From Ken, in response to Extra! Extra! 10.28, regarding who should be kept, Green or Profit:
"I think we should keep both of them and waive Slava M. who had not shown any improvement over last few years. He will cost 3 milliions, though. Maybe lakers can trade him to the bobcats."
That made me laugh. I think Ken may have come up with an interesting strategy, too. Trading every player who's not working out to the Bobcats. First Rush. Then Jumaine Jones. Heck, we even gave Charlotte Jamal Sampson during the expansion draft. It could also be a good method for keeping players who are underachieving, dogging it, or throwing around attitude in check. All they have to hear is "Bobcat" and they'll get their act together ASAP.

Maybe we were wrong about Vujacic. He looked much better last night versus the Kings. One of the Laker broadcasters quoted Phil saying that Sasha is starting to play like "he belongs here." Time will tell . . . .

Slava is one of my favorite players on the team, he has huge potential if he gets time, he is a volume player. The splitting time with Cook hurts his numbers, he's better at the triangle than he gets credit for as he goes to the right open areas, and he's trying to play D this year, I think the Media gives him a hard time and if you ever listen to Stu, he's always dogging Slava and giving props to Cook, a little reverse racism by Stu? Remember when Slava was the man with Kobe scoring 265 points a game, he just needs the minutes, I also think he plays better when he starts a game than when he comes off the bench, but either way, he needs about 25 minutes a game consistantly, that's the other issue, how can he improve if he's just playing spot minutes, no one can get in to a rythm like that. He's got the moves and he's an offenive minded player so he can contribute, what you really need is for the coaching staff to settle on a consistant rotation that allows him to development, you got to remember that he was forgotten last year so how could he have improved, he was having a good training camp and got hurt and was never allowed to recover.
