Rumors and housekeeping

The good news is that Kevin Garnett is rumored once again to be on the move. The bad news? The rumors don't put him in L.A. Instead, Boston looks like the destination du jour, with Danny Ainge's draft-day acquisition of Ray Allen having apparently made Beantown seem more palatable to The Big Ticket. At least he'll be out of the conference.
Also, on the housekeeping end, we'll be in Seattle on Monday. HQ will know, so hopefully everything goes smoothly.

im starting to hate the lakers organization..
i am definately utterly disgusted with the front office's effort to take this team to the nxt level..
what are they waiting for?... give up some prospects, and we can get someone too!!!
this is by far the most disappointing offseason

KG going to Boston is not Kobe's fault. This really falls on the lap of Mitch and the front office. How, you say? Well, if they didn't pass up on a lot of the players that they missed on the previous drafts who turned out to be good (e.g. Rashard, Josh Howard, Barbosa, Ginobili, Parker), then we could have easily gotten KG without having to gut the team out. Can't blame KG or Kobe, the deal as it turned out left Boston as the only team that would have still 2 good players to play with KG. Other than Boston, maybe Phoenix if they gave up Amare, since they would still have Nash and Marion. We can only be thankful that he didn't end up with a contender in the West. I think if the Pacers insist on Odom and Bynum we should pass that up and focus instead on Artest. I think Artest with Odom and Kobe would be really nice and also Lamar being from NY paired with Artest (also from NY) would keep Artest happy and on his best behavior. The Lakers should sell to the Kings the idea that Bynum is the center that they need and not Brad Miller who's a wuss that does not use his size wisely. Bynum (plus Cook or Sasha) with Bibby and Kevin Martin makes them a lot better than just Artest, Bibby, and Martin. If only we had a GM and front office who had real balls, the team would be in much better shape!

"Kl advise isthis:
Walton should be the cornerstone of the Lakers.
He said that he is his favorite player."
Everybody in thier heart knows Luke is not a player who can lead a team to wins. But he is a capable bench player, and I love him, and glad that he plays with us. But to say that Lakers FO SHOULD build around him, that's totally UN-LAKER LIKE.
I wonder if you are really a Lakers fan. From the way it looks, You are not!
And please stop pretending that you want the best for our team, 'coz it's obvious you don't.
A true fan always ROOT for who plays for the team. Whoever they are. And right now, WE have KOBE. Period! Until he wears another color, he will be a laker and that means we "TRUE FANS" should support him. Just like we did with SHAQ when he was here or SMUSH, or anybody that once in time wore purple and gold.

Big time Lakers fan here, since the Gail Goodrich/Happy Hairston days (okay, Jerry West/ Wilt Chamberlain). So how does this sound? Kobe Bryant to the Chicago Bulls (with Brian Cook) for Luol Deng, Chris Duhon, Tyrus Thomas and Joakim Noah, then trade Noah to the Milwaukee Bucks (with a first round draft pick if you have to) for Yi Jianlian. I’m telling you, Lakers fans, you would fall in love with this team: Bynum (7-0 285) backed up by Yi (6-11 240) at center with Mihm (7-0 265) helping out; Odom (6-10 230) and Deng (6-9 220) flanking Duhon (6-1 185) with Radmanovic (6-10 235) at the four spot; Walton (6-8 235) as the sixth man with Fisher helping him quarterback the second team, which features Yi and includes SF Tyrus Thomas (6-9 215) and SG Javaris Crittenton (yes, Javaris Crittenton). The last two roster spots go to Ronny Turiaf (6-10 250) and Jordan Farmar (6-2 180). Kwame Brown (6-11 270), SF Maurice Evans (6-5 220) and SG Sasha Vujacic (6-7 200) spend most of the season (or at least the beginning of it in Brown’s injury-prone case) on the injured list.
