Guess that kills our chances of pitching "BruinsBlog"

Or at least "BruinsBlog: Featuring Live Blogs!"

Seriously, is there anything not against NCAA rules?  If there's an organization on the planet more out of touch with the world of 1990 (much less 2007), I'd be stunned.  John Travolta circa 1976 lived in less of a bubble than these folks (although in this particular scene our hero's dwellings are "aquarium" as opposed to "bubble").

AK and generic_one:

Thanks. Sounds like Charlie Bell for the MLE (or part of it) to me.

Tom

"It’s called Title Case in Word. Easy to do, hard to read."

Oh, yeah. I didn't consider that he might just be copying and pasting from a Word document.

Tom And generic_one

I Don't See You Two Talk About People That Uses Caps So Why Should I Be Talked About Just Because I Capitalize? Everybody Write In A Different Way So Talk About Them Not Me.

J-Cool,

Actually, I poke fun at people who use caps all the time.

generic,

"I poke fun at people who use caps all the time."

Please clarify:

Do you sometimes poke fun at people who always use caps, or do you always poke fun at people who use caps sometimes?

It's for a list I'm making.

ex:

The former. There are a wide variety of stipulations to my poking fun, though. For example, if it is after 2 pm on a Wednesday and it's sunny outside, I will never poke fun regardless of how many caps are used. If someone uses even a single capital letter between 11 - 11:15am on a Monday... well, let's just say that I can't be held accountable for my actions.

Generic,

OK, how the heck am I supposed to put you on one of my either/or lists if you aren't consistent?

I have to be able to identify you as a "cap-user" or a "fun-maker"!!

generic_one:

You must be a young poster. Anybody over 30 probably has trouble reading the size 3 font in the comments box. Lol.

Tom

You know, every time i hear or read the phrase "true" whatever, I just mentally turn off from what that person was trying to say, because that phrase is so badly misused. Including here. I see a lot of people trying to claim that only people who agree with whatever viewpoint they have is a "true" Laker fan. Y'all need to chill and shut it. I don't need to waste my time with that garbage anymore. Who died and made you the grand arbiter? When did you win the 'decider of all that's good and true about the Lakers" election?

Seriously, enough of that. And I go away for a couple weeks, and there are soooo many more attacks going on here. Why can't we stick to ball?

ex:

"Fun-maker" sounds a lot better than "cap-user" so put me down for that. I think.

Tom:

Just turned 30 a few weeks ago. Then again, I sacrificed a box of girl scout cookies to Cthulhu during a full moon, so I'm not sure what kind of crazy powers I've attained.

Michael A:

Amen, brother!

J-Cool:

Outstanding article by Kevin Ding on Lamar Odom. We got to keep LO someway somehow.

Tom

"How Can You Say That JO Going To New York Is Good For The Lakers? We Need To Get Somebody That Can Score And JO Is That Guy That Can Score."

How long is it going to take for people to realize that the Lakers can score. Their problem is ALLOWING POINTS.

What was the last score against Phoenix?

119-110

We scored 110 points but lost by 9 points. That's a defensive problem. That's been the story all year long.

mike

I Agree With You On That But Mike There Been Another Problem The Lakers Has They Didn't Have A Consistent Second Scorer Every Game So That Why JO Is A Good Idea To Get And People Was Injured On The Team Meltdown Mike There Was A Lot Of Problems That The Lakers Had This Season That Why It Was A Disappointing Season.

generic_one

And On The Artest Thing I Was Just Saying The Negative Thing But Here The Positive Artest Is A Great Defensive So Is Camby That Solves Our Defensive Problems. Mo WIlliams Or Tinsley Will Solve Our Point Guard Situation Why Is Everyone Want Grant Hill So Much? He Injury Prone And He Is Old.

iAnsanity
"youre so one-sided and hypocritical saying that genuine laker fans will want kobe out with your so called true laker group, hating on kobe consistently and when other bloggers try to show the other side of the argument by saying how valuable kobe is to the team.....you insult them and disregard them as "kobe's groupies" or whatever your want to say"

I DON'T RUN AWAY. I KNOW YOU HAVE YOUR OPINION. BUT YOU MIGHT NEED TO GO BACK AND READ THE THREAD "GOODBYE GLASSES" TO SEE WHO STARTED THIS. OR YOU CAN SPEAK TO LAKER TOM AND HE'LL GIVE YOU A RUN DOWN OF WHY THE BIG PLUTO IS SO GREAT.

JJ
"Improving the 1 and 3 won’t solve the dilemma of how to use Kobe and Lamar effectively together. It also won’t solve the dilemma of how to get Kwame Brown to achieve his “potential”. The Lakers need to upgrade 4 positions, not just 2."

I AGREE WE NEED A POST PLAYER BUT PRIORITY #1 IS DEFINITELY THE 1 AND 3 POSITION. IF WE LIMIT PENETRATION IT TAKES THE PRESSURE OFF THE POST MEN.

BrandonC
"Also the haters are all massive tools, besides being self loathing losers."

WELL YOU NEVER PLAYED BALL DIDN'T YOU. ARE LET ME PHRASE THAT DIFFERENTLY. YOU NEVER PLAYED IN A GAME THAT REALLY MATTERED. HUH?

dacsila,
"Our list is becoming longer and longer. I wish those haters and negative bloggers will just go away. More power to us true Laker fans."

IN MY DAY, I WAS A GOOD B-BALL PLAYER. TRASH TALKING ACTUALLY MADE ME PLAY HARDER. SO UNCLE TOM'S LITTLE IGNORE LIST ONLY KEEPS ME COMING STRONGER. I'VE BEEN HERE A YEAR AND THIS IS THE BEST THING I EVER CAME ACROSS. LET'S YOU KNOW ALOT ABOUT WHAT TYPE OF SO-CALLED FANS ARE OUT. THERE. IF YOU CAN'T HANDLE TRASH TALK YOU PROBABLY NEVER WAS GOOD IN B-BALL.

Farmar is the piece ...

I'm trying to tell you guys, that it's going to take Farmar to get J.O. to us without giving up Bynum...

Bynum + Kwame + Radmanovic + Farmar + Cook + Vujacic + #19 pick = JO & Tinsley

That is the one that needs to happen...

IF Farmar has to go in order to not give up L.O. then that's fine. All we'll do is draft another point guard and develop someone behind Tinsley. Also, we'll finally get rid of the cancerous, talent deprived players in the form of Kwame, Cook, and Farmar.

The lineup is
Tinsley,
Kobe,
Walton,
Odom,
O'neal.

That's a good team. Real good. Odom, Walton the main distributors. Kobe and O'neal the main finishers. Tinsley runs the offense.

On the bench we still have Evans, Turiaf, and Mihm.

Would you rather do the deal I propose or give up Odom & Bynum.

Farmar... has... to.. go...
