Wikipedia Defines the Lakers

January 9, 2006 | 12:13 pm

I was doing research for something totally unrelated and stumbled across this. Kinda interesting to see an encyclopedia version of the Lakers. Click on Mr. Wafer and check out his given name. This was news to me. I can see why he thought "Von" might be a little easier for his buddies.

Personally, I can't believe Jelani McCoy didn't make the list of "Notable Lakers." And where the hell is Shea Seals??? Outrageous! Anyone else y'all feel got snubbed?

Cool Link AK,
I think Von decided to use a nickname early on, but with a name like Vakeaton it was probably a really easy decision. Also Sasha should use his real name, Alexander or Alex sounds much better that Sasha.

AK,

The whole point of wikipedia is that anyone can edit the thing. If you feel something is missing, add it.

I can see why Von uses a nickname. Trust me having an unsual name (Asaad has not been the easiest name to live with but I love it.) can be interesting to say the least.

Dude, I love Jelani McCoy!

Go Bruins!
