I'm in St. Louis right now and believe it or not, the Bucks don't merit televised coverage out here. Go figure. So take extra care to be my eyes and ears.

Kobe and Redd are canceling each other out. Its up to the other Lakers to step up!
Posted by: Wynk | November 21, 2007 at 07:14 PM
Put Bynum back in!
Posted by: Wynk | November 21, 2007 at 07:16 PM
Kobe, stop shooting 3's. Lamar, why do you only have 8 points????
We're down by 4 and the Bucks are heating up.
Posted by: Wynk | November 21, 2007 at 07:19 PM
Keith Bogut? I thought his name was Andrew Bogut
Posted by: bobie | November 21, 2007 at 07:19 PM
c'mon guys. gut it out!
Posted by: man | November 21, 2007 at 07:20 PM
Ok...we have played with them long enough! Last six mins we will dominate them!!!
Posted by: Bonez | November 21, 2007 at 07:20 PM
I don't think its a coincidence that when the Lakers gave up their lead Mihm was on the floor and Bynum was on the bench. Mihm shows no effot on the floor and plays without energy. This is the last guy we need to get rid of for Lakers to be a good team. He is the only guy on the roster right now without energy.
Posted by: Tom | November 21, 2007 at 07:22 PM
Buck 88 Lakers 84....The screen and roll is killing the Lakers. Here is where Kwame is most useful. This is a good defensive game and a play or two might win or lose the game...Andrew just came in for Mihm. Thank God.
Posted by: peter | November 21, 2007 at 07:23 PM
And that's what I love. Bynum has a rebounder's touch. Put back slam. Though I could do without the technical.....
Posted by: Wynk | November 21, 2007 at 07:24 PM
game got away from lakers in a hurry
Odom is back to being Odom it seems
Posted by: tim | November 21, 2007 at 07:27 PM
We have TOTALLY messed up this game
Posted by: Bonez | November 21, 2007 at 07:28 PM
Lakers are collapsing offensively and defensively. With only 3 minutes left, Lakers down by 6.
Posted by: Wynk | November 21, 2007 at 07:28 PM
now it's ugly.
back to basics and good D is the only winning alternative. i sure hope these guys regain their composure. up until now, they've played a good game. unfortunately, they've not shot well.
Posted by: man | November 21, 2007 at 07:29 PM
That's the fire Mihm needs to have. Learn from Bynum. Bynum should have been much earlier to replace Mihm. Mihm is garbage. Period. People say he was average 10 and 6 before injury. I remember that but I was remember he was a horrible screen and roll defender and a horrible help defender. He gave up more points than he scored.
Posted by: Tom | November 21, 2007 at 07:29 PM
Lamar has to find a way to be an offensive threat on this team. The bucks are on this half, so they are playing better.
Posted by: wow | November 21, 2007 at 07:30 PM
LO is killing us!!! Don't give him the ball in offense!!!
Posted by: mirar | November 21, 2007 at 07:30 PM
what a ugly game. what the d?
Posted by: the WOLF | November 21, 2007 at 07:32 PM
Odom, I know you're injured, but you're 3s look flat and barely make it to the rim. Shoot a nice 15 footer or something.
Posted by: Wynk | November 21, 2007 at 07:33 PM
Omar, stop shooting 3s.
Posted by: Wynk | November 21, 2007 at 07:35 PM
Goat = Lamar Odom
Posted by: J. Walter Weatherman | November 21, 2007 at 07:35 PM
nobody talkin about kobe? 2 pts in the fourth? redd scoring at will on him?
Posted by: the WOLF | November 21, 2007 at 07:35 PM
Stop shooting 3s.....
Posted by: Wynk | November 21, 2007 at 07:37 PM
Are we sure Lamar isn't wearing a Bucks uniform tonight?
Posted by: J. Walter Weatherman | November 21, 2007 at 07:38 PM
well, they need to learn the lesson.
Posted by: man | November 21, 2007 at 07:39 PM
what's up with the threes? time is short and they are going for threes instead of driving in and getting foul calls to stop the clock? what kind of decision making is this?
Posted by: the WOLF | November 21, 2007 at 07:39 PM
This lost is on lamar. He does nothing at all
Posted by: wow | November 21, 2007 at 07:40 PM
Redd isn't really scoring alot in the 4th. The 3rd yes. I don't understand why they kept shooing 3s when the refs were giving them so many free throws from penetration.
Posted by: Wynk | November 21, 2007 at 07:40 PM
Urgh.
It seems that Lamar has lost this game for us.
Is Andrew Bynum now the second best player on this team?
GO LAKERS!
Posted by: Jon Kavulic | November 21, 2007 at 07:41 PM
Mamba24,
Put me on the list for breakout seasons for Bynum and Sasha.
GO LAKERS!
Posted by: Jon Kavulic | November 21, 2007 at 07:42 PM
where's the love for kobe? how many times you gonna brick three's mr bryant?
Posted by: the WOLF | November 21, 2007 at 07:44 PM
I hope Lamar is buying the team's Turkey tomorrow night. Heck, he should foot the bill for the whole meal, and yet it still wouldn't be as nice as the gift he gave the Bucks tonight.
Posted by: J. Walter Weatherman | November 21, 2007 at 07:45 PM
Jon,
Andrew is the second best player on this team. He is way consistent than lamar the choke and I only play 1 out of every 5 game. I cant believe im saying it too
This refs are anticpating too much they suck
Posted by: wow | November 21, 2007 at 07:47 PM
Ugly loss.
We still can't win on back to backs.
Odom was terrible, but not as bad as Phil's substitutions. Taking out Bynum at the game's end, then taking out Vlad when they needed at 3.
Yuck.
Odom, please, get it together.

