It might not take much for Chicago fans to start chanting "Kobe." If they start chanting "Smush," you'll know they've hit rock bottom.

Haha...Ill Help
10:54: Luke finds Kobe for a SWEEET ally-oop.
9:25: Lakers run out of fouls for the quarter.
8:00 Bynum rips another rebound for Wallace
7:45: Luke has an early 5 points

All right, I don't get KCAL, and the NBALP isnt carrying the game because it's on NBA TV. So I switch to NBA TV, and the game is BLACKED OUT.
WTF???
Anyone have an online feed?
Posted by: SBPimp | December 18, 2007 at 05:48 PM
Is anyone having audio issues with KCAL? I have static on both HD and regular KCAL channels...

a little sloppy, but so far, so good.
Posted by: the WOLF | December 18, 2007 at 05:52 PM
They have to look for Bynum in this one!

9 boards already for odom.
Posted by: sixonezero | December 18, 2007 at 06:05 PM
Wow, the fall away from Ariza! That is certainly not what one would typically label "his shot." I'm not even sure most people would label a jumper "his shot." haha.
But seriously, that was pretty sweet. And if he can start making attempts like that with semi-regularity, it'll open up a lot of ways to use him. He's having a very nice game so far.

good first! here's to a better 2nd!
Posted by: the WOLF | December 18, 2007 at 06:06 PM
Hard to find too much fault in that quarter. It would be nice to see them build out the lead, because unlike Golden State, it's not like the Bulls have the offense to mount a massive second half run. +6 again in the second would realy put them in the driver's seat.

1st quarter was a little sloppy and choppy by the 1st unit. Kobe and Fisher off so far from outside and we're letting the Bulls hang in there. LO and Drew doing good on the glass and Ariza came in with some energy.
Posted by: Nemaia Faletogo | December 18, 2007 at 06:08 PM
maybe Ariza should be the one guarding Nocioni...
Posted by: sixonezero | December 18, 2007 at 06:12 PM
The banch mob is kinda slow so far...
Posted by: laker from the south | December 18, 2007 at 06:14 PM
Sasha, the 2 handed dunk! Hahaha!
Posted by: Tsiry | December 18, 2007 at 06:17 PM
Where would the Lakers be without Sasha, Ariza, Bynum and Odom tonight.
Posted by: The Lake Show | December 18, 2007 at 06:18 PM
you can't stop sasha....you can only hope to contain him.
Posted by: sixonezero | December 18, 2007 at 06:18 PM
i like the controlled game lamar is playing.
hes not forcing anything.
the force, is strong with him tonight.

The faaaaaaaaaaace!!!!!!!!
Posted by: laker from the south | December 18, 2007 at 06:19 PM
faaaaceeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! hmmmm...
Posted by: Yoda Speake | December 18, 2007 at 06:20 PM
they're guarding Sasha like we're guarding Nocioni
Posted by: sixonezero | December 18, 2007 at 06:20 PM
Lakers need to take advantage and get more separation. Sasha hit some nice shots so far. Gotta play smart and with more energy.
Posted by: Nemaia Faletogo | December 18, 2007 at 06:21 PM
FAAAACCCCCEEEEEEEE . ahhh yes.
Posted by: Yoda Speaks | December 18, 2007 at 06:21 PM
Wow. Kobe needs to stop the deal with his pump-faking before the shot. That's how he got injured against the Warriors and now most of his shots fall short because the defenders know he is faking! He needs to heed Phil's advice and just shoot the ball if he is in a good rhythm. Man.... it's frustrating sometimes.

Sasha is slowly becoming less of a guy who shoots because he feels like he has to (which usually resulted in him chucking so quickly there was no way it would fall) to a guy who shoots because he wants to (with much better rhythm).

ELECTRIC BLANKET!!!!
Sasha is heating things up in Chi-town.
Posted by: Long Time Laker Fan | December 18, 2007 at 06:25 PM
Sasha is carrying the team. Kobe is worse than Lamar Odom. Is it me, or Kobe has not grown up a bit. He still force his shots like he has something to prove. What's wring with this guy? Where's KLbeast when you need him?
Posted by: Staples 24 | December 18, 2007 at 06:27 PM
well most of the team is worse than LO by your standards
Posted by: the WOLF | December 18, 2007 at 06:33 PM
Great decisions on that possession with Bynum to Luke. Luke recognizing that the shot clock was winding down, so he cut to the basket to create an option. And Drew was patient, but aware of the clock. Nice job by both.
Posted by: Andrew Kamenetzky | December 18, 2007 at 06:37 PM
ugh. what a bland second. they have to pick it up for the second half or its game over.
Posted by: the WOLF | December 18, 2007 at 06:38 PM
its attack of the spam bot!!!
Posted by: the WOLF | December 18, 2007 at 06:43 PM
Staples24,
Give it a rest, my friend. Kobe is a shooter and a scorer. He will always keep taking his shots because he knows, sooner or later, they will start falling.
It's not that he has something to prove. He's proven plenty.

DEFENSE and the TRIANGLE wins games!
Hope Bynum can recover in the 2nd half..
He's a missing LINK!
Posted by: shaggy | December 18, 2007 at 06:45 PM
lakers on their way to 100
Posted by: laker lover | December 18, 2007 at 06:45 PM
Kobe is "Mr Force Shots". That will never change.
Sasha should replace Kobe in the starting line up. That should teach him a lesson or just trade him.
Lakers easily up by 15 pts by half time if Kobe plays team ball.

The Bulls are doing a good job of keeping Drew from getting in good positions offensively, but he's doing a great job of passing out of the post.
Those passes were Shaq-esque.
Posted by: Xodus | December 18, 2007 at 06:52 PM
Pretty soon the Chi-Town crowd will start chanting "Sasha." lol.
Posted by: Faith | December 18, 2007 at 06:52 PM
JACKIE JOHNSON...The beautiful one!
We could use some sunshine! And I'm not talking about your smile ; - )

If Luke's hitting his threes again, that'll add another dimension to our team
Posted by: Xodus | December 18, 2007 at 06:58 PM
I like how LO's been playing lately. He hasn't been Mr. 13 mill a year but he's been very solid.
Posted by: Xodus | December 18, 2007 at 07:02 PM
how are the lakers doing now?
