Accentuate the positive

March 15, 2008 |  9:30 pm

Gasol_lakers Well, it could be worse.  Pau Gasol will likely miss the rest of the road trip- no shock there- but how long the Lakers will be without him remains to be seen.  Could be a week, could be a couple, could be three, as the MRI he had today in Houston showed a "moderate sprain." "Moderate" isn't as good as "mild," but it's a hell of a lot better than "torn ligaments, what's your deductible?"

They'll take another look at Gasol in a few days and see how he's responded to treatment.  It could very well be that the Lakers will have a better idea of how much time he'll miss on, say, Wednesday than they do now.

In the meantime, the vigil can end.

Eric M.,

You have nothing positive to say. Just insults and criticisms. If you don't like my posts don't read them, you fricken tool.

GO LAKERS!

Guys,

Keep smiling! Gasol and Bynum will be back for the playoffs. We are going to be serious contenders. No need to pout or frown. Know whatever happens, we are on our way to an impressive playoff run. Beyond that, our team is young and this will just be the first of many.

Don't let one lackluster road trip with injuries dampen your enthusiasm.

GO LAKERS!!!!!

I agree with you johnnyP, as long as the lakers can hang on for one to two more weeks they'll be triump at the end

PS: Lakers lost today against the Rockets

When Bynum, and Gasol are back, they'll boost our offense by around 10 points at least. Plus, 3-seven footers in the lineup!

GO LAKERS!!!
