some country butt ugly dude, and stupid too."

Oh i will keep posting here don't worry. And IF we do lose i will be man enough to admit it. But if we win i will definetly be here to show you that our team still has what it takes to win this. But i will be honest with you, after this year I see Huge changes in the spurs line up. Though they worked thier butts off this year they did looked tired. They do need some fresh legs after this season. But until then, Lets see what happens starting tommrow!
GO SPURS GO!

I prefer the troll who merely crashes our party, openly declaring their hate for the Lakers - what I hated were ones posing as fans while tearing down a member of our team over and over in each post.
The Spurs are the same team which means that window will soon be closed. Meanwhile, our Laker team is mostly brand new - with the exception of 9rings, Fish and KB24. We will be very good for a long time. The Spurs will go back to mediocrity for a long time.

Guess I will go over to the spucks blog and post every day hateful tripe until Lakers win and then....Wait a minute i just remembered I have a life. On second thought I will just stay here with my fellow citizens in this here Laker Nation.

Rhon,
“Think about it... we won the title in 00,01,02, went to the Finals in 04, took four years off, and could win it all again in 08, that would leave 09 and 10...that’s six championships in ten years....that is a dynasty.”
It would also be Phil’s 4th three-peat putting him 2 rings up on Red and Kobe’s 2nd three-peat, tying him with MJ, vaulting him ahead of Kareem and Magic, and cementing him as Jordan’s heir to the greatest ever. Finally, it would be Andrew’s 1st three-peat and give him a leg up to take over down the road and eventually win more championships than the esteemed Bill Russell. History in the making in Lakersville. Pretty cool.

Edwin,
“Wow, this is a great feeling - no more Smush, no more Kwame, no more Cookie to break our hearts and we will be playing against an old San Antonio. For the first time after three dark years, our faith on strenght of purple and gold has been renewed. I am not an everyday optimist here but with this match-up I say Lakers will take the WC in 4-2. Mark my words, Kobe & Co. will play in June.”
As Vic would say, “feeling you.” It is impossible to be too GHF with this team. The championship is our destiny this year.

cello_the Spurs Fan,
thanks for the honest assessment of your team. Please keep being a sane poster. I think most of us here like to hear the other perspective. We've told this to fans of other teams time and again. Though the discussions will be Laker-centric (thus a fair amount of thick skin might be needed) most of the regulars around here and the Kam bros really make this into a somewhat sane place to discuss basketball....Laker basketball, but basketball nonetheless.
No matter what, this will be a fun series. I think both teams have something to play for. The Lakers and Kobe, a chance at redemption, the Spurs, one last shot at it. It ought to be the most interesting series of the 08 playoffs.

mel,
“Just need to stay home on the shooters. Let Pau and Lamar protect the paint.”
Amen to that. We play by Pop’s rules: NO OPEN 3-POINT SHOTS. Stay with the shooters. Let Pau and Lamar handle the penetrators. Do not leave Bowen alone in the corner for sure, Kobe.
Stay in front of Manu and Parker. Play great team defense. We are much quicker and more athletic than the Spurs which we will prove by controlling the boards this series.
Duncan is a 16/10 player now and just a shadow of his former self. Both Drew and Pau gave him considerable trouble on defense due to their length and height. Farmar also played pretty well against Parker in previous games and Jordan has been spending extra time after practice working on his shooting. I look for him to have a bounce back series.
Lakers in 6 but a sweep is not impossible, especially because of the Spurs age and no home court advantage. Pop deliberately held out Manu our last game so that his team would believe they had a better chance to win against the Lakers in the playoffs.

No doubt the Lakers have the most talent in NBA, but the Spurs will stand in the way for the Lakers championship run. Yes, KB and Lamar are tough match for Spurs; so are Tim, Tony and Manu for Lakers.
Unless you have a healthy Andres Bynum; otherwise, I don't see how Lakers can beat Spurs in the series. Spurs wiin in 6 games.
For those who dream Lakers vs Celtics in the final, sorry, that is fantacy! The truth will be Spurs vs. Pistons for the final.

Here we go Lakers Fans! Tonite will be an amazing night for these two teams. WOO HOO!! can't wait! I know the spurs will be tired from the previous series but they CANNOT let that be an excuse. If they start thinking that crap, this series is over. Hopefully they will bring thier A-Game. GO SPURS GO!

This is going to be a fun series. Kobe, Fisher and even Phill have given the Spurs due credit. The Lakers are my second team after the Spurs. My prediction the Spurs will win the series in 7. The Spurs went through tougher opponents to get the WCF, and the both teams split 2 games each in the regular season.
It's the Big Market versus the small market. While San Antonio has 2.5 million people, and now bigger than San Diego, is one of the largest U.S cities, still small compared to the largest market in the nation, L.A.LA Land.
I just hope that isn't a negative for San Antonio during the series, if you know what I mean. Oh..... and for the person calling the S.A. River a sewer, the Riverwalk is one of the most beautiful and visited attractions in America. GO SPURS !!!!!!!