a lot of hate coming 'round here! lose a game, blame LO. kobe shoots a million bricks, its okay, blame LO! bucks win cuz they outhustled the lakers outright, blame LO! Fairweather fans. everyone got schooled, not just LO. hypocrites.
Posted by: the WOLF | November 21, 2007 at 07:49 PM
A learning process trying to get to the contender level.
Not there yet; we will see if they learn from the mistakes.
Posted by: exhelodrvr | November 21, 2007 at 07:49 PM
I know the Bucks are 5-0 at home, but this game was winnable.
Our defense let us down. Chris Mihm frustrates the crapola out of me.
Posted by: Faith | November 21, 2007 at 07:51 PM
Odom has to play better. He has the best matchup at his position and does not take advantage of it. He should have easily had 20 points or more. He had Mason and a little point guard matched up on him. He has to stop playing small and play like he is 6'10".. period. Terrible game to lose... The lakers need another scorer and should move/trade lamar to get one if they have to... He just is not cutting it... He is the same ole under achieving lamar....
Posted by: 70s laker fan | November 21, 2007 at 07:52 PM
Lol. The game's over. I'm not sure what happened, but the Lakers kept shooting 3s and not driving, even if they were getting to the free throw line. Eh.....
Still, its one game. If we beat Boston, all forgiven.
Positives: Bynum: Should have received a lot more referee love. He was dominant today but received a few weak fouls that kept him out of the game. I didn't think I'd say this last year, but if he was in the game longer they would have won.
Negatives: fell in love with the 3. Mihm can't take it up strong and lacks Bynum's soft hands. Omar was aggressive at least, but his shots were so off tonight I'm worried he's regressing.
Defensive breakdowns everywhere. But the Bucks played a good game. Yi looks great and will be at least a good player in the league. They're 5-0 at home and look nice a good team.
Posted by: Wynk | November 21, 2007 at 07:52 PM
Why is odom shooting 3s ever? I dont want to toot my own horn but I warned that Odom would slow down the lakers. He doesnt fit into an up tempo game and doesnt have a perimeter game in a half court game.
Posted by: lakerlover | November 21, 2007 at 07:52 PM
After that first quarter we just straight up laid an egg! No excuse and why is mihm even on the floor at all?
Posted by: Bonez | November 21, 2007 at 07:52 PM
Kobe forcing too many shots in the 4th, lakers fell apart in the 4th quarter on the road.
Posted by: lakerlover | November 21, 2007 at 07:54 PM
Phil is experimenting with lineups at a strange time. Kwame's injury has been a big problem because of the rotation more than anything. That plus Mitch making a move that disrupts the chemistry of the 2nd unit makes it tough to judge where the team is now.
It's hard to criticize Lamar, which I did the whole game, but something needs to be done. He got the ball down low, on the wing, out top and he couldn't convert anything. At his pay grade, he needs to find a way to fill gaps every night. Tonight the team needed him to score.
Still, if we could somehow pull out a win in Boston, we'd be back on track. It's damn long season.
Happy thanksgiving, blog bros.

