Not sure if he could score that many if he was in a gym by himself for 48 minutes.... but probably would have 72 rebounds and at least 5 blocked shots. HA HA! That's what we signed him for.

You know the blog is filled with Laker addicts when they all watch live on-line...
Did I just see a tumble weed fly across my screen in the delayed KCAL Game Thread? :-)

Lamar intangible: Tap to Kobe at the 2 minute mark. Huge.

veteran move by Fish.
Get a "gift" call on the other end, opponent pissed. He attacks and forces the refs to call a foul for him on the offensive end. And the young cats are frustrated.

The good:
we won!
The bad:
gave up some points for the lead
but the good again:
we responded very well
The bad:
valentine's day is coming up
and the last good:
i might actually have a valentine
LOL
Go LA KOBERS!

This second team could not sustain the efforts built by the starters. Nobody could stop Raymond Felton, a diminutive foxy guard. Lakers lacked hustle and grit. Gasol is great addition but he has a soft heart and merciful. Because of Lakers giving the Bobcats a chance to compete, they could not rest Kobe's fingers, Gasol's back or shall we say playing time for Karl.
Kareem has a big job to improve DJ. He lacks mobility and don't use his height advantage against liliputians.
Anyway, we will take the W again from the jaws of defeat. Well, we miss Bynum and Ariza who could add another 20 points from the score.

Lakers keep winning with a so-so focus on the game. It feels like the early championship years when Lakers didn't have to play well to win games. Lakers are confident they can easily win!
Phil Jackson needs to develop a killer instinct for this team.

With the addition of Pau we get wins by 8-10 points. With Bynum we got 15-20 point wins. Can't wait for the return of bynum to see by how many points we dominate other teams by!

doesn't matter whether you beat a team in the playoffs by 20 or by 8 or by 1. What matters is how crappy your defense is and how you almost lost because of it.

Champion
Defense is important because you have to have it to be in the playoffs.
The key word in your post is win. Win by 20, 8 or 1 is still a win. Almost is nothing actual is what counts. Yes the Lakers play good defense for the most part but can always improve. So almost losing is like who cares as long as we got the win.