Lamar didn't play well, but he wasn't the only one! Kobe took too many three's, Bynum (and Kobe) stupid technical fouls, Farmar didn't play well, Mihm didn't contribute a lot.
This team does not have a lot of margin for error; when they don't play smart and/or aren't hot from three-point range, they aren't going to beat decent teams.
Posted by: exhelodrvr | November 21, 2007 at 07:55 PM
the LAKERS lost this game. bogut shot all over bynum in the fourth, villaneuva shot over LO, kobe held redd in the fourth, but gave him 14 in the third, and then he shot the team out of the fourth, vlad couldn't defend, etc. THEY LOST IN THE FOURTH!!! THEY GOT OUTPLAYED!!! and you guys blame individuals. why is it that you guys have to have a smush all the time? human nature I guess...
Posted by: the WOLF | November 21, 2007 at 07:56 PM
take it easy guys...let's see what they learned from this loss...a win in Boston woudl erase this game in our memories...I'd take 2-1 road record anytime...relax people...
Posted by: kobelovesjuan | November 21, 2007 at 07:56 PM
LO was horrible on offense, but he was even worse on defense. He just stands there like a statue with his hands up. He had abslolutely ZERO presence in the paint tonight and no anticipation whatsoever. I think he smoked out last night and as a result, his reaction time and decision making is temporarily completely gone. Snap out of it Lamar!!!
Posted by: LAKER TRUTH | November 21, 2007 at 07:58 PM
We lost the game but nothing I have to say. Anyway, I hope our lost is a blessing in disguise. We gonna bounce back. Next game is what we need for a win. I know we all wants a win against Celtics. So let's keep cool for the lost today. No need to say something stupid to our players, they're all trying to give us a win but it just didn't happen.
Posted by: trio | November 21, 2007 at 07:59 PM
This is what happens when you don't play defense. Odom was terrible. He's way too inconsistent. The team can't rely on him to show up game after game. I know it's one game, but are we shopping him? Does anyone want him? With bynum, Farmar, Vlad etc, he's not as vital as he used to be... maybe we can get something for him.. something that's more dependable. Odom should average 25 and 10 every night.... but obviously doesn't. oh yeah... and mihm was a waste of space on the floor... painful to watch.

The wolf,
Lamar did lose this game. He did not take any pressure of Kobe. When Kobe and Lamar's teammates cant get it going, its hope to Kobe and lamar to carry the team. Kobe played great in the third quarter, but lamar did not even show up at all. He had to show up sometime in this game. He had to carry us for one quarter, and he showed nothing at all.
For the money lamar makes, he should be consistent each night. We should know what we are going to get from lamar each night. Since hes been playing with the lakers, we never know what to expect from him.
You know what u getting from Artest, from wallace, from lebron, from camelo, from marion, from boozer, from maggette, from Joe Johnson, from Maun, from Josh Howard, from deng, from bosh.
And don't tell me the guys I just named are all stars, because lamar should also be an allstar himself.
I would give lamar's money to a better consistent player in free agency this coming year. At least we know Bynum is getting better, and him and Kobe have more chemistry than lamar does on the court. Kobe and Bynum looked good together.

oh well. get a good thanksgiving meal and whoop on the celtics.
